A fun place to stay in the middle of this historic village. Enjoyably funky and fun with lots of friendly people.

Staying here was a wonderful experience. Surely will book again whenever I decide to visit Yosemite.

Great location- about 30 minutes from Yosemite-
Staff was very good at questions about the park.
Room was very spacious and clean. Bed was super comfortable.
Our only criticism is that I wish you would put an ice machine in. We just need a little bit of ice for a cooler and did not want to buy a big bag at the convenience store. Do appreciate the fact you have a refrigerator for all guests to use but stuff does not say cool all day long without ice. Thanks again!

Check in was exceptional. Our room was beautiful. We felt at home yet also as if we were in a different place and time.

This in our view was a guest house. Reception open only minimal hours. Creaky floors. Small rooms. Shower ‘pod’ in bathroom. Noisy AC. Absolutely not what we expected for the price.
Restaurant was closed, no breakfast…. Just poor after reading so many glowing reports

Nice, quaint hotel in good proximity to West entrance to Yosemite. The staff were friendly and helpful. Groveland is an interesting small town. Would definitely stay here again.

A must stay if you are visiting Yosemite. Property manager was extremely helpful in guiding us to our visit at Yosemite National Park. The property itself is like no other-- feel like you are going back in time. Rooms are large and clean. Location is the best around.

Great historic hotel, super clean. Staff was terrific for all three days of our stay: Finn; Alex; Shana; GiGi; Angie; etc. Their restaurant is great with a reasonably priced chef-driven menu including specials! Groveland is a cute town with owner operated business including the best ice cream in the Western U.S. at Grove Mercantile! Love our visit and will gladly go back.

What a beautiful and inviting hotel! Comfortable atmosphere, town and the beds were SO comfortable! Finn and his wife could not have been nicer.
Great bar & restaurant. Lovely town and not far from Yosemite NP entrance. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in Room #14 at the back end of the hotel (2nd floor). It was an excellent room with a king bed, very spacious, private and quiet. I would definitely stay here again!

My daughter and I spent the night here after backpacking in Yosemite for three nights. The owners were super friendly and the hotel is charming. It is located on the main street of Groveland so easy walk to everywhere in town. It seems. Also if you have a Tesla, it’s super conveniently located to the chargers. The water in our shower turned very hot to very cold unpredictably and that was really the only unpleasant part of our stay.

No elevator but lots of stairs. Due to disability we could not climb stairs but they would not refund us.
We left in severe pain!

Great place. The tavern was awesome too. Only drawback I had was the shower. Our’s was a claw tub. The edge was a little higher for my wife and I and could pose a problem getting in and out of. Just saying but I loved it.

Really cool hotel. Great evening in the beer garden listening to jazz and enjoying good food and drinks. Hotel has fascinating history and our room was lovely while also reflecting that.

You just need to take dinner before a few restaurants nearby closes at 9pm -

Boutique hotel. Cute and confortable hotel in little Groveland. Beds and linens were comfy. No frig in rooms but a shared one in common space. The staff are very welcoming and helpful with information and things like ice. There is a restaurant that operates some nights and small bites other nights.
There are not many restautants in town otherwise and you may have to drive a short distance.
Great coffee, cream, donuts, muffins in the morning.
Good value!

The property was quaint. The room was comfortable. The bathtub could have done with some non-slip coating, but otherwise the bathroom was fine. The highlight was the hospitality. Check-in was the friendliest I'd ever experienced. The young lady went out of her way to tell us about places to eat and drink in the town, and to describe every amenity available, including 24-hour coffee and tea and muffins. A very nice place to stay for hiking in Yosemite.

The property was 103 years old but well presented, everything was of high quality bedding sheets were beautiful and soft, towels were thick and soft. Furnishings were vintage and it was so so beautiful. Staff are very welcoming and ensure you are well informed and looked after...highly recommend staying at Hotel Charlotte

Finn, the manager, was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is really cute with a nice restaurant onsite. We stayed in the main floor. You could hear the music and noise from the restaurant until about 8:30ish. It didn’t bother us but some people might not like that. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Owner & staff were very welcoming. Room was clean. I loved how owner modified our older hotel room to include an en suite bathroom During an after-dinner walk we noticed the hotel’s tavern & bar were very busy, other other restaurants & bars in town were empty. Good bar & dinner at balcony table. Morning coffee & muffins were a nice touch. Our one-night visit will be repeated next year on our way to Yosemite National Park.

We really liked Hotel Charlotte. We checked in late at night with no problem and had a very restful, pleasant night. The room was really cute and the beds were comfortable. We had coffee and muffins across the street and then set off for Yosemite. (Breakfast was available at the hotel, but the early bird gets the worm or muffin in this case.)We would stay here again and for longer!

The hotel and owners are fantastic in small town with proximity to Yosemite. I didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant but I was told by another restaurant owner that it is good. We stayed one night and left in the morning. We were surprised with coffee and muffins offered as part of our stay. The hotel is historic and it is an experience
