Original room was too small then upgraded to bigger room and paid $50 per night extra. Even then the shower was not working either hot or cold or and same thing to the room heat .

Concierge was incredibly friendly and helpful

In general, the hotel is what you expect for a downtown hotel before a holiday. Crowded and too expensive, but that is how it goes.
I was surprised at how unhelpful, and often unfriendly, the staff were. The concierge provided no useful information at all, other staff were often curt.
One person did go a bit out of his way -- man named Singh who made checking in quick and at least acted like we weren't a nuisance.

Did not work for a man came up tried to fix it. States that he did and I wake up in the middle and I freezing because the heat did not work properly and I got sick as a result of staying there and the whole time I was there I felt lousy. I had to ask several times for a portable heater in my room

I was thinking it was a great deal for that hotel and turns out it’s was because they have some tiny little rooms! I mean tiny! But honestly was great for me and a great bargain so worked out well.

My room smelled like damp cigarettes. The check in attendance were not warm. When I politely spoke to them about the concerns with me room, they were unkind and unhelpful.

We arrived to a staff strike which included loud drumming, chanting, foghorns etc. It would have been nice to have been told about this prior to arrival. In addition the room was not made up on out 2nd day which meant not clean towels, etc. The water glasses in the main restaurant were dirty on at least the couple tables we sat at and the restaurant was only open a couple hours for lunch, 12:-2:00 p.m. which was frustrating and not what you would expect given the rates charged both for accommodation and food. Not a Hilton best, I've stayed at this property a couple of years ago and it was much better, having said all that the staff who were working were wonderful,

The hotel was nice and clean but in our room the television was on the side wall and could not be moved so we both had sore necks in the morning and the beds had sheets that seemed to be almost like a rubber sheet. Made the bed hot and uncomfortable during the night. The valet was very helpful and top notch!

The Park Plaza is noted as being one of the nicest, most historic hotels in all of Boston. The small room size is no surprise, as it is old and you can clearly see the room size when booking the hotel.
However, I was not made aware during booking that a massive strike was happening at the hotel, consisting of loud drums and horns from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. every single day, creating an environment that made it impossible for our baby to sleep or us to relax.
Both the hotel staff and Hotels.com were unhelpful, and I have still not been offered any solutions or compensation for the significant disruption. The strikes led to no rest or relaxation, and resulted in practically no housekeeping or guest services.
I love this city, but I will never stay in this hotel again. Stay far away.

Had horrible two nights at the property. Stayed for a night each with a gap of one day and both times the hotel staff was on strike so no room service, basic essentials like body wash, body cream bottles were missing from the bathroom. Rooms I got were tiny inspite of what i had booked on hotels.com. Lobby was always crowded, checkin took half hour. Breakfast area had no tables available, bar took 25 mins to serve a drink. Attitude of the reception was as if they didn’t care. I check out two days early and moved to another hotel.

Room smaler than pictures would indicate, needs renovation. Real tiny bathroom. Noise all the time inside the hotel , aggravated by a constant demonstration / piqueting at the front and back door. Elevators not enough to hotel size and not aligned with hotel claimed level. The great location does not compensate the havoc.

Hotel has a beautiful and lively lobby area with big bar. Only downside of hotel is that, although renovated, the rooms still felt old. Room was overall clean and comfortable.

Room was incredibly small, not worth 2k for the weekend.

Honestly i was super disappointed with our stay. i took my family to Boston since we lost our condo in Florida due to the hurricane and based on the photos this placed looked immaculate. Everything looked the same as the photos except for our room. For $1900, we were out in an extremely small room with wallpaper coming off the wall and walked in to the heat on and the room at 80 degrees. I called immediately and they had a maintenance technician sent up to our room to fix it. He was able to fix it but made an unnecessary comment about squirrels being in the air conditioners which really made us feel uncomfortable. My husband complained and we were upgraded to another room that was larger, but still had issues with no pillows in the room and again wallpaper coming off the walls. There were protestors outside for the three days we were there and could not sleep and our children were woken up to at 6 in the morning each day. We will not be staying here again.

We had amazing customer service due to an air on my part. We arrived one day for our reservation. The kind and generous woman at the check encounter was very helpful and assisted us with our issues of having a room.

Wonderful customer service! I miss plan the trip by one day and we arrived one day before our reservation. The lovely lady at the check encounter was very helpful and got us taken care of so we had a room for the night. She proceeded to try to make sure that we could stay in the same room for our two nights stay. I highly recommend this hotel

Wicked small is really small! Smaller than European hotels that are known to be small.

This hotel was in a great location and we were excited for a family weekend away. The room was tiny. The walls were paper thin and despite signs up guests were so loud walking and talking in the hallway all hours of the night. Not great for people with small kids or dogs that easily startle and alert.

Clean hotel, great location. Only complaint was that the room was very small. There wasn't a proper desk/table.

Hotel is in a good central location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Booked a superior room but dissapointed with the small room we were allocated given the price paid

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Boston Plaza.

I knew we had booked a smaller room, but the size of the shower was laughable. It was impossible to shower and not cover the entire bathroom floor in water because the shower curtain wasn't long enough and the actual shower was about 2 ft wide by 3.5 ft long. If you raised your arms to wash your hair, the curtain would get pushed away from the base of the shower and water would get everywhere.

Great location - close to shops, dining, and the subway. Room was very small for the price. Hotel staff were fabulous.

Room allocated was not cleaned properly with previous guest toothpaste marks around the sink. Safe did not work( this was fixed an hour later. Air conditioning unit did not switch off so an engineer had to be called to switch it off permanently meaning no air con if I needed it later in my stay. Restaurant staff rude.

Not up to Hilton standards. Bathroom was very small and there wasn’t enough space to put toiletries. There was a knock on the door at 8am for room cleaning. It’s annoying to wake up guests.
4.0 / 10.0
Bathroom very small. Vanity sink not enough space. Shelf above not wide enough. No safety bar for tub/shower for senior person.
On 11th floor and could still here traffic from street.

The lobby vibe is flawless. Lobby staff was friendly. Valet parking and bellboys not so much. These need to work on their attitude.

My wife and I brought my son to college and spent the week to celebrate our anniversary and empty nest status. The accommodations were great and the staff from the desk, restaurant, to housekeeping were all helpful and pleasant. Being in walking distance of the school and other places of interest were a bonus.

There was a staff strike going on, and it was impossible to get help from anyone. I couldn’t get anyone on the phone or in person, I had to wait in line for an hour to speak to someone

Hotel was great! Road work across the street

Typical hotel rooms in my opinion. Nothing special for a Hilton. The $40 per day location/fee is an added expense that should not exist. Just another way to gouge guests.

Very little natural light. Tub stopper was broken. Wallpaper in bathroom was peeling. Bath grout was dirty

This property is incredibly rundown and the hidden fees will eat you alive. We checked in at 5:30 PM on Saturday and checked out at 9:30 AM on Monday. The cost to park our car for less than 20 hours was $204. We also had a facility fee of $35 each day and tax on all of these items. The advertise rate was $250 per night for our room, but it cost us almost $975 for two days! Be aware when you book this hotel that you will not get luxurious amenities and you will be charged all kinds of fees that almost double the price of the room .

Ut was terrible. When I arrived at the hotel around 3L15pm for check-in, there was strike of employees and there was a long line. After 1 hour waiting, I couldn't check-in and they only told me to wait.
If check was not available, they should have announced earlier not to wait 1 hour.
I have stayed for 3 nights and they didn't clean the room.
I had to ask employee and picked up new towels by myself.
There wasn't any compesation for this inconvenience.
