Our new favorite hotel. Great location and wonderful staff…

Fabulous! Staff and facility exceptional. Perfect location as well.

The hotel was a lot better during the week than the weekend. It was too crowded like a convention hotel on the weekend. Too much for the price. But it was decorated beautifully, the service first class, food delicious, the GOLD Roommis a must see as well as the Xmas Tree outside. Would definitely stay again -

The Lotte was a very underwhelming experience, especially relative to the cost. We paid $900/night for a room in early December.
Pros
- Location is excellent, view was great, and rooms are large for NYC
- Lobby is nice, especially at Christmas time
- A handful of small experiences for kids at Christmas (Santa in the lobby on Sundays, letter placed in Santa’s mailbox in lobby receives an envelope to your room)
Cons
- Rooms are old and surprisingly dated (felt like a room from the 90s)
- Elevators are ridiculously bad. Multiple days we waited more than 10 minutes for an elevator down to the lobby. Stairs aren’t really an option for most rooms because of the height of the hotel (e.g., we were on 26th floor).
- Rooms are not serviced every day with no explanation
- Restaurant food tasted like a Hampton Inn continental breakfast (no offense to Hampton Inn; quality of food for 10x the price is shocking though).
- No evening turn down service which is strange for a high end hotel
- Staff is largely unhelpful. Concierge was especially poor, I tried making a breakfast reservation a few days out (at their own restaurant!) and she told me to go upstairs and talk to the restaurant hostess. Restaurant server was rude, he acted annoyed when he came to take our breakfast order and I asked him for a menu first. Doormen were friendly.
- Lobby was constantly packed with non-hotel guests taking photos and wandering around
I would not stay here again.

I have to say that overall I loved our stay at the New York Palace Hotel! The hotel room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The view was amazing! We were on the 21st floor and overlooked Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and overall just nice helpful caring people! The bellhops are awesome they go above and beyond to take care of you. I highly recommend staying there.

Very beautiful place and great service

We’ve stayed here many, many times, and even got married here. However, it appears that the wear and tear are catching up to this property. When we got to our room, there was gum smashed in the carpet, knobs in the bathroom were coming off, etc. It’s just not the same as it used to be.

Need desperately a full renovation

I stayed at the Lotte Palace for my wedding weekend. It was definitely nice but felt overpriced for what it was. The space is very grand but the rooms are extremely average.

Beautiful classic property in great location. Guest rooms are VERY much need of update. Peeling wallpaper, peeling paint chips in bathroom, old dirt carpet, tilted corner dirty lamp shade. Room was so unexpected for a hotel of this class.

Convenient area and location. Would have liked a coffee area in the room. Appreciated staffing and their help. Thanks.

Quite simply the best hotel in NYC. The staff make everyone feel special and cared for. Luxury without being ostentatious. Classic styling. Beautiful bedding.

Our first night was a little rough, the bed was broken. We reported it to the front desk and they were so accommodating. Moved us to a MUCH better room with an amazing view. It’s a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. Incredible drinks and food in the Gold Room. Would definitely recommend. They lost our curling iron when we changed rooms, and weren’t ever able to locate it, otherwise it was a great experience.

Disappointed with the service once we checked in. We had high expectations, but the hotel didn’t live up to the 5 star rating.

It's a very beautiful hotel in the heart of Manhattan. We happened to stay in a week of US oppen so the hotel was full and busy. There is a great restaurant "The Gold room" for breakfast or dinner cocktails that we enjoyed a lot. The room was clen and quiet with planty to choose from the bar fridge. The day views of Cathedral are trully beautiful, as well as an amazing city light of the Rockefeller center! I didn't like the mattress, I kept waking up because it was not that comfortable...The staff is very nice and attentive.Would be back again!

Jorge at check in was amazing! So personable and professional! Mr Ray at bell desk was so awesome! I met him 2 years ago and he remembered us from our stay! We love the Gold Room! Everyone goes above and beyond

We stayed here earlier this spring and again over the summer. Great experiences both times! Hotel is clean, great location, and across the street from a Starbucks! Staff is amazing too!

This property is amazing. It is the only place we will stay when we came. The customer service and friendliness of the staff is second to none. They have the BEST bellmen, especially Thomas & Ray & George Martell. They were all fabulous and seriously go above and beyond every time we’re there. Also Jorge at the front desk/reception is awesome!! Seriously the best hotel in all of Manhattan!!!

Excellent hotel, second time we have stayed there … absolutely no complaints.

The hotel is really nice, but rooms are outdated the worst part were the beds, they were terrible, mine was almost broken and made a lot of noise every time somebody moved. Never have I been in such terrible beds where getting a good nights sleep was not possible. Talked to the staff in reception but said nothing could be done. :(

The property is very clean. Our room does not have a microwave, a coffee machine, and an ice bucket. The bathroom does not have a ventilation system.
