We stayed a week while visiting friends nearby. Good location, room was comfortable but the bed was disappointing (decidedly uncomfortable).

We arrived around 7pm. No front of house to be seen, had to call on-site manager to check in.
The room had everything we needed for our stay. We had booked a pool view room and couldn't complain with the view.
The hotel advertises a bar but it wasn't open until Friday afternoon and even then it was shut by 6pm.
Come Friday afternoon the pool was full of families and their children.
The local restaurants were a very very short walk from the hotel.

Really impressed with the size of the apartment

Bar for cocktails and coffee should have been open during the week even for a limited time. No towels for the pool area

Overall the room was clean and bright and the facilities, dining experiences were excellent. The only thing that marred the stay was the reception staff sticking strictly to the check in time. Unable to get a better flight time we arrived into the GC around 09:00. It was a long wait to get up to our room so we could crash for a couple of hours of much needed to sleep.

Everything about Mantra on Salt was exactly what we expected.

Check-in was first class. Raj was very helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay but there was an obvious staff shortage- no bar or pool service, no housekeeping during a three day stay.

The access to the beach was excellent, the walking tracks were well maintained.
There was good access to shopping and eating options

I reported that the unit had hair around the bath and there was a hair in the fridge. The person on the front desk did offer a different room but I did advise I didn’t want to move, it was too late for me to move all of the cases ect.
He took photos on his camera. Was advised that the cleaners would come in tomorrow and do another clean. After we got back in the afternoon, I took some tissue paper to test the cleanliness and wiped under the sink in the bathroom, there was dust and hair on the tissue.
We were offered $50 on the first night towards some food at the restaurant Season, I looked at the sample menu online thinking I would like the food only to check at breakfast to see the menu was nothing like was online, I realise this online menu was only a sample. Decided then to go to the Cove Bar in the Pepper’s reception area so asked the breakfast staff what time did it close. Advised 5pm. This is also online, I did not see food closes at 4pm. So arrived at 4.30pm asking for food to be told it closed at 4pm. Went back across the road to Salt and enquired if there was any room service. No room service. Asked if the cocktail bar was opened, this was Thursday night, no not opened till Friday night. Went back across to Pepper’s bar and had a couple of drinks there but was told the function was about to start but we could have a table to the side. I have travelled extensively locally and internationally many times. First time at this hotel, very disappointed.

Our room and the resort in general was a little tired. The coffee shop was closed (only open Thursday to Sunday) as we were there on a Monday Tuesday as were most of the good restaurants in the area. Carpark was inconvenient and a long way from the rooms, with luggage. We did ask on the first day for a coffee cup as one was missing, this did not arrive. Air conditioner did not work, but we weren't there long enough to report or need it.

Very impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms and the hospitality of the whole staff. Definitely a good choice to stay.

We stayed in a sigle room studio that was very well appointed

Close to the beach. Our booking was mucked up though. Id asked for 2 beds and we got a king. The receptionist had to rush around and make up beds for us. She told us the housekeepers would come in and do them properly for us but that never happened.

Quiet place, everything seems "sterile" in foyer. Rooms were pretty small. Some.of the hall ways seem dated with patches holes in the walls. It was nice place to stay a night or two, but given the room sizes no more than that otherwise it becomes claustrophobic

It was a quaint little room and I’m sure we would have enjoyed it twice as much if the weather wasn’t so lousy so we will certainly return in the warmer months it was a beautiful resort with fabulous facilities just a shame about the weather but I’d highly recommend it still

Fabulous big room with a balcony, pool area is gorgeous, the beach is very close and we saw whales.

Air con sounded like a washing machine on spin cycle and kept us awake all night. Room was a hotel room and not serviced daily. Fridge froze everything in it. Customer service was extremely poor and they didn’t seem concerned about anything

TV didn’t work on free to air channels. Shutters to balcony windows were broken

The was located on the beach which was great, food was good although little expensive

This is an open plan style property with long open corridors where it’s quite easy get lost.
We were fine however heard others complaining about it.
We had a nice large room with a spa where enjoyed a nice bottle of wine. However the real only unusual 2 things are there’s no room service at this hotel, and, the breakfast is across the road in another building which was a very nice breakfast but unusual. We are enjoying the resort pool area now..

Everything was walking distance. Great dining places nearby. You can stay and enjoy the property and beach or you can travel to explore more.

Paid for 3 people and went to room found the sofa bed not made up. Had to call house keeping and all they have is were 2 sheets and one extra towel. No pillows or blanket and it was a really cold night ! Had to give the kids my blanket from my bed so I went with just a sheet which is not ok as I paid quite a bit extra for 3 in the room but no extra services !

We hadn't intended, but stayed for 2 1/2 months. Perfect location - Salt Beach is probably one of the nicest in Australia, entirely natural fringed by mini-forest. Hotel is very well-run and staff are great. Difficult to fault anything - but the wi-fi in some parts of the complex could be a bit weak. Overall, we were very happy there!

Nice little get away

Mixed review terrible to excellent - initially put into the ground floor wing near the tennis court which was obvious at some point had water damage because the entire wing strongly smelt of mould. By midnight I was wheezing with an allergic reaction, called reception and within 15 minutes was upgraded to a suite & free breakfast for the duration of my stay (estimated $500 in value). Once moved the room was excellent & on par with what I had paid. So I must praise the staff for a quick & great value resolution BUT it’s not ideal to be putting guests in mouldy rooms for health reasons which could have resulted in an ambulance visit and legal ramifications. Nowhere else in the very large resort smelt of mould I might add, only the ground floor right wing.
