The older building needs to be torn down. It is really old and it shows. We almost left and forfeited our money. The b-fast was either cold cereal, pop tarts, or waffles. I don't know what happened from a decade ago. They used to make omelette for you. Oh, I wanted to make a cup of coffee in my room, but the tray that holds the coffee was missing. Sigh!

The pictures on the website is nothing like the actual state of hotel.. is dirty, smells really bad.. kitchen equipment entrance of building .. ceiling in room peeling.. got in my clothes .. tub stained and dirty.. I don’t think this properly should be in your website.. if it wasn’t a holiday and nothing else was limited I would have walked out .. I hop a manager reads this

Wasn't expecting much from this Choice Hotels place but this was even bad for them. No elevator. Renovation going on. Not real clean. Holes drilled in the ceiling. Front desk clerk note real friendly. Not a good experience

Rooms were no good and the lady at the desk was extremely rude
2.0 / 10.0
The first thing we noticed about checking in was that the breakfast we were expecting in next morning would not have any eggs or meat only rolls and juice. Secondly to get ice no matter where you are in the hotel you have to go to the front desk get a key for the ice from a locked room, and then go back with the key to the front desk. The room was small and dark. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work overall not a very pleasant experience.

The room was good. The lady at the check in desk was rude and very short with me.

Hotel had numerous construction and remodel projects going on which were not disclosed in booking. No restaurant and hotel was very “worn” and old. Cracked tiles. crumbling post in portico.

This hotel is under construction which was not disclosed when we were booking. There are construction materials everywhere and there were some worker on site in the morning. Definitely would not recommend this place.

Had doubts the moment I stepped in the door! It got much worse at every turn specifically:
- Entire checking room smelled of old soiled carpet/furniture
- Ice maker did not work
- The room smelled horrible! Carpet, bed, pillows, curtains. Most disgusting place I have ever booked on Expedia!!
- We were in the room less than 20 minutes when my wife payed down to rest and she smelled fecus. It seemed to come from the pillows, bed cover, sheets or bed.
The pillows on my bed smelled like rancid body odor!
We could not / would not stay at that disgusting place!
I booked a room at an exquisite hotel (Sky Ute resort/ casino). Had to drive 50 miles to get there but it was worth it!
I did not advise quality inn staff that we had left upon departure as I was so angry and disappointed that Expedia would have that disgusting as a reasonable option for its customers. This hotel is at the least substandard in quality, cleanliness, ice availability and hygiene!!
Expedia needs to visit this facility to see and smell for yourselves to validate my claims and to eliminate this hotel
from being offered to your clients! If this property is NOT removed from your hotel offerings then I will surely discontinue any future bookings through Expedia!!!

This place was so bad we left one hour after entering the room! Upon entering the lobby I could smell a heavy odor of old dirty carpet. Upon entering the room we were again overwhelmed by the smell of rancid carpet! The bed, pillows and a cloth chair all reeked of old, soiled body odor! This property SHOULD NOT be offered by EXPEDIA as it is uninhabitable, dingy and disgusting!
We were scheduled to stay there for two nights but left after one hour and had to drive 50 miles to find suitable accommodations.
I am very disappointed in Expedia having offered this property to be suitable to their customers. We ended up losing over $320 which Expedia should replace!!

Building under constuction. Room smelled of mold. Room was dirty, top of everything dirty. The toilet didnt flush well. The normal ac unit was exceptionally noisy. Don't know if i would try again even after the remodeling.
1.0 / 10.0
There is a reason this is one of the cheapest rooms in Pagosa. Renovation. Rooms are half finished, but still old. AC unit was failing off the wall and so noisy we turned it off and opened the window. It could barely keep the room cool anyway. Bathroom was a disaster with mold on the walls. Shower was on blast and tended to spray the room and floors. Exposed cabling in the hallways and rooms. Construction plastic and half finished carpet everywhere.
We stayed at a Quality Inn in Gunnison the night before that was a near perfect experience. Clean, cool, neat and quiet.
This location should not be renting these rooms until renovation is complete. And they should fire whoever is doing the renovation.........

Place is dated and a bit of an oddball feel to it, but room was comfy, service was great, great location, fit our needs no problem.

The entire hotel smells bad. The rooms smell like they used to be smoking rooms. The halls smelled like soup and trash combined. The old bar where the breakfast is served smells like urine. Its really not great. And another customers room key worked for our room, which means our room was never really locked.
4.0 / 10.0
The property was in the midst of renovations, so it's not really fair to rate some aspects. The person who checked us in was outstanding, and everyone we interacted with was friendly.

Excellent service

Property was extremely worn down. Toilets that barely flushed, limited room lighting, non working bathroom fan, lack of outlets (you had to unplug TV or cable box to make coffee). The tub was super slick with no type of safety tape for traction. Water pressure was very low no matter what time you showered and you better pray no one anywhere near your room flushed their toilet. Outside of the room the guest laundry did not work, ice machine did not work, the pool was under repair, the common area furniture and even some of the room furniture was in such poor shape, it looks like it was picked up off of the curb. For the $170 - $200 per night I was charged, they ought to have a really nice breakfast. Not here. Such a nice area for this to be so crappy. I would have been midly upset if the room was $75 per night. I expect a significant refund from Expedia.

toilet paper and was never stalked the 2 days were there. We ran out at 2:00 am. Not even a half a roll when we arrived and housekeeping never filled or left another roll.

Extremely warm down. No efforts to repair anything. It's literally falling apart

Orla at the front desk was so nice and helpful. We had the pleasure of her helping us both at check-in and check-out. Room was clean, but building was undergoing some construction that our room was in. Close to everything and walkable to the hot springs.

The property is going through some changes and you check in in one place and have to go to the building next door. Looks new but inside is really old still.

Don’t stay in in place it’s crap and falling down.

Placed was under remodeling and materials and debris was scattered all around making walking difficult. Front desk personnel worn a gun on her hip and was very rude to hotel guests, cussing at guests and even locked the front door so people could not checkout or enjoy the offered breakfast. Will never stay here again.

This is a terrible and unkempt property. Way outdated. Holes in walls. Ripped up carpet. Musty smell. Dirty. Rude staff. Air conditioner loud and not effective in cooling with wood and caulk supporting it. Lights burnt out. Smell of THC. Hazard. When showering if another room flushes a toilet, water is very hot. Don’t stay here.

This property is definitely not in safe condition. This was the only hotel available when we booked in the evening. The checkin was ridiculous too. The furniture in the lobby was all torn up and had sheets over the cushions. When I went to check in they told me to wait 15 minutes while others came in and they signed them in. They sent us “next door” to another building that they were remodeling and there was construction going on everywhere. The rooms were not in good condition at all. They had the air conditioners where you couldn’t get them to work efficiently without going to office and complaining and then they sent someone to adjust it. A lot of the things in the room were from another state and obviously very dated. We had traveled all over Colorado and I must say this hotel was the most expensive as all others were in excellent condition and we could not believe how bad this one actually was

The Fridge found hot. We let the Front Office know. $120.00 of food spoiled. Two days later still not cooling. Noisy room from pipes going off all day and all night. Primitive A/C unit, noisy and inefficient. TV had only One Channel. Go figure! Going back in Time!

Horrible place. Did not get my money back after cancelling. Nasty water pool. Horrible staff.

My kids made the comment that this place should be called the Unquality Inn. Although it is the lowest priced hotel in Pagosa Springs, you get what you pay for. The hotel is very outdated. The lobby has old couches with holes in them that they tried to cover with a sheet. The room had a stale smell and seemed to be damp the entire time. I have never been more grossed out by walking barefoot on a carpet. The ceiling had water marks in spots and what could be mold in other spots. Holes in the walls and ceiling were filled with that pink foam insulation stuff that hardens, and just left unfinished. The faucet in the bathroom was not completely attached to the sink. The bathroom did have good water pressure and the breakfast was acceptable. It was a close walk to the hotsprings in the river and across the street from The Springs Resort. Staff was nice and helpful. The pillows and beds were nice. We had to find someone to let us in the vending room each time we needed ice, as our key did not let us in. We saw a gentleman that worked at the hotel take out a garbage bag, it was pouring liquid all down the hallway to outside. This might have something to do with the strange smell of the place. They took your license plate for parking, but we saw people parking there that were not staying at the hotel, all day and night. This hotel is like the Shining and and your great grandma's old cabin had a baby, creepy and vintage, but not in a good way.

The location was good but the hotel should be bull dozed. The building was being renovated but should be closed down until it’s in better condition. The desk clerk used vulgar language while were checking in. Not at us but to us. Terrible experience.

They are presently doing a major renovation to the property. I wouldn’t recommend staying there until it is completed, or the room cost should at least be cut in half.
4.0 / 10.0
Lobby and front desk were dirty and dusty. Receptionist left a lot to be desired in terms of professionalism expected at a hotel. No elevator. Toilet barely worked. Ongoing construction but no signage to indicate so.
2.0 / 10.0
Every thing in the room are out of date or broken, hotel itself needs to repair a lot. Stuff are not friendly and there were anything there and not clean. It was very disappointed.
4.0 / 10.0
Not a good experience at all! Look elsewhere.

The smell was the worst , it’s an old ugly place, nothing from the photos in the app, the staff & service so bad & rude. This place was a nightmare for real
