Old building very dirty carpets in the hallway

In need of refurbishment, but certainly okay to stay there.
Large, clean room, with balcony opening to a beautiful river view.
Great value for money.

Smells like an old 1970 hotel
10.0
It was a quiet and peaceful place to rest

This was by far the worse hotel ive stayed at. My entire floor wreaked of cigarettes. They gave my room key out to somebody else. Luckily i left nothing in my room as i was treveling light this time. Would never recommend staying here. I ended up leaving and sleeping in my car instead.
4.0
Property was very dated, my family had just crawled into bed for the night and we heard a noise look over the bed to see someone’s cell phone on the floor ringing. Makes me wonder just how well the room was cleaned

Nice continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Neat and clean bathroom.
Did not serve our room. Dirty carpet in room.

It was perfect for one night preceding a trip in the area
8.0
Conveniently located right on the Rideau and walking distance to restaurants and other amenities.
Rooms were clean but Halls could use some updates. All in all was a perfect fit for our needs.

The property is very dated and needing some servicing but the room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was excellent and very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again.

The outside grounds n area were picturesque n lovely overlooking the canal. The channel with the boats able to go to the lake was very peaceful n quiet.

Inside was great but outside windows had a lot of pigeon poop on them. Our room had a balcony so no poop on our windows. Hotel was extremely clean. Very well looked after.
6.0
The staff was friendly. The property needs some TLC. We did our own garbage and towels. Saw house keeping once in the hall in three days. The price is right for what is offered.

We did not stay the night. It was dingy and dirty. We were afraid for our car rental.
8.0
Carpeting in the lobby and hallways very worn and stained. Hotel in need of updating.
5.0
The location was great for our needs during our stay. The view from our room of the river and boats was gorgeous. The back of the lodge view was unpleasant.(where parking was) The lodge itself was a tad run down and could use new carpets and a paint job . The elevator was extremely tiny, but did the job for getting up and down to our floors. There is a restaurant pub attached to the lodge which looks good but we didn't go inside.
Breakfast needs to be improved, as it was only toast, bagels, cereal and yogurt. It had coffee and juice all day which was convenient. We had a couple hiccups upon check in but the manager was fast and efficient on resolving the issues and she was very pleasant and friendly.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and liked the lodge.

The property doesn’t feel safe. Seems like they just made hotel in an old property. Staff is friendly and well informed.

The check in was easy, the facility is ok (so-so), the cleanliness is not that great, the building is old, need renovation. The breakfast is minimal. The location is good, the view from the balcony is good. Parking is okay.

Property is in dire need of renovation. Everywhere they have carpet, which stinks badly. There are no exhaust fan in the bathroom, the balcony was covered in bird poop and the room had stinky mold/mildew smell. I would never stay there again
6.0
Decrepit and understaffed, unless they have very few visitors.

Dirty. Didn’t even make up room. After 1st night. Felt itchy after stay there. Would never stay there ever again. Completely awful. In fact I would give it a 💩 rating.

It was filthy and over priced. never again!

Situated on the Rideau canal. Lovely view from my balcony. Big hotel. Fridge and microwave so great value.

The hotel is in deep disrepair, with peeling wallpaper and paint, filthy carpet with cigarette burns and a terrible smell. Just because we need a pet-friendly room, doesn't mean we need to put up with this... and it wasn't even inexpensive!

It was not clean, the smell was terrible, we could see how dirty it was from 5 feet away. The area around felt off, with a bar right next to the hotel, a laundry in front and bird ppoping on the balcony. We didnt even stay the noght since my mom's allergies and mines got bad from the dust in the room. The staff was very nice and understood the situation, so no problem with them.

Staff were very friendly & helpful.
Hotel was clean but you can tell it's somewhat old and needs some cosmetic refreshing.
Beds were a bit hard but I like soft anyhow but yet still good condition.
Our rooms each had a small patio looking out at the canal. Could use a small table and 2 chairs to have first cup of coffee in the morning.

Very close to downtown. Quiet place.

It ok for a stay in a pinch. Rooms were the least expensive but you get what you pay for (at least here you do. It's a bare bones room with a fridge microwave and a coffee maker but you will want to bring your own filters as the packets they provide are for single serve machines and the machine is multi cup Brewer. The balconies on the canal side overlook a room that has been neglected for quite sometime with an awning that pays limited tribute to a better time. So all things being equal I have to give this place a FAIR rating

For the cost, i guess good value. Hallway walls and carpets need a cleaning. Room was good, a little bit of a damp smell. Balcony have lots of pigeon poop, and beer bottle ashtray left from previous guest.
The continental breakfast was good.
