Nice lication and very helpful staff. Easy access to transportation

A modest hotel in a great location. It's about 3 blocks from the train station, and brief walks to the major museums and restaurants.
Room was clean, large, well-furnished, if dated.
Breakfast adequate, but mediocre compared to most Nordic hotels.

Clean, comfortable and central. Friendly and pleasant staff. Breakfast was ok.

Stayed for 2 nights. For what we needed and for the price we paid it was a perfectly lovely hotel.
Location is great, just a few mins walk from the station, and close to all the shops and restaurants you need.
Breakfast was good and was included in the price which was a plus.
The only downside was the room was quite dated and needs a refresh. Laminate flooring coming away, bangs and knocks on door frames needing a touch up. Bathroom was great, clean and bright and can’t complain at all.
Would certainly be in consideration if we come back to Helsinki.

We like this old but good hotel It is very historic building Very good location Front desk staff was very helpful but I was not happy with the restaurant staff They treat you very rude. They do their job but they should be kind to the customers we are not slave or thief. You need to eat at the restaurant if you did not finish your coffee or food you cannot carry it to the lobby they ask you pay for it We already know it because they put signs everywhere.
She was very rude to me because I got one regular and one gluten free bread She told me to pay one of them in a very rude way Please if you read this comment tell her to be polite to the customers. she could tell me in a nice way I felt very upset all day. Other than that I can recommend this hotel but be careful at the restaurant somebody is watching and bothering you when you eat😀

The corridor we were on smelt like a dead body was being kept somewhere, it was horrendous! Whilst the room was perfunctory it was very small and the step to the bathroom a trip hazard. They only provided takeaway cups for hot drinks which disintegrated after a while leaving boiling water dripping and if you were not fast enough it would gush out and scald you.

In 2 rooms I stayed (716 & 754) there was no gap between shower corner and the rest of the shower room, thus water from shower tends to wet the floor of the shower room. There should be a gap.
Toilet paper folder was not properly installed to the wall in room 754 and bent, thus toilet paper dropped on the floor at times. Swift repair is required.
I stayed twice at Arthur, between Aug5 & 11 and Aug 23 & 25. I have suggestion for breakfast. In all other 4 hotels I stayed in Finland (Turk, Tampere, Rovaniemi and Joensuu), breakfast was in buffet style and after breakfast all the guests returned dishes, cups & cutleys to a designated shelves. Hotel Artur could follew the same system.

Perfect emplacement. Great staff

Basic hotel, good staff but noisy room and disappointing breakfast.
Overall good value for city centre.

The room was very warm with no air conditioning. In the morning from 6am-6:30am they had a delivery which was very laud even with closed windows and earplugs. The room was clean, but could use repairs. The sink was very small and the shower small. Service and location is good.

Older style furniture, but functional. No aircon, a pedestal fan was in the room. Luckily the weather has cooled down. Great location, close to everything.

I stayed for five nights. They say room cleaning will be done after three nights pass. So, I thought my room would be cleaned up on that day after three nights. However, it wasn't. I had to ask reception to clean up my room on the next day.
I used sauna. Checking out, I've known I had to pay VAX. (I thought sauna use costs 8.00 Euro, but I paid 10.00 Euro.)
Totally, it was a good stay.

I have 2 separate bookings in between our journey to Tallinn. The first 2 nights is twin room, the other 2 nights are standard double with higher prices. The standard double is poor than the twin, don't pay more for the standard room. Overall is good, the location and breakfast are super. Only the down side is the bathroom which is no hooks or bar to hang any clothes. You can left the luggages for few days if you are going to Tallinn, but of course the hotel will take no responsibilities to look after the luggages.

It was a nice hotel. The breakfast was absolutely amazing!!!!! The room was super hot though and would not cool down.

The location is great and the breakfast is rich. The room I stayed in was nice, although it was cleaned every three days. But the room is not provided refrigerator. Due to the renovation of the Central Metro station, it is also very convenient to take the train from Vantaa Airport and then walk to the hotel. However, there are a steps in front of the hotel. If you have large luggage, you have to lift it up and down by yourself. Otherwise, there is a loading space on the right side of the hotel or to ask the staff to open it.

I always book rooms with aircondition (A/C)and never book breakfast . On our arrival we were informed that breakfast was included , to my surprise (which accounted for 18 EUROS per day -- we were there for 5 nights ) . When we went to our room , there was no A/C . We contacted reception , they told us that we need to pay 20 EUROS per day for A/C . went down to discuss this with the guy at reception and he was not very accomodating . I informed him that we dont ever book breakfast , but always A/C . He said for me to contact Expedia . I informed him that we were willing to forfeit the breakfast in exchange for A/C , he initially came reduced the A/C cost to 10 EUROS , but later reluctantly exchanged the A/C for breakfast . He still insisted that it was an expedia issue . I told him that we have booked all our accomodation with Expedia for several years and never had any issues with them until now. I know that we have financially lost out ( exchanging breakfast @ 36euros per day for A/C @ 20 euros per day ) . I would like to think that the hotel would reimburse us with the difference ???? Plus I would expect Expedia to insist on this ??!!

24h manned reception and very elaborate explanation during check-in. The breakfast buffet had a wide offer and food was good. We were lucky with the room and had a small separated sitting area next to the bedroom. The Hotel policy does not automatically service a room, but the service can be easily requested at the always manned reception.

This is a good value, no frills hotel. The breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice of foods. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was warm, and quiet with a fantastic bathroom and shower. The hotel is so close to the centre of Helsinki and the central station, with access to the airport

If you want a traditional, relatively spacious Finnish Experience its a good room. We opted for 3 bed twin room. The room is tall, the bathroom is old school and large. Lots of of ol school wood. If you want AC, this is not for you, alot of traditional European hotels have limited or no AC. This one doesnt, however the winters are freezing so its not necessary, and during the summer the temperature is mild, so open a window and you are good. Would definitely recommend for an affordable option and come back if I had to.

Everything is great about the property—cleanliness, staff friendliness, great location, great breakfast. The only thing is our room is outdated. The room could use a bit update.
