About this house rental
*Recently renovated*
The Farmhouse is the perfect getaway. Located minutes from the Ark encounter and 25 minutes from Paul Brown Stadium. Featuring a spacious master suite (king bed), a queen bed, and 7 twins making it amazing for family/friend gatherings, or church groups. Enjoy a cup of coffee from our complimentary coffee bar on the front porch swing or sitting out back while watching the kids play on the Ark play set.
This Farmhouse was built in 1916, making it over 100 years old. It is full of history, charm, and a coziness that you’ll remember forever. The home has two levels and a basement.
On the main level, there is a large welcoming living room, it’s perfect for movie nights on the 55-inch tv, game nights or an area for the kids to play while the adults chat. Speaking of games, we have provided a game closet full of games for all ages for your use. We also have books around the home that will be fun to look at or read for all ages. There is also a formal dining area to eat all of your meals as family and friends. This was extremely important to me, there is nothing like starting out the day all sitting around the table and ending it the same way. You’ll also find a cute kitchen with several little nooks with things like a complimentary coffee maker and coffee bar as well as things like a toaster, waffle maker, and all of the plates and cups you’ll need. There is a mudroom filled with outdoor games like Spikeball, and Cornhole, as well as fire roasting sticks for you to enjoy your favorite treats and snacks cooked over the outdoor fire pit. There is one bedroom on the main floor with two twin beds and a full bathroom hooked to it.
Once you make your way up the grand staircase you’ll find a master suite with a King size bed, a 55-inch tv, and overall a space for you to get away from the craziness of the day and relax. Down the hallway is the second bedroom with a queen bed, and a fold-out twin chair bed, attached to that room is the third and final bedroom with 4 twin beds, and a tv, making it a perfect space for kids to wind down for the day and make memories with one another. Hooked to the third bedroom is a full spacious bathroom.
(There is a pack-and-play available for your use as well)
The basement also known as the dungeon will only contain the washer and dryer for your use. Laundry detergent will be provided.
If you are visiting us at The Farmhouse during warmer months you will have the opportunity to really enjoy the yard. We are on a double lot and have space for activities, and games, and have the cutest Ark playhouse for the kids to enjoy. There is an in-ground fire pit that is perfect for roasting s’mores, hotdogs, and starbursts. (Have you ever tried roasting starbursts? It sounds super odd but it's actually really good). We have the sweetest outdoor cat named Kitty who you will most likely catch a glimpse of throughout your stay. She is amazing at keeping all the little rodent friends away, but also amazing at keeping to herself.
I have put so much time and thought into the details of this home. It is extremely important to me that you enjoy your stay at The Farmhouse but even more important that you create and make memories here that will last a lifetime.
I know you will love this home as much as I do!!

A great old home to bring family back together. Everything was clean, well stocked and very well designed and decorated. Our family of seven, 9 months through 14 and even my 70 year old mother enjoyed this place. The little park with the pond across the street made for great fun with nightly feeding of the ducks!

Fit our needs to visit the ARK and enjoy family time.

The house is clean and the backyard is lovely. The kids had a great time playing on the ark-themed playground and plenty of room to throw the football. The dining room table was big enough for our big family.
Dry Ridge has a Walmart, which is very convenient, as well as some great places to eat. The drive to the Ark Encounter was nice and short. Unfortunately, Dry Ridge also has a constant flow of trains passing through and blowing their horns all hours of the day and night -- sometimes several per hour. Even though I highly recommend this property, light sleepers should bring earplugs for night time.

The property was as advertised and was perfect for or family of eight. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit and the kids loved the pirate ship. It was very convenient to the ark.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Farmhouse. It was just as pictured, but do read all the info- bedrooms and (small) bathrooms are configured oddly because it is truly an old farmhouse. We had 6 adults and 2 kids and it was a great fit. The yard is wonderful and the kids enjoyed it every evening while we made dinner in the equipped kitchen. We could walk down to a park with a stocked pond, so several family members got to go fishing- a fun bonus! The neighborhood is right in Dry Creek, just around the corner from Walmart and a Starbucks. It was a very quick drive to the Ark and not too far from the Creation Museum and Cincinnati. We enjoyed having a washer/dryer and the whole place was so very, very clean and organized. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Are family really enjoyed staying in this farmhouse. The yard was large and there were plenty of activities for the kids. There is small “lake” in short walking distance of the property where the kids enjoyed fishing and feeding the little ducklings. The house was very clean and well kept and perfect for what we were looking for. Will definitely come back again!0

The farm house was great, any issues we encountered was taken care of promptly! We were there to visit the Ark Encounter and the location was great! Great neighbors! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone needing a large house close to Ark😁

This was a charming farmhouse close to the Josephine venue. Perfect location to where our event was. The house was nice, clean, spacious.
There were 3 bedrooms upstairs with 1 bathroom at the end of the bedroom. It was kind of awkward having to go through everyone’s room to get to the bathroom, especially in the middle of the night. Made it hard to sleep. The 4th bedroom with 2 twin beds was downstairs with own private bathroom (which you could only access through the bedroom as well. )
Our family had a great time and enjoyed spending some time at the house and in the backyard. It was a nice stay!

Perfect location for visiting The Ark Encounter. Check-in was very easy. House was very nice, clean, and spacious. Lots of amenities. My kids enjoyed the yard games provided by the host. To note, have to go through bedrooms to access bathrooms which was fine for my family. Enjoyed our stay! Thank you Taylor

enjoyed - would suggest little clearer explanation of bathroom arrangements (a little awkward) and queen bedroom down stairs was crowded! would also suggest hand rails added to front porch steps. we enjoyed having beds for our group. used the outdoor fire pit and loved that.

We loved staying at this home!!! We stayed for two days during a trip to The Ark Experience! Very cozy and welcoming. Has a very Chip and Joanna Gaines modern farmhouse feel! Old historic home but has been updated beautifully. We enjoyed a bonfire in the fire pit in the backyard one evening and it was so pleasant. The only thing to be aware of is that the two bathrooms in the house are located within two of the rooms so the people in the master (room with the king bed) have to walk through one of the two rooms to access the bathrooms. We laughed about it when our parents had to come though our rooms in the middle of the night to use the potty. Just requires some flexibility - haha! If you could get away with not putting someone in the room with the daybed on the main floor, that would be a good way to have a bathroom more available to everyone in the house. Other than this small quirk it is perfect! The ark playhouse in the back is really fun for younger kids. Overall a wonderful experience!

We were very pleased with this rental property. It was spacious, clean, and equipped with the necessary amenities for our stay.
We did have a couple of suggestions for the owner:
A hand rail for the front steps, window coverings for all of the windows on the first floor, and a small table for all bedrooms.
We really enjoyed our stay. And thank you for your hospitality.

The farmhouse was great! Very clean, well decorated, comfortable beds, outdoor space great as well! Easy to communicate with the owners/ property manager. I would definitely rent this property again. Looking forward to possibly staying again. Also close to Walmart for grocery needs and such. We had relatives from New York, Washington state and Louisiana and we all really enjoyed our stay. Thanks again Nikki!

We enjoyed the lovely farmhouse. There were 6 of us altogether and we had a lovely time. I would recommend updating the kitchen to make it a little larger for eating and cooking meals. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend staying at this place.

The house was very clean and was very cute. We had traveling friends and they were able to park their 28 foot motor home as well. There was plenty of room for all. We spent most of our time on the lovely porch and fenced backyard.

Everything about this property was charming. The house, the grounds, the furnishings. All sooo nice. And the owner was so responsive to any questions we had.
Would not hesitate to stay here again if we ever come this way again.
