Room was clean.
For a room at £99 per night it was very poor. First thing you notice when entering the room was the curtain poles, they must have been put up by someone absolutely drunk. Was advertised as having the restaurant open but it wasnt so we had to go out to eat and no breakfast in the morning. wouldnt have stopped there if we had known

Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and clean, well presented room

The receptionist was welcoming and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. But I was disappointed that breakfast wasn't available on a Sunday. The day when guests are more likely to want it.

The staff was so lovely. I travelled into Yeovil for an interview and was late to check in due to train delays but they made sure to leave clear and concise instructions on how to access my room. The beds were so comfortable. They were very kind to let me check out 30 mins later because of my interview time. They were excellent and I would recommend them again and I will be sure to visit again❤️ It was a pleasure. Probably my favourite thing about being in Yeovil❤️

From the reviews we picked this hotel as we traveled from the midlands for a funeral.
We check in nice and easy and was told where are room was it was nice and clean.
We come back to are room about 10pm and noticed that on the back of the door to have breakfast we had to request it before 7pm we was never told this when we check in or via emails.
We had the spot lights shining though the window and the room was to warm during the night which made are stay uncomfortable we was woken up at 7am by a delivery being made for the bar so wasnt happy as we had a bad night sleep and we had a long day ahead
Overall a tidy room but would recommend not sleeping in room 1

Unfortunately, room was very cramped. Heater control was a bit faulty. No heater in bathroom so that was cold. Random step in the bathroom. Shower was nice and warm. Overall, I felt it was over-priced.

I had to find this hotel ay last minute which was not really in the area we wanted as my original choice was in Southampton. The double bed was very uncomfortable and noisy every time i moved and didn't get much sleep. Thankfully there was another bed and managed to get a better sleep there.

The bed had a metal bedframe, which was very noisy and creaked loudly every time you moved .I couldn't sleep and my husband ended up having to move into a single bed in the adjoining room . We struggled to get hot water for a shower although the staff were very quick to have a look at it .

Lovely peaceful stay at The Preston over a weekend. Friendly & professional reception when booking in on arrival. The room was a triple bed room with plenty of space and an en-suite. It was warm and comfortable and spotlessly clean.
The breakfast was superb and the drink in the bar one evening was very nice.
We would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Yeovil.

Water coming through the ceiling from rain from 3.30am meant a not very restful nights sleep. Mentioned in the morning to be told someone would into it. Made a phone call later to try and make a complaint, was promised a call back, but never happened.

We were visiting Yeovil for the funeral of a family member and were grateful for the friendliness of the staff and comfortable beds. This made a very upsetting visit as pleasant as possible. The breakfast was great and the service in the morning was super attentive. I was called before our arrival and talked through the check-in as the reception was going to be closed when we arrived. Not a problem at all as the instructions and manner of the person speaking to me on the phone were top-notch.
Really liked the decor and the layout of the building. My only wish would have been for more water pressure in the bath taps allowing for a bath to run faster, but that's not a deal breaker.
We'd visit again for sure

Clean and comfortable. Reception not manned many hours a day, but staff always contactable on phone and friendly and helpful.

Staff are lovely. Room was fine over all, however towel rail in the bathroom was falling off the wall. Awkward with toilet roll as no holder of any kind and seems you can't have heated towel radiator on without water pressure being affected. The shower trickled water out. Room was nicely done and presented and nice touch with the welcome biscuits and bottles of water. Bed a little uncomfortable but that's a personal preference. Family room lay out was good but the bed in the alcove was uncomfortable as it wasn't on a bed base but on a solid stone base so my son had a very bad nights sleep. We stayed here as very local to family and it's just one night so would stay again. I only have experience of the family rooms but had family with me staying in the double rooms and all good with those. They put a lot of effort in and make a really lovely breakfast. The staff are all very helpful and welcoming.

A very good stay. Check in was easy and the host very pleasant. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a full English and very good and served by friendly staff. Extra tea, coffee etc. for the room was provided daily in a bag so that staff did not have to enter the room. The only down side was that the bar was not open on the Sunday evening which is shown on the sign for bar opening hours.

The room I booked was unclear that the bathroom was not en suite so I had to pay extra for an upgrade, breakfast was not included where I thought it was as it mentions it in the comments. I thought the price was expensive for what we got

Less than 5 minutes to Yeovil town center.
Very cosy & clean.
Staff were very helpful and very curtious.
The breakfast was simple but nice. They use a 20 minute table time allocation system because of limited dining area, whereby the guests chose the best slot for themselves and this seems to work extremely well because this way the guests don't have to wait or fight for tables. 5 star hotels can learn from this...;-)
It was only for one night but I'll definitely recommend.

It is really inconvenient to check in at 16.00.The room had flies in it and the breakfast was not very nice.I would not return.

The room was cold, you couldn't turn the heating up or down because you had no control over it very poor.

There were only two things that could have been better that I could mention, those are due to having rheumatoid arthritis I found the bed too low and too soft and the noise from the traffic outside was quite loud and constant. Otherwise an absolutely lovely place run by equally lovely people

Comfy bed and plenty of space in room. Not that clean in bathroom- flakes of paint on floor, mould on ceiling. Breakfast was great. Ideal for a stop over night.
