It was the perfect place to stay after our work event and I would stay here again in the future.

Booked the Columbia Inn at Peralynna Manor so that we could attend dog shows at the Howard County Fairgrounds, which is about 15 miles away. We did NOT have any show dogs with us (the Inn has a very strict no pets policy), but this was a convenient place for us to stay.
Our room was clean and comfortable. The Keurig coffee maker was a nice touch, and the microwave and refrigerator were greatly appreciated.
There was one minor problem that should be addressed. The shower head in the bathroom needs to be replaced ASAP, and perhaps the shower on-off valve as well. The water flow was terrible (only came out of the center of the shower head), and replacing the head might be all that's needed.
On Saturday morning, the fire alarm went off and all guests evacuated the rooms. It took an inordinate amount of time for the fire department to arrive. Fortunately, it was a false alarm. Had this been a real fire, I suspect that the building would be a shambles today.
There was nothing in our room to inform us where we should exit and where we should go when leaving the building. I have never been in a hotel where this information was not posted on the back of each room's door, and they need to address this immediately.

This property needs some serious refurbishment. The furniture was old and worn. The box springs had a plastic cover which is never a good sign. The carpet was badly stained. There were a lot of plastic railings around the terraces that were broken and falling apart. The terraces were communal and not private in the least. The breakfast was a Togo bag with high sugar muffins, juice, cereal bars. We left early.

It's an old house operating as an inn. Less privacy than a traditional hotel. It's walking distance from a wine bar. Carpet has multiple stains, but didn't feel unclean. Shower was small but still okay. Plenty of counter space in bathroom. Closet is very large but shelves may not hang a backpack well. There is a shared balcony off some of the rooms. The balcony door had a small air gap. Bed seemed fine. Room had a split vent and a space heater, but was a little difficult to get the temperature right with the vaulted ceilings.

Beautiful place. Out in the country, not mich around. Very quiet

Great inn to stay at while in Columbia. Very comfortable room that was lovely. The inn is large and would be a great place for a large group to all stay together for an event.
4.3
It was nice but they charged me extra money for early check in which was extremely annoying. Especially since we were only an hour early

I felt a sense of gentility and repose. Living in Florida, I enjoyed the hardwood trees and shrubbery of the grounds. When I spotted a deer nibbling the front gardens, it was balm to my soul.
4.3
The property is clean but weary. For example, the patio outside our room: chairs are broken, table is dirty (weather) floor is chipped. In addition: TV didn’t work and no one was able to fix it.
4.3
The property is beautiful. We booked thru Expedia and opted for the least expensive room. Don’t do that. It was in basement - dark, needed some TLC and the room was cold with no way to adjust the temperature.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful 💙

Just wonderful in every way!

Shower odor was overwhelming. I refused to shower. Lighting could be improved. Central A/C with no temperature control in room ensured that we were either hot or cold all the time. Difficult to find.

The Columbia Inn is a quaint hotel with tons of character and charm! Cheryl at the front desk was delightful and full of knowledge about the hotel. Our room was large with balconies on either side, a huge bathroom and walk-in closet. Very comfortable bed. Highly recommend!!!
4.3
The room was lovely and well appointed. The location was great; easy to get to and central to everyone and everywhere I had planned to be. All and all a terrific and restful stay. Whenever I plan to be in the area, I'll be sure to try to book in there again.

Upon checking in, the hotel manager informed us that she would be only be at the hotel until 10pm. We quickly put our bags down and went out to our event. We came back to the room and went to bed. As I was turning back the covers on my bed, I noticed that the mattress was wrapped in plastic. I thought this was odd but went to bed, only to be awoke by my damp pillow which I realized that although it had a clean pillow case on it, was covering a pee drench pillow. Then I realized that both pillows were soaked with pee as well as the mattress that was "cleverly" wrapped in plastic. How anyone could intentionally do this to someone is beyond disgusting.

The room from distance was beautiful. Upon closer look you could tell the room needs some TLC. Was not enough hot water to fill the jacuzzi. We took a cold to barely warm soak in the jacuzzi tub. Room states it has 2 balconies. 1 was blocked off and the other was available but when walking on it, some places felt very weak like if you stepped in certain areas you may fall through. Bed was extremely squeaky, mattress was comfortable, but every move you make was like a high pitch blast to your head. Paint was peeling and looked to be covering up black mold. Only saw 2 staff members, they were friendly. Biggest complaint was no hot water and false advertising of the availability of balconies and their condition. 2 spiders coming out if the tub when you turning the water on and unsafe balconies. We could also hear everything from the room next door so didnt feel very private. Walking down / up the steps to the balconies felt very unsafe..

The Columbia Inn at Perlyana was a really great place to stay! I was in town because my father was in the hospital and I needed someplace really close by and this establishment was less than 10 minutes away from Howard county General hospital. It was very conveniently located for food and shopping if needed and the staff was very pleasant, the rooms were very clean, the beds were super comfortable and also clean. It was a great place to get the downtime I needed while dealing with family trauma you know with my father being in the hospital anyway it was a really good place and I will definitely be back again.

The property on the inside was amazing however I was worried about the wiring of the flood lights and water and electricity does not mix.

Stay was great communication was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. A diamond in the rough :-)
4.3
The property was in a convent location, but run down, having construction, and in general rough shape.
4.3
Very comfortable beds! Beautiful property. The bathroom is our room was odd, though. The shower area was remodeled and seemed to be patched together. The exhaust fan was excessively load and the water pressure was a low.
4.3
The history behind this property was quite fascinating. I liked the layout and room sizes especially the walk in closet.
4.3
I thought the hotel was completely charming. Lovely spacious room that was not cookie cutter at all. I didn't want to leave!
4.3
This property is beautiful and quiet. Its located in a neighborhood across from a kids farm. My partner and I felt like we had the place to ourselves. Everything was clean. The room themed perfectly. We went in December so it was cold in the room and took some time to warm up. That is not a complaint because I could have gone to the desk to report it but I bring an electric blanket with me everywhere I go and my partner runs hot so we were fine. I definitely recommend this quiet home away from home.

The pictures and explanation on the internet painted this place to be much more than it actually is. Read the other comments from those who stayed here; my assessment will be pretty close. I think the night's stay was worth about $75 at the most.
4.3
I will definitely book my stay here again next time im visiting maryland. I stayed in the t suite and it was comfortable. The beds were clean the towels were clean as well. Overall i love my stay here. The only thing i would request of u guys is bigger tv and a full lenght body mirror.
4.3
Room was rundown, microwave kept flipping powerstrip, window had broken blind so people could see in, and shower handle would turn continuously so water went off then on. Bed was very comfortable and soft sheets and towels. Enjoyed the kerig in the room
4.3
Property was beautiful and well kept. The inside was clean, bathroom very dated but clean. Overall great stay, it was very warm with no fan but would highly recommend.
4.3
Stay was amazing, nice clean room and building as a whole. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Nice quite getaway for some me time.
4.3
This was a clean and cozy place to stay at. In fact, this place gave me the best sleep in months!
The staff was very friendly and communicative; which was a plus when we accidentally left an item and they quickly called us to let us know.
We wish we could have stayed longer!
4.3
Front desk staff was very nice and extremely nice. Room was great. Definitely would stay again if visiting the area.
4.3
Having stayed here twice before, we expected more than we got. The hotel has gotten a bit run down and they no longer serve their delicious made-to-order breakfast. Thin walls in the basement - we were kept up until 1:00 am due to noise from the room next door.
