About this apartment rental

This unique and updated 1950's house has everything you want in a mountain town vacation rental. Beautiful and cozy inside and out. Plenty of space for 2 -4 people or even a family of 6 who wants to use the pull out couch.

The dining room has a wall of windows (glass garage door) that looks out onto an outdoor patio area and a gorgeous landscaped lawn bursting with colorful flowers and even edible fruits like blueberries and figs.

Large and beautifully landscaped front yard with patio. Off street parking in driveway that allows space for 2 or 3 cars.

The house is a duplex style, with a small living space with long term renters below this unit. The house is set up on a corner lot in such a lovely way that allows each unit to have separate driveways and entrances on opposite sides of the house. No spaces overlap, inside or out.

One mile walk or bike to downtown Hendersonville. Take a short and scenic drive to Asheville & world renowned National Forests.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this mid-modern house. It was within a mile of downtown, although the hill was a bit of a climb. 😉 The house was comfortable and kitchen well equipped. It was on a somewhat busy street, but you could not hear the traffic inside. Hendersonville is a lovely small town and a great place to spend some time.

We were in town for a baseball tournament and wanted to be close to the fields — this was the perfect spot. Melissa was quick to respond, allowed for early check in so we could get to our games and was very helpful! Plenty of space and easy access to downtown!

This was a great option for me, my husband and my teen daughter. We only stayed a night to drop her at her camp but that’s not because of the home. The house is very clean and well appointed; Melissa does a great job of leaving things in obvious locations to make everything easily accessible and easy to find. You’d never know there were downstairs neighbors so we did our best to respect them by being quiet where we knew their bedroom was. Honestly it felt like we were staying at a friend’s house - we had access to cleaning supplies, the kitchen and it’s accoutrements, towels in the bathroom, and nice sheets on the bed. It felt homey too with live plants, easy breakfast offerings and a coffee bar. The chickens are in a coop in the backyard and my daughter had a great time visiting them. She slept closest to them and said they made no noise until about 8:15 am, which was an appreciated. I loved sitting in the family room listening to the birds chirping this am, watching the chipmunk, and the rabbit. It felt like we were sitting in a Disney movie as the world woke up around us. Highly recommend, so glad we have this place booked for another night later!

Hopefully, the owner canceled and refunded as promised. Moldy shower, shower curtain and some floors, dirty appliances and floors, strong urine smell, large black ants, broken blinds, rusted beyond useable grill, filthy inside and outside. Owner was very rude and stated we were too picky even after seeing the pictured proof of disgusting condition. Could not have stayed as it was unhealthy to breathe the mold and unclean. OWNER made the VRBO experience HORRIBLE.

The only real negative was how the photos and description made me think I was renting a single family house with a back yard but it's actually a duplex built into a hill with other tenants on the bottom floor with a separate entrance and driveway and our yard was in the front. It ended up not being a big deal. I liked the home layout and the downtown shops were only a 3 minute drive away. And there was a hose outside to clean my bike after a good ride at DuPont.

The neighborhood is adorable, quiet, safe, and walkable. This house was great for two couples. Each bedroom had privacy and the rest of the house was spacious enough for 4 people to not feel on top of each other. We loved the mid-century style of the house too! We did not hear the downstairs tenants at all.

We spent 9 days in April at this cute place. Location could not be better, walk 5 minutes to brewery and coffee place. Grocery stores less than a mile and the center of Hendersonville around 1 mile away. It was just me and my wife and the house was perfect. Stocked with everything that you need for a pleasant vacation. We have booked it again!

The property was as described, but misleading. The listing doesn’t mention that it’s a multi-family unit. I was not a fan of the sitting room furniture; it was hard as a board. Also, if you are sensitive to noise, this is not the place for you. The windows are original to the house and you can hear everything happening outside; traffic, birds, chickens, dogs. The patio area is in the front yard, so there’s no privacy if you’re outside. It’s cute and served our needs but I would look for something else if I visited the area again.

Space was cozy and supplied well. Short drive to downtown and grocery stores, and centrally located to many other towns. Quick communication with host and was left fresh eggs, grocery discount cards and grocery bags. I do wish that it had been listed as top floor apartment within house rather than just listed as house, as we were looking to rent a property without other tenants. But the space was cozy in a quiet neighborhood. And the town of Hendersonville is very charming.

We had a wonderful trip to Hendersonville. The home was very cozy with the perfect amount of room for all 4 of us. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. Everything was very clean and cute. Loved the chickens out back and thank you for sharing a few eggs with us! Very nicely located so we could walk to town and quickly drive to Looking Glass Waterfall, Sliding Rock and trails to hike.

The property was easy to find; nestled in the city of Hendersonville. Great landscaping attracted your eye along with the quaintness of this property. Once inside, the layout of the home was easy to navigate. Bedrooms were immaculate while the kitchen and dining room area were easy to use. All expected amenities were there. Melissa was easy to communicate. Her welcoming message was spot-on. We will stay with her and this property again! Wonderful experience! Easy to navigate Hendersonville from this location.

We needed a place to stay to as we were attending a wedding, but that could also accommodate my dad’s struggles with mobility. The room with the attached bath was perfect for my parents since it was so close to the entrance and he did not have to go up any steps. In addition, it really helped that there was no large tub wall for him to step over to get into the shower. We were happy to see that there was so much mid modern charm! The neighborhood seemed nice and quiet, and absolutely beautiful with the fall foliage!

Enjoyed our stay! Walked to Creekside and enjoyed a beverage and food truck dinner with live music. Woke up and got to Hen Dough Chicken Biscuit place for amazing breakfast. Place was clean and surprisingly large. Perfect for 1-2 couples.
