Hotel is OK, breakfast nothing special, SPA is nice, be aware that it comes with added costs. Rooms are basic but comfortable, excellent location.
2.5
This was a great hotel! Had a wonderful view of the old Town and was an easy walk there. The room was quite basic, but the staff were very accommodating, allowing us a slightly later check out and slightly earlier check in. With our room, we paid slightly more for access to the spa, which was well worth it!
1.5
Convenient city centre hotel at a reasonable price for a one-nighter. I wouldn't want to stay for too long.
Facilities are fine, but basic, as is reflected in the price.
1.5
This hotel is overrated in the description. The rooms are very simple and with no modern facilities. You can't even make yourself a cup of tea or coffee. No air condition. The breakfast is OK, but not more. The price/value ratio is OK, but you are led by the pictures and the description to expect more that you actually get.

Pros: good value for money, great location to city centre, hotel looked nice, room was a decent size, shower was powerful, fresh towels & room cleaned daily.
Cons: check-in process was slow (1 staff member on the desk for a large queue, waited 20-30 mins, online check-in seemed pointless, only to be told my room wasn’t ready yet!), the hotel bar was closed on Saturday or Sunday evening when we came back for a drink, room has no air con so was uncomfortable trying to sleep without being able to control the temperature, empty fridge in room with no bottle of water, no tea/coffee in room too. Reception staff kept telling me I booked a twin room but I can clearly see my booking says a double room! This is not a nice way to start your holiday!

Bad breakfast and bad that the spa wasn’t included for the guests. The spa fee was 15 euros per person.
The room was ok!

Breakfast was good, area is central, that's about it. Rooms were too stuffy and warm, bathroom had a weird sewer smell and pool had an unmentioned FEE per use.
5.0
Wonderful, clean hotel and perfectly located. A bit noisy both inside and outside.

We really emjoyed our stay , only positive comments, if ever visit beautiful Tallin again will choose this hotel without any second thought. Many thanks for making our stay very comfortable, smooth and memorable.
2.5
Nice hotel with great location! Mostly a calm and quiet area. I've stayed at Metropol several times and I keep coming back because it's reasonably priced. The rooms are a nice size and they have refrigerators which is lovely!

The hotel was very clean. The shower in the room was very strong and warm. The beds were comfy. The staff were helpful and we could get into our room early on check in. It's incredibly central with some wonderful restaurants around and only a 5 minute stroll to the old town and short walk to the docks for a day trip to Helsinki. The rooms could get a little warm I guess in the summer months but for the money excellent

The hotel was fine. The breakfast was ok/fine. My husband wanted to swim so he paid extra for spa access and was then told the pool wasn’t for lap swimming. He made it work. Our rooms were advertised as triples, but we were charged extra for the third person (in a triple? Huh?). BUT, hotel was well-located, we walked all over, and the staff was generally nice and helpful.

Very well maintained hotel in interesting area.

Walking distance to the ferry Terminal and Old City as well as the Rotermanni Quarter. Good breakfast buffet. High fees for use of pool and exercise facilities.
Driveway with a huge pothole in front of the front door needs to be repaired asap.

The room did not have AC, and although I knew this, I have to say it surprises me that a modern hotel of this size, with spa etc. does not invest in AC. The room was incredibly hot, and we had the window (sadly quite loud noice from parking lot behind hotel) AND the door open to get som airflow. There seemed to be floor heating in the bathroom, which also surprised me, and it could not be turned off. Staying here would be for fall and winter, but not for a humid summer..
The breakfast buffet was ok, but loud and very stressful with lots of people and queing at all times I was there. They should move the bread away from the corner, since there was constantly a crowd of queing/ toaster waiting people in the way for each other, in that corner.
Also, the pool, which is shown as a main picture on their profile, cost extra (about 15 euro)..

I was misled about the swimming pool. Woke up early and tried to go for the morning swim, then learned that the pool is only available to the spa users and opens rather late at 10AM or so. Not as convenient as usual hotels setup when the pool is part of the hotel facilities and can be used any time by the hotel guests.

The hotel's location is strategic, being only a 10-minute walk to the city center. The room was nice and spacious, and I particularly enjoyed the Jacuzzi and sauna. However, I was disappointed to find that there was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom. Additionally, the breakfast was average.

It was an okay stay and the location of the hotel was very suitable for our stay. The room was of good size, had a fridge and a comfortable bed. The lack of AC made the room rather uncomfortable though. Breakfast was fine, but it would have been nice to have more vegetarian options.
2.5
Very nice hotel with great location, very clean room, the bed is very comfortable, highly recommended
3.0
the room was really hot, even though it was 16-20 degrees outside, there was no air conditioning or temperature control, I couldn't really sleep.
3.0
Air conditioning would be nice or better windows

Non-existent service. Staff was not friendly or at all interested in doing the bare minimum of their job. You'll be lucky to get an answer at all and not just be ignored. The advertising was false at best. Old and worn down. No air-condition or fan of any kind. All "extras" like gym, pool etc are at a large extra cost and located in another hotel. Even small amenities like shampoo are extra cost.

What a Disspointment. As everyone can see, there first picture of the hotel is this pool picture. Guys pls don't misguide your self with this as it is not free and charge 15€ for each 3 hour per peroson. The only reason I booked this hotel to use the pool as I travel with children and it became to such a dissapoinement finally as i always book hotels with pools to make sure my kids can enjoy the pool.
Another funny thing happen at breakfast, where there were no sausage at all at the breakfast and when I request it, the girl said they are out of stock and it was saturday morning which is the bussiest morning in the week. But later, they filled it with sausauges means it is very rude as they completely purposely lied us and there were no curtosy to make it correct.
Another point, we kept the door with the notice to clean the room, but they only change the towels and not even swept the floor.
If you have travelled the world before, dont book this hotel because you will dissapoint to max. But if you travel first time then it will be fine.
But our rest of experince at Tallin was great and we didnt let ourselves down because of the hotel.

Hotel was a bit dated and I think it is confusing because there are two similar hotels connected with slightly different names. The room had no air and it was quite stuffy and hot. The hotel also smelled pretty bad of smoke. It was hard to get towels renewed if you didn’t ask for your room to be cleaned.

My stay at Hotel Metropol was alright.
Breakfast had a big selection, the meatballs were particularly delicious.
The hotel isn’t too far to walk to the medieval old Town, about 10 to 15 minutes walk away.
The staff took a while to clean the rooms.
I found the room was a bit hot, stuffy and the curtains were hard to close to block out the sun.
Hotel Metropol doesn't have the pool access or gym, you need to pay additional amounts to use it.
I felt like the hotel was more of a business hotel rather than a boutique tourist hotel.

good price and good beds with good hair dryer in the room!

The hotel shows shows so much promise, but under delivers in every category imaginable.
Firstly, the pool you see is not included despite the hotel listing it as an inclusion. You must pay for a pass per use... Luckily, Expedia refunded us for these charges so I would recommend fighting this issue with the hotel and Expedia. The pool itself is nothing special though.
The rooms are modern but do not have any ventilation beside the window. Noise from adjoining rooms makes it feel there are people in your room, you can even hear other guests using the bathroom next door... The shower however is really nice, again, modern rooms were good. The blinds are insufficient for the light experienced during the bright nights in summer, bring an eye mask.
Staff are unwelcoming and cold, not offering any flexibility with issues.

The staff at the hotel were extremely rude. There was absolutely no customer service, no smiles or thank yous. The room was basic, Super hot, no air. Took a shower in the evening and there was no hot or even warm water. I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

My room was great, nice, large and clean. Everything was well kept and the staff were friendly, the location is also excellent, easily walkable from the port and beside the old town … would definitely recommend.

Very nice hotel. Friendly and helpful staff at desk. Two blocks walk to the old/walled city. We splurged and got a room with a private sauna in it which was wonderful after a long day exploring Tallin.
1.5
Mixed - no kettle / coffee machine in the room which was my own fault for not checking i guess. told breakfast was 7am-was actually 7.30. staff came into my room while i was there without knocking. had a spa treatment in sister spa hotel next door - massage and facial combo - announced after massing back of me only that i had to get dressed to change rooms for the facial. never known such a thing then soon as finished she whipped the cover off me and said finished. not what i'm used to
