The building was unique, originally a Catholic Church. Complimentary breakfast was exceptional. Convenient location.

Very nice rooms and location, friendly staff and walkable to plenty

Pleasant place to safe. We were on the 3rd floor, no elevator! Bed was great, pillows not so much. Great A/C. House is pretty old, could use a little work. Breakfast was pretty basic.

An excellent and attractive inn in the heart of Sandwich, Massachusetts. We stayed in the building that was converted from a Catholic Church to an inn and restaurant. The food and service in the upscale restaurant were out standing. The room was well furnished and comfortable.

The Belfry Inn and Bistro was the most charming property we have ever stayed at. It was historic and quaint and close to everything we wished to visit. We celebrated our anniversary with the most delicious dinner at the Bistro, and our service was above and beyond. The room was comfortable, the bathroom VERY NICE! The only drawback was that it was a challenge to get our 2 larger pieces of luggage up the narrow winding staircase to our 3rd floor room. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Hotel was amazing. Lovely victorian. Friendly staff. Room was beautiful

If you live in a Manhattan Studio you'll be right at home in this bedroom. Two people can't walk past each other in many places needing orchestration of movement. The bathroom is no better (one at a time please) and the tile and fittings are NOT what I expect for $350 a night.

Lovely stay in "the Sara Room" of the Painted Lady. The room and b&b was clean, comfortable -- especially appreciated the AC which was worked efficiently and was noiseless! The breakfasts were delicious and a nice start to every morning. We even had an opportunity to enjoy the badminton court in the backyard one afternoon! Chris and team really did everything possible to make our stay in this post-COVID environment as safe and enjoyable as possible..

The hotel is very nice and in good conditions. However, our stay was negatively impacted by two issues. First, we booked the Jarves room, but when we arrived the host seemed quite annoyed that we booked through a third party website, and told us that something messed up with names. In the end, he gave us another room (Pope room), with fewer amenities (e.g., smaller tv) and prepared for one guest rather than two (there was only one towel, and due to covid the second was never added). Second, the comfort of the room was lower than expected for the price ($300 per night, which was also higher that hotels.com told us): the walls between rooms are very thin, and the first night we heard the noise of the bathroom vent of the neighbor until 1am. The blinds are also not effective, and sunlight came into the room very early in the morning.
The host also seems not very attentive to the guests, didn't feel very welcome there. Good breakfast in a very beautiful room.
Overall, a fair stay, definitely overpriced for the service.

This place is very quaint. The rooms are bright- nice linens and towels. Also great breakfast included with the room. Would definitely stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend it highly. Very convenient location on pretty quiet street and only 5 minutes from beach.

We stayed in the Tuesday room with the large stained glass windows. Room was very unique with vaulted ceilings, bed was comfy, bathroom was very spacious. Balcony was old looking and needed some refurbishing so we didnt spend any time out there. Cooked breakfast in the morning was good with a variety of choices. One complaint was the thin walls and hearing the loud comings and goings of other guests in the middle of the night.

The property was nice but the staff was non existent. The names of the rooms were different than the ones at the hotel. I booked the Nye room now called the Tuesday room because the room had a beautiful stained glass window over the bed. For that reason only!!!!! Upon arrival we were put in a smaller room. The Monday room had a small balcony that you couldnt see anything but sky. We are early risers and were up and out at 7:00. The breakfast that is included didnt start until after 8:00. We only encountered a staff member twice once upon arrival (because another guest called them the front desk) and the 2nd time when we passed a hostess on our way out for the evening. The a/c in the room was loud, turning on and off every 10-15 minutes all night long. Most importantly i booked the hotel for the Nye room and i was not given this room.

Loved the restaurant/bar/ex church. Room was clean and fresh feeling. Bathroom needed a bit of work (taps and shower) but overall an amazing spot.

Great location in Sandwich. Very comfortable bed. An old building with some unique features and some oddities. Shower water ran very hot and very cold without notice. Faucet broke off the tub. We had no internet at times. AC was good for the bedroom but bathroom was very hot and afternoon sun baked the room. Coffee area was left unserviced so we had to help ourselves to fresh cups. The entrance and exit through the service area of the first floor restaurant was a little odd.

It is a beautiful and unique place, very well located with a very exquisite restaurant right inside. We were upgraded to the Tuesday room which is absolutely breathtaking. Very welcoming arrival and the room was impeccable.

The most darling B&B we’ve stayed in so far. Thanks for the friendliness, cleanliness and charm!

The knobs on the tub were old and broken and there were deposit stains by the jets so we didn’t use the tub. Could used to be fixed/upgraded.

Hotel is very comfortable and quiet. It’s in a nice location - we walked to Town Neck beach along quiet lanes directly from hotel. The next day we walked to Heritage Museums & Gardens, again along quiet lanes. All round a 10/10 visit.

Perfect location in Sandwich. Inn is loaded with charm. We stayed in room 4 which was perfect for our family of four.

On arrival to Sandwich we could not find the Inn , we called the hotel and restaurant for directions and got an answering machine. (Our navigation sent us Jerves Ext. not Jerves St) . After finding the Inn we just had to find the Inn keeper which wasn't a big deal. He helped us with our bags up a very steep staircase . The way the
This Inn is set up so we didn't stay at the actual Belfry Inn, it was in the house next door, which was fine; just confusing! The room was beautiful and impeccably clean! Our only complaint was there was and ice bucket but no ice in our building ( a note card where we could find the ice would have been helpful. Thank goodness we showered before we got there , we had a wedding that evening, because there was no shower curtain just the hooks. The next morning we just left and showered at an Inn around the corner ( thankfully we had plenty of relatives staying there from the wedding). All in all I would recommend. I just expected a lot more attention to necessities.

Beautiful place in an area that is walkable. Would stay there again.

Our room was really awful for the price. Oddly shaped, bed crammed against wall. Shower did not drain and second person had to stand in previous shower water...yuk. floor tiles in bathroom missing. Just not good. If you can stay on Mani building it would be fine . Ask to see all rooms before you agree to stay in one of them. Don't take room three in Pink Lady.
