Nice location, close to Acropolis museum, Acropolis, Zeus temple and national park.
Restaurants and shops are all located in walking distance, and breakfast was nice and clean.
View in the roof garden restaurant is also very nice.

Friendly staff, great location, and the food in the rooftop restaurant was delicious. Only downside was the room was small. I would stay again.

I stayed here in July with my family. The location is wonderful! We had 2 rooms and they kindly gave us rooms with an adjoining door. Rooms were nice and clean but looked like they had seen better days. Beds were hard. The a/c in my room was great but did not work well in the other room. When we told them they came up to see but I felt gaslit as they did not acknowledge it was not working well. We asked for and received a fan that was very helpful but very dusty.

Perfect location and very good hotel

Near the Acropolis entrance and shopping area. Good food options nearby. No public sitting area for friends traveling together is the biggest issue.

Nice hotel… everything is small so room felt cramped. Perfect location walking to restaurants, shops and the acropolis. Rooftop bar awesome view!!

Very convenient and easy to walk to all the places. Good restaurants in the area too.

When we checked I we were greeted in English and very friendly. Our king room
Overlooking the Acropolis was fantastic and better to sit and watch it from our balcony when it was lit up. They have a great breakfast every morning that is as good if not better than most. It was right in the downtown shopping area of Athen.

It's a quick easy stroll to the Metro/Acropolis station and there are many good restaurants within a few blocks. The view from the rooms isn't great, but we didn't care. Breakfast was fine and they had a few gluten free options if you ask. The only glitch was the limited number of electrical outlets in the room. We might stay there again, just bringing other ways to charge our phones.

Location was amazing. First time to Athens and this was in the middle of everything a first timer wants to see. Felt very safe. Lots of shopping and restaurants and the tour buses were 2 blocks away. So were the Parthenon and acropolis! Walking distance to the must sees and easy transportation to everything else. Almost forgot their rooftop bar restaurant. It books fast but we were lucky enough to get food to go one evening and it was amazing.

Nice room and bathroom, very centrally located, lots of great dining. You may need to ask for assistance in using the air conditioning but it work very well.

Terrible bed, small room

Surly desk staff got us off to a bad start. Upgraded room with ‘view’ of Acropolis was definitely not worth the cost. Loud bar next door kept us up late on a Thursday night.
The breakfast was good and the Peacock Room food and staff was outstanding.

We stayed at Hotel Hera for one night in Athens. We found the rooms to be quite small and our shower handle was also broken. The main benefit was that it is close to the Acropolis which was convenient for a short stay.

Good breakfast. Great staff. Hotel in need of a little refresh, but it’s an old building. Small rooms, but again, it’s an old building.

The service from the hotel staff was excellent. The rooftop dinning room had a nice view of the acropolis and the food was very good . The buffet breakfast served on the lower level although not included in our package , was quite varied with both hot & cold entrees and we felt worth the $15/person charge. The area was not as close to the Plaka area where we had stayed previously which was walking distance to acropolis, subway, outdoor cafe’s and shopping.

The front desk staff were all so pleasant and helpful. The hotel was convenient to everything. Easy to walk to anything of importance and nothing short of good eating places. The hotel was very clean!

As Canadians travelling to Greece for the second time, we were aware that drainage issues are common. However, the Hera hotel seems to be impacted a little more than other places we have stayed, at least on one end of the hotel. Management would do well to instruct guests to avoid having a bath, as it leads to significant flooding. It clearly wasn't the first time as the floor had noticeable water damage outside of the bathroom and into the hall carpet. After our room flooded (bathroom and bedroom) we asked and were given a new room (on another floor), and noticed the same water stains on the carpet at the same end of the hall. If you have short hair and only take showers then you shouldn't have an issue, but with longer hair, there was soap and water bubbling out of the drain on the bathroom floor every time I showered. Other than that it was a lovely hotel; nicely decorated rooms, polite staff, and good location.
