About this apartment rental
Talk about unique — this loft, 1-bath vacation rental was originally built as a barn in 1916, and boasts no shortage of quaint, cozy character. And though the studio may give off a secluded, middle-of-the-woods feel, it's actually located just steps from the town of Hope, where you'll find charming shops, restaurants, and the popular Hope & Sunrise Museum. When you're not enjoying the spacious screened porch and wood-burning stoves, choose to spend your time hiking, rafting, or fishing.

This was a great location and space for this trip. This is a great location for a weekend, and very convienent for Creekbend. The newer TV, ample seating, and location made this a great fit. However, were super excited about using the outdoor fire pit that was on the listing. But there was not one when we arrived, which was very disappointing. Overall, I would stay here again, and recommend this to friends traveling to the area.
However, a few hiccups with communication did make this process a tad frustrating. The check-in process had different information, in that the online posting said check-in was at 3pm, but the booklet at the cabin said we could have checked in at 1pm. This earlier check-in would have been super helpful, especially since no response was received when contacting the guest host regarding the early check-in. There was some additional frustrations with contacting the guest host for questions regarding check-out processes, specifically there were not clear instructions on how to handle the trash.
Evolve generally didnt have direct answers regarding such topics (i.e. early checkin or check out procedures), and just wanted you to wait to hear from the guest host. This definitely would be nice to have resolved in the furture.

This cabin was the perfect place to stay with a few friends for a fun filled weekend in Hope! The cabin is beautiful, clean and very roomy! The yard was perfect for lounging on a sunny day and the screened in living room was great for bugs. Recommend a stay here to anyone. Thanks historic Hope cabin!

It is a quaint cabin with lots of space. Not a lot of privacy but a great spot in the heart of Hope. Perfect for a family or friends to gather. Would definitely rent again. The quintessential Alaskan cabin!

Wonderful location in the middle of old Hope. Museum and Library across the street with a playground in between. Fun people watching.
Beautiful yard with gorgeous flowers. The house is very comfortable. Both of the king beds were comfortable, but the sleigh bed is noisy. I appreciate allowing one RV to park in the driveway.

Absolutely loved this home. Plenty of space, lots of room to spread out. Loved the charm of the home and the entire little town! Went to get coffee at the little place across the street. Visited the library and bought a couple of books. Walked down by the water and through the old mining area. My son loved it as well. We will be back!

My daughter and I stayed for a week in this cabin and had an amazing time. The pictures don’t do justice to how huge this place is! Very easy to find and love the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. I would definitely come back to experience another season in this cabin!

We loved this historic cabin. And the town of Hope is an awesome Alaska experience.
The master bed needs more / better supports under the mattress, and the bedroom could use some blinds for the long daylight hours. But otherwise this cabin was a great combination of rustic and comfortable.

Hello all,
Our next stop was Hope, AK.
Such a small quaint town. About missed it driving thru. But onto the house, what y’all are wanting to hear about.
From the outside it looks like like an old barn. From the inside, it was amazing. Nice kitchen and living room. Upstairs had plenty of space to spread out. We loved the memory foam king bed in the main room and let our son take the king bed in the private room, he felt like a rock star. The town is amazing, so much to walk around and enjoy. The coffee shop, library and cafe were all amazing. The river views were awesome! Recommend 100%, we will be back!

Really neat historic property located near the middle of Hope. Still manages to be quiet and private, though close by everything in the village.
Be careful with the sleigh bed! The slats need to be secured!

What an amazing spot! This cabin has been lovingly renovated with modern amenities and comforts, but maintained the original rustic charm that you would expect from a cabin originally built in the 1900s.
There was plenty of room for my family of 4 to spread out (and would have been comfortable for a much larger group). The property manager checked in on us during a heavy snow to make sure we had what we needed and was quick to respond to any questions we had.
The cabin is in the perfect location to relax in Hope... and a quick walk to a nearby restaurant and a coffee shop for when you don't feel like cooking on your getaway.
Highly recommend all around.
Go visit!

We stayed towards the end of October when Hope is pretty quiet. The cabin has a great location in town. We found it to be very relaxing and cozy. It is an old place but clean and stocked with everything we needed. Make sure to try the Dirty Skillet when visiting.

This is a rustic property that has a lot of charisma and is clean and very quiet. We really enjoyed the rustic charm of this historic property. The water is good, and shower and bath quite functional. Kitchen is small but very functional. There was plenty of room for five people and six could easily be accommodated. If there is one thing needed it is a second bathroom upstairs. We very much enjoyed our stay in Hope.

Unique property, lots of room, in a beautiful town.
The home was really rustic / photo worthy. Lots of sleeping space upstairs, a big living room, and an outdoor space. Right within walking distance of great food / entertainment and the coast. Highly recommend. We stayed two nights and really enjoyed it.

Lots of Character
My husband, two year old son, and I stayed 6 days here. The cabin has lots of character which was great for experiencing the heart of Hope. One of our favorite things was the screened in porch which protects you from the swarming (and biting) flies. The town was also nice and great for little kids as it’s not heavily populated. Also, many great hiking trails in a close proximity to the rental.
Communication with Evolve wasn’t the greatest but the property owner provided his information a day before we arrived and he was super responsive. It was obvious that this cabin had just recently been opened up for rental so we provided some feedback to the property owner and hopefully the future renters can fully enjoy the cabin!

Cool place
Check in was really easy. The listing is very accurate. The property manager included a lot of helpful and interesting info. The place was not very clean when we got there. Lots of cob webs and dust. It looked like someone had shaved just before we got there because there was a fair bit of hair around the sink and in the medicine cabinet. The frame for the large bed is broken and the mattress sags. Also, there are no black out curtains on that side of the loft. The beds on the other side of the loft were comfortable and the external shutters were simple enough. We could not figure out how to get the ceiling fans to work and that made for a very hot night of sleep.
