I've never been to a more friendly and welcoming hotel. The staff was extremely helpful when there was a room mix up. They were exceptionally kind and accommodating. The hotel needs some updates, chairs were worn, furniture was in need of repair and the water took some time to get hot but i cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful staff.

There were dirty towels in the bathroom when we went into the room. It smelled musty and dirty. Staff and Management were unfriendly and did nothing to help. Our Air/heat didn’t work and we froze both nights. Maintenance couldn’t fix it. We were supposed to be there for 7 days and checked out and moved to a different hotel. NOT A MARRIOTT EXPERIENCE!

Excellent location and convenient Mayo Clinic visits, with tunnel access. Garage convenient but tight parking and very expensive. Others nearby are free. The desk staff are friendly and helpful, but considering the hotel prices the entryway and lobby are quite dismal and no fun to come home to. I tried leave the cleaning staff alone and was happy to reuse towels etc, but when we were scheduled for a refresh of the room, and really needed it (towels, garbage, recycling, etc.) and I told the floor manager of the five hour slot we would be gone for appointments, they still didn't get around to it. We went all week without any refresh or update to the room, I had to take my own garbage out. This is not good, given the price of the room. The breakfast was fine.

Our room was next to the elevators, so we had to listen to them rumble at all hours. The furniture was worn and shabby, and we could find no USB ports to charge our devices until the last day when we found some hiding in the alarm clock. The bed was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was in general mediocre, although the egg dishes were both excellent.

We've stayed here numerous times over the last 3 years. I was glad to see that renovations are going to take place, as the rooms are starting to show wear/tear. The sofa was horribly uncomfortable, but the bed was decent. The convenience to the Mayo Clinic is unbeatable, so we will continue to stay here on future trips.

No fane in the bathroom, the shower head too high. I do not like to get my hair wet, so I wash myself off holding the shower head, not possible.
The night crew at the front desk was less than friendly

Generally good. A little worn. Go to the second hand and buy some new bar stools.
I'll never understand why motel room heaters are always noisy, next to the bed and blow in your face.

The facility is getting aged and room had an odor to it. Informed front desk of odor and they said it would be addressed, but they also noted that a facility update is planned for the near future.
The kitchen was a nice amenity for our stay. Breakfast was great and staff was super friendly and helpful. The subway connection to the Mayo Clinic is awesome and convenient.

Our recent stay at the Residence Inn was amazing. Andrew from the front desk went over and above providing fantastic customer service!

Small holes in bed linens, streaks of blood(?) on curtains.
Staff, as always, kind professional people!

My window was broken, but they taped it to stop the draft. The furnace sounded like popcorn or electric going shocking something inside the furnace room. Sofa couch felt 20 years old.

We've stayed here a few times, as it is so convenient in the winter months, for Mayo appt's. We find the front desk people lacking in training, but it's a sign of the times. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. Also, it is nice a quiet. We will stay here again, but wish the staff could at least say thank you at check-out or ask if everything was okay.

I asked for a quiet room away from the elevator. I was put in a room closest to the elevator, and then my room was above a very noisy hotel generator that ran all night. Sheets were very starched and itchy.

Not as meat or as clean as other properties.

This hotel is in a very good location to walk a couple blocks to Mayo/Gonda/ Charelton buildings for appointments. Also for patients of Methodist hospital.
The staff is friendly and very helpful. Welcoming attitude. The only negative is that the construction of the building leaves drafts from the windows and very cold floors. The beds are on the firm side and the linens are good. The kitchenettes are well supplied but just very used and a little tired. You can't beat the location though if you have medical appointments.

The only thing that this hotel has going for it is the fact that the other hotels around it are just as badly maintained, and the closeness to the Mayo Clinic.
This place needs needs fixing up.

Place was clean. Staff were friendly & attentive, providing extra condiments, hangers, etc. right away when we asked for them. Not to mention perfect location, 3-min walk to Mayo Clinic. But property seemed old, and seemingly kept on a tight budget. (Very basic coffee maker, with no auto-off. Easy to leave on all night/all day.) Free breakfast was minimal -pre-packaged granola bars, cereal; but that could be COVID-related.

Parking was too far away and I was quoted $11 a day and was charged $20 per day.Otherwise not bad the room was musty.

We stayed two nights in a one-bedroom suite (room 313). We found it clean and well-appointed and relied heavily on the kitchen for meals. The proximity by subway to Mayo Clinic building was a true selling point as others mention. On the last day, we learned that we would need to stay another day. We'd already checked out of our room, but Residence Inn staff responded quickly, cleaning our room and having it ready for our return two hours later. They were spectacular. We don't want to return to Mayo but will definitely stay here if we do. We used paid, indoor parking and were allowed to remain parked there well after check-out time. We also made use of the complimentary breakfast and lobby freezer, purchasing Haagen Das ice cream, bottled water, and other munchies. Caribou Coffee is a block away.

Lodging in downtown Rochester is often for medical care. This setting is connected to the subway level of the Mayo Clinic downtown campus. The suite with a kitchen met our need for flexible, in-room meals and snacks. Staff were accommodating regarding wifi connection challenges and custom housekeeping services. Met our needs and I booked again for the next trip.

I liked that the property was connected via subway to Mayo's various buildings. For $180/night, I think the bed could have been better (newer). There was some mold in the bathroom underneath the soap holder.

They have a subway level that leads straight into the mayo clinic subway walk system. The pad parking was not well marked and highly inconvienient. Room was very clean.
