We had an overnight from returning from El Gouna until our flight left in the morning. I chose the hotel because of it's proximity to the airport and the photos seemed "good enough". We stayed in a "superior room" on the forth floor. Leading up to the room the hallway was long and seemed dated. Fine. But photos of the interior of rooms, I recalled being nicer. We got to our "superior room" to find the most dated interior. The laminate flooring has warped and had large gaps, indicating it wasn't laid properly. The "sofa" was stained. Knobs on the fixtures weren't cleaned and we had to wash our hands after attempting to turn lights off. There was long hairs on the counter in the bathroom. The floor seemed dirty enough that I laid a towel and left my shoes on it, so in case I had to use the toilet in the night I wouldn't accidentally not wear my shoes. Thankfully our flight was delayed from Hurghada so instead of the 8 hours I intended to be in this hotel was shortened to about 5.5 hours. Worst of all... I woke and found multiple bites on my wrists and ankles. All relatively close together... much like a bed bug would leave bites. So suffice to say... I've spent my first day back after what was a lovely vacation, bagging and isolating our belongings until they could be washed and dried on high temperatures, diligently vacuuming and steaming our suitcases. Spend a little extra for the peave of mind to stay elsewhere. Truly a terrible experience!

Hotel needs some upgrades to door security locks and the buffet food was mediocre. Upon check-in i did not have toilet tissue and the shower soap dispenser was empty. Also no washcloth was provided.

Excellent! After the Marriott Mena House and the Sheraton Four Seasons in Cairo, I was very pleased to stay at Novotel! No, it wasn't as ostentatious as the Sheraton but it matched every comfort and convenience at a reasonable price.My highest compliment is that I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

The hotel is wonderful. Check in staff Mohammed was really helpful and gave us a later check out also. They serve food 24hrs which is so great if you landed late and needed to eat supper still. The hotel is clean and well kept. Just my bathroom had a weird smell but i think this is common in cairo. The ambience is great after a long flight. Bedding was clean and fresh too

If you want an airport hotel then I’d book le meridian - at least that’s walkable. We arrived late, waited more than 30 mins for the transfer which didn’t arrive so paid for a taxi. The aircon unit in the room leaked and the sheets were so old they were bobbled.

I love the fact that it’s close to the airport.. there’s a shuttle that dropped me off the airport.. I took the taxi to go over which wasn’t that bad . The facility is very clean and very lively.. 2 pools and 3 restaurants and a cafe inside the hotel. Love it

The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are spacious for a short stay. The water is hot with good shower pressure. The food good however the servers are too quick to take the dishes. I eat slowly and every few seconds someone came to snatch my plate, even reaching to take it while I still had my fork in my hand. Overall the hotel staff were very helpful and I would recommend staying.

The Novotel exceeded our expectations. Everything seemed very high-quality and high class, and we were treated with the upmost of respect. It was very easy to get to with the free airport shuttle bus Or an overhead skytrain. The included breakfast is absolutely incredible, I would go there simply for the breakfast! They also have 2 Awesome swimming pools And very friendly staff. We were even invited to return at the end of our Egypt trip to spend a few hours there on the way back to the airport if we needed to. Highly recommended if you want a hustle and hassle free way to start and or end your trip, Because believe me, you’ll need it.

Lower your expectations. Pictures dont mean it is current. Rooms are good. However, communication ar check in may be difficult. Room service was very good and met expectations. Pool is 3 ft deep. Gym is locked and not 24 hour. Minifridge is emtpy at start. Buffet is not favorable to most American eaters.

The primary attraction of the hotel is the proximity to Cairo airport and that they have shuttles to the airport every 30 minutes. Unexpectedly for an airport hotel, they had a good pool and a gym. The rooms were good, but the selection of pillows was poor-only large pillows were provided. The food was good and the staff were excellent.

I thought the room was very well-designed and comfortable. My only comment re the room would be some information pamphlets. I thought the food was very ordinary. I ordered grilled fish, and obviously, the grill hadn't been wiped clean, as it tasted of meat. The second attempt was better but bland. Brilliant that they were very reliable at front desk and woke me up in time for very uncivilised flying time. Porters and bar staff were were efficient and friendly.

In our room 4129 the whole time was an air-conditioned hum, I guess from nearest facility. They know that and to cover it they give you a room with TV swich on and working air condition in the room,so youbwould not hear it.

The Novotel was a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle of Cairo. The room was huge- in fact two rooms. It was quiet and clean with good facilities. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Especially Emir the waiter who looked after me.
