Low volume of customers during the days my wife and I were there, so we were giving a free upgrade to a mountain view

Very clean. Worked well for our 2 night stay over Thanksgiving while visiting family

Small but spotless bathroom. Clean and comfy main room, friendly hosts, good breakfasts, quaint art, a fun stay!

This hotel was very clean, quaint, and well kept.

Clean and tidy. Worth the price. Easy to get to the room.

This is a nice alternative to chain motels. The beds are comfortable. Nice to have a bathtub. The decor is a bit dated (very knotty pine!) but not run down. Good free breakfast is a real plus.

We were pleasantly surprised with the continental breakfast. Everything was fine. Nothing special, but enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was nicely decorated and comfortable but had two issues the night we were there. First is just a bit of inconvenience for most - no elevator to second floor rooms. Second was probably not the facilities fault, but cable service was down and internet was too slow to stream anything

Nice clean place. Rooms had good beds and were very clean. Could use some newer towels but overall a very good place. Bart was super friendly and helpful.

Bottom line first: I have been using Hotels.com for more than 10 years t, and this hotel is the first one ever that was so bad that I am filing an official appeal and complaint.
At checkin, the hotel had no WiFi and no television service. The clerk was fully aware of the existing problem but didn’t disclose it until after we had checked in (thus making our booking fully nonrefundable) and subsequently complained about that.
Compounding the problem, he outright lied to us, telling us that the problem would be resolved within the hour. In point of fact, it was not resolved by bedtime. Even the next day when the television was on again, there STILL was no WiFi.
Also worth mentioning: The online photos of our room were COMPLETELY inaccurate. Our room looked absolutely NOTHING like the pictures shown. It was a major bait-and-switch.
The temperature control in our room did not work AT ALL. The room was quite warm so our only way of cooling it down was to keep the window open all night long. But this hotel is located about 100 feet away from a loud, busy highway. Thus we had a LOT of noise ALL NIGHT LONG.
At checkout, the day clerk was in the middle of a heated argument on the phone with someone. So we didn’t even have a chance to report all of our complaints or get a receipt for our stay.
I would sleep in my car before I would give this property one more penny of my money.

Very nice room- only disappointment was there was no internet when we arrived in the evening to check email/ TV was also on internet. We did ask for lobby music to be turned down because we could hear it in room. Great breakfast:)

Really enjoyed our stay at this unique property. The owners are friendly and helpful willing to make sure your stay is perfect.. The wife is an artist and decorator and the entire property, inside and out, is so well done, such attention to detail.

Fantastic! Great decor in lobby, also in the room, wonderful breakfast!

Absolutely fantastic! Really cute Alpine decor, incredibly clean, quiet, and comfortable. Recently remodeled, very comfortable beds and pillows, full size shampoo and body wash in shower. FYI: 2-story hotel with no elevator. Not a problem for us but could be for someone less mobile. It was a wonderful stay!

Comfortable room in a comfortable motel. The main lobby/breakfast area was convenient and cozy. Hotel room was comfortable and clean. I didn't have a chance to use the amenities such as the hot tub, BBQ or outside sitting area. Continental breakfast was self serve and good.

this is a charming locally-owned hotel with beautiful art decorating every space in the property, including original murals in each room. Our room was quiet with every comfort provided. Breakfast was abundant and offered fresh, healthy options, not just continental breakfast as advertised.

the breakfast was awesome, great gourmet coffee, burritos, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal baked goods! Easy parking, big rooms, mountain view kept all street noise out.

Unbelievably clean room, everything was in perfect order and nicely appointed. There was a mini frig and microwave which we used. Bedding was very comfortable, great pillow assortment. Breakfast was worth going to.

One night before heading to Great Sand Dunes. They called to check on our late arrival and we’re ready for a quick check in when we arrived.

Property was clean, right on the highway but not noisy overnight. Small breakfast area and breakfast but overall a good value for the price.

frustrating experience overall, disturbed at night by staff demanding to see our reservation even tho he was the staff that checked us in to begin with. very annoying!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and only wish we could have stayed another few days to explore the area. The wood work in and throughout the facility is well done!
The entrance is welcoming and inviting. Parking was convenient. Although we were initially put into a second floor room, the cheerfully accommodated my request for a ground floor room because of my knee issues.
Breakfast was continental and satisfied us with coffee, bagels and cream cheese, etc.
We will come back again!

Cannot hear highway noise becau creek behind hotel drowns out the noise. Very calming.

We had a great stay despite not getting much sleep. We found the beds too soft for us. Otherwise we found the room very clean and quiet. There are a few options available for a continental breakfast. This place has a lot of charm.

Excellent family owned business; very apparent that they wanted to insure quality and personalized service.

Hosts were amazingly friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, and beds were comfy. The place truly felt like a mountain lodge. No elevator, so you might want to ask for first floor if you have bad knees.

This was a very nice hotel. It had very helpful staff and great decor. The morning breakfast was the best I have had in awhile.
