The pool area is quite lovely. The Resort itself is nice enough although is starting to get a bit tired. We stayed on a Wednesday night and the Restaurant wasn't opened. The "cocktail bar" is OK, but nothing to rave about. There are a few very nice restaurants in very close walking distance.
Buffet breakfast was quite nice.

Resort was great! Your walking distance to the beach, stunning pool to relax and have a swim, and the Spa is great for proper relaxation for both woman and men!

Had a pleasant and beautiful stay. Definitely going back for abit longer.

The property was fine.
Wotif ripped us off charging $359 for a room the hotel charged $240. The room was worth $100 at best. Small, poorly maintained, dirty, 2 single beds pushed together. We give the above ratings for our upgraded room, for which we thank the hotel staff.
Never booking with Wotif again.

Loved the hot tub and overall an awesome place to stay atđ

Staff really help with customer service. They need to listen to customers before they make decisions. We had a few times we walked past reception without even a hello. The rooms are nice but old, we had to upgrade because the original booking was tiny. Would rather stay at Salt.

I like the property and closeness to other facilities however there was no full length mirror. Only the face mirror in the bathroom which was a bit frustrating

Room was large, full kitchen facilities, comfortable for the two of us and a 11 month old. Very clean and tidy, bed was comfortable and the resort was clean and tidy.
Very close to the beach and during our visit whales were seen everyday and were that close we could hear them. Great walking track adjacent to the resort. Cons - rooms were slightly older and showing their age in some ways.

Last minute choice was exactly what we wanted good value for price.

After 14 hours of driving from north QLD we were excited to get into our room and relax, unfortunately we were 1 hour early for check in which was ok at the time. We went to the bar and sat for over 2 hours waiting for a call. We called the receptionist and was told that reception was not able to contact house keeping and there was nothing that they could do. The reception staff were amazing and tried to settle my husband but at the end of the day we were just over the day, hope others had a better experience đ„

Liked location.
Did not like level of service and very poor or.
At your prices standards should be higher.
I was looking forward to this stay. I have been to Peppers before.
Overall sadly disappointed.
Unlikely to return or recommend.

We were disappointed in the condition of the room - water logged lamp shades and worn furniture. The bed was so uncomfortable - you could feel the springs. No room attendance so we had one set of towels for 3 nights and it was $250 a night for a small hotel room. Checkin was pretty lack luster and didnât even provide me an understanding of on-site amenities (good thing weâve stayed before and knew). The second night we stayed there was some kind of party happening at the pool below our room that didnât break up until 1am. Next time we stay in the area, we will look at other options as the room was by far the most expensive and in the worst condition to all the places we have stayed in Australia on this trip (even the country hotels were better).

We got a plunge room which is shared with another unit . There were cigarette butts near pool steps . Rusty air con leaking on concrete outside. Room was small, bathroom door was hitting the toilet door when opening. Air conditioner light couldnât be dulled or turned off was bright during the night. No windows to open . No screen on door so you could open for air. Staff were nice . Parking was easy. Good location. Felt tired and rundown for a 4.5 star - fairly underwhelming for the price . Disappointed:(

Water pressure in the shower was very poor, took 5 minutes to warm up.
Staff at pool side restaurant werenât overly friendly however front desk staff were mostly friendly and helpful.
Main Door to multi rooms didn't open easily which meant going back down to reception where I had to wait in line for 15 minutes. Overall wasnât impressed.

Room was so small and so badly planned. Two doors to get to the toilet, it was like a maze. Canât imagine what idiot must have planned the layout. Had next doors air conditioning unit on our balcony groaning away all night. Will never go back and definitely donât recommend staying here.

Everything was great apart from the water pressure in the shower. Little more than a dribble. All other facilities and aspects of the stay was outstanding. Great short stay. Will definitely be back.

We stayed 5 nights and it was enjoyable. It's well positioned. The place is about 20 years old but is very well maintained.
The walk to the beach is past several restaurants and a pub and not too far.
We also liked the Spa for massages and will return again.

Worse experience. Look elsewhere first. Kicked out of our room one day prior to our departure as the owner wanted the room. I was offered another room; however, we did not want to pack to unpack again, so I was provided a refund for that night as it essentially had ruined our time away, so we just wanted to go home. 14 days later still chasing our refund! We have had to chase the hotel after they took our bank details amount, etc., and said it would be fixed.

Overall good, areas that need attention: bar staff (40 mins from order to ready for a cocktail despite it not being too busy and having what seems like plenty of staff), shower water pressure was worst of any hotel Iâve stayed at, and lacking room charge around the resortâŠ.

When we checked in our room wasnât ready , had no clean beach towels and was next to a room that had smokers in it and the key stopped working half way through the night. The staff weâre understanding and gave us a late check out , complimentary drinks , an upgrade on our next visit along with a free breakfast.
When you stay at a resort things can go wrong but what makes the difference is the service they provide and in some cases the compensation when they miss the mark.

The pillows and the bed were the best! It was sleeping on a cloud. Lovely place, will definitely stay again!

The girl on the desk was rude, unhelpful, and made me feel like I was putting them out by trying to stay there

The spa in the room which was fantastic, overlooking to the pool area.
The only thing i didnt like was the dual entry area as it was noisy when the neighbours would come and go with doors banging.

The service level was lower than I had experienced previously at this hotel - this was my third stay in 3 years. There was no restaurant on site, the queue for check in, breakfast, bar service etc was so long each time it became very frustrating. Left the breakfast queue one morning after waiting 20 minutes to be seated and missed my included meal. The staff were inattentive and there was no room service available.

Property was overall good however noisy aircon units were a problem. We were eventually moved and promised compensation for the inconvenience but it was never forthcoming.

I was a bit worried seeing other reviews but honestly our stay was absolutely amazing, the only negative thing I have to say is any drink with the word "Bam Bam" in it avoid at all costs unless you love the taste of metho đ and our floorboards in our room must of had some water damage at some point as it bubbled in most of the kitchenette area and front of the bathroom, everything else was absolutely amazing and super relaxing, spa bath was awesome, plunge pool was super cute and really pretty at night, restaurants in the area were to die for and the staff were absolutely superb, we're thinking about heading back next year!!!!

Disappointing experience

The two doors one had to open to enter the room. Could perhaps the first door into the small vestibule between two apartments be removed. It is very strongly hinged to automatically close with a loud bang which sometimes could be disturbing. Is the second door for added security? If so is it really necessary ? Surely about 99 per cent of properties have a single locked door from public areas for security.

Excellent resort, location, staff were friendly. Restaurant had minimal food options one evening which was unfortunate.
$200 is requested on check in but the money doesnât return to your bank account for 5-7 business days after check out.

We totally expected a 5 star hotel room. Maybe Wotif customers do not receive the best rooms! We were given a very small room on the ground floor that looked out onto a brick fence, and around the corner, a road, just dirt and a few plants. Around the corner we could see plunge pools outside rooms. But, laying on the stones also, was a man's underpants and singlet, looking as though they had been there for weeks!! We also had to call housekeeping as there wasn't sufficient liquid in the dispensers for showering. We have stayed in 5 star hotels around the world, but this hotel was very disappointing!

Fire alarm went off at 5:30 in the morning. No staff took 10 to 15 minutes for the Fire Brigade to turn up and no help from least desk later. All they said is staff need re-training
