. I like the nostalgia of the property and the look of it from the outside isn’t bad. The people that work there were very helpful and polite, and did the best they could.
The facilities look very utilitarian and old. It’s styled like it was built in 1972 then never renovated. The pictures on the website are even closed to what the place is really like. I saw a bug crawling on the hallway floor.

The room was awesome, really big with an awesome view on the canal. The bed was also really comfortable !
NO WARM WATER ! So not possible to take a shower. Not possible to get a pay back or to get any help on this matter ! Also, the balcony was really disgusting ...

Location was great. View was beautiful. .
Pillows are to small. Had issues with my card but hobbies worked. Saw an image of writhing on the mirror that was not nice. Needs a little updating carpets in complementary breakfast area bad shape.

The view and the bed was comfortable
The tv was small and no remote. The windows you could hardly see out. The breakfast was pretty lame. Did not like the spare pillows.

Convenience to event in hotel
Room was freezing when we arrived... 14c we cranked the heat & 3 hours later it was not too bad (maybe when a room is reserved, they could go turn the heat up?)
We had no hot water in shower & only warm/hot water in sink. They changed our room the next day after several calls to front desk & a trip to thr desk. Second room may have had a pet visitor as the bed had hair or furr on it... we removed the top bedspreads when we saw that. Did not expect a 5star hotel... but clean top bedding would be nice.the rest of the bedding was inspected & was fresh.
Pigeon poop on balcony & pigeons cooing thru day. Thankfully too cold to use balcony...
The rate you gave me was higher than the hotel rate... that was a BIG disappointment!!!

good
It would have been nice if you didn't have to summon someone to the front desk. It would mean anyone could just walk in off the street.

The breakfast was good. I would recommend also offering something like boiled eggs if possible.
The location and scenery around the building was absolutely beautiful. But the site is also in need of major upgrades and renovations. The ceiling of our room was patched with crumbling plaster and the bathtub and fixtures had visible scratches on them. It also would have been much appreciated if there had been streaming services such as Netflix available.

The property is old and dilapidated. Paint peeling off. Furniture from the 70s.
