I took a cheap room, it was a little noisy at times with scraping chairs above me and the vacuum cleaner going from 7.30am. Nothing some ear plugs didn’t fix. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The pool was clean and great for a relaxing swim.

Cleaning mid stay was an extra charge. Towels were thin and lacking. 1 bath towel each for a 6 night stay. Comfortable enough for the little time we actually spent in the room. Bed was comfy.

It was lovely to have a home base to return to after a day of tours and adventures. Guests should know that garage parking is limited, though I always found parking, if not in the garage, then in the street. I appreciated the onsite washing machines.

A fantastic place to stay. Check in was super simple and the room had everything I needed. It isn't the quietest place in the morning but very quiet once the sun goes down, you can't even tell there are two bars within line of sight.

We had an amazing stay! Best pool view with a bit of the ocean, the sound of the waves in the evenings were the best. Perfect setting with loads of different places to eat. Overall, nothing to complain about and we will definitely be back soon!

We stayed here 9 years ago and both the hotel and Palm Cove are as lovely as we remember them to be. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was good, aircon was good and supplemented by fans. The hotel and apartment had recently been redecorated. Whilst on site parking is limited we always got a spot. The hotel is directly opposite the beach and very near the swimming net.

I hate writing bad reviews, but this one has to be said. The biggest problem with the property, is not the dated look, or the lack of basic amenities or how it looks like it hasn't been renovated since the 80s. Its the lack of staff, since they are only available between 8am-5pm, on weekdays, some hours on weekends. I mean, its a hotel, what's wrong with them. You can check in late or check out early, thats fine. You need extra shampoo? Well, too bad, take a shower next day since the front desk is closed. Internet doesn't work? Well too bad, wait until tomorrow. Further, they only give you 2 room towels and 2 beach towels (hotel is on a beach), and they then want to charge extra for more towels. FOR TOWELS!! The overall look is extremely dated and it feels like a 2-star budget hotel. I would HIGHLY recommend people to NOT stay here, its not worth it

Please note that the shower is over the bath and the couch is low so it is not good for people with mobility issues. Accessibility is great and the staff were super helpful. Daily cleaning of the pool and surrounds was great and the spa is amazing.

Staff - cleaning team with Joel’s were excellent plus reception Silvia too. Very noisy early mornings because of rubbish trucks !!!! Main complaint is with Expedia (are you there??) - my booking form clearly stated payment was to be made AT THE HOTEL. Not so, because Expedia extracted the money from my NZ credit card 7 days prior to arrival. This is not appropriate behaviour - I gave my NZ card in case of cancellation. I was going to pay at the hotel with my oz credit card and avoid the exchange fees. I showed the booking form to the reception and they apologized but could do nothing.
