This is a very centrally located hotel that was ideal for visiting Cognac. The room we had was spacious, clean and had a fully accessible bathroom that would be nice if you had mobility issues. There is no parking on site, but there is street parking and a nearby free parking lot. Staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area.

Was disappointed at first as the room was very small, However we were only there to sleep and everything worked despite the cramped conditions. Bed was very comfortable much to our surprise, sheets good. The front desk service won us over. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always polite and efficient.
Ended saying it was very good value if just you wanted somewhere sleep.

Great location in the middle of town. We got a parking spot in front of the hotel for free since it was the weekend. The rooms were tiny but clean and the staff were friendly. Good breakfast with decent choices considering the size of the hotel. Good experience overall and good value for money.

Great location and clean.
The rooms were a little small, and not even a small fridge.

The hotel is in a great location near the centre of town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and functional the only downside are the bathrooms- they are very small.
We had a good stay and would recommend.

Very helpful staff in a very adequate hotel. We were just staying on a stopover but the hotel was clean & quiet, everything worked, the room was small and just big enough.
Breakfast was fantastic, the pastries were light & delicious, coffee &juice superb &there was a good choice. The town centre was only a couple of hundred yards away too, lots of choice for food, and the distilleries close by.

Very good hospitality - very helpful.
Accommodation quite small but has what you need. Close to town for a little wander and lunch in the square.
Just opposite you’ll find the tourist information where you’ll find tours to the cognac houses information.

The staff here made all the difference. Their caring and helpful nature was truly appreciated. The comfortable rooms and convenient location with a few parking spaces if you reserve we’re all winners. It’s very close to dining and the Cognac houses to visit.

At first seemed small and disorganized, but hotel grew on us . Very nice owner and wife ! The one lady that works for them wasn't very knowledgeable. Get room downstairs by courtyard much better .

We stayed at this hotel for a night whilst cycling through France. Everything was perfect for us, from check in, rooms (air -con a plus), staff and location. Our bikes were looked after, a meal booked for us at a local restaurant and breakfast was great. All in all a great overnight stay in Cognac

At first the hotel doesn't look too inviting, but it is a nice clean place to stay. The rooms are small, but the surprise is the very modern bathroom. We had a second floor and a view over the nice court yard. The parking is available, but only for 4 cars inside the court yard, but although the general description of the hotel states self parking available, it is at a cost. Also it says pet friendly and no mention of a cost for a pet, they charge 6 euros per night for the pet.
The hotel location is very good, just two blocks from Martel, which I recommend, and walking distance to Meukow, Otard and Hennessy The old castle entrance gate is preserved down at the river nest to Otard and Hennessy. There are many restaurants nearby, but you may pay 8.5 euros each for the hotel's breakfast that is rather meager - bread, croissant, yogurt, boiled egg and coffee. I skipped the hotel's offering, and for about 9 euros went to the patisserie a block away and got fresh pasties and coffee for two.
If you have an automobile, there are many, many independent Cognac Houses that produce only their Cognac, rather than the blends of the Major Houses. Remy-Martin and Martel apparently collect cognac from some of these independents and blend them to make much of their production.
Out of the several independents we visited one stood out as superior in all respects (my opinion). This is Cognac Pinearu Danjou in Goux. It is about 12 km from the hotel, difficult to find without a GPS.

Basic, but reflected in the price. Welcoming and helpful staff. Room not generous, but perfectly comfortable and the hotel is conveniently situated.

Very pleasant, handy for Estate Agents and Resturants

We only stayed one night, but staff were very helpful and we were able to sit outside on the terrace and eat our 'picnic' dinner - traveling with a 4 year old and wanting to eat early, it was nice not to be restrained to the room. Nice size room for three, with comfortable and modern facilities. We didn't have breakfast, so unable to recommend food. Both staff members we encountered were excellent and very helpful/friendly.

Central location, although the room was VERY small.....it was clean, comfortable bed, hot water, quiet A/C. ( No door to bathroom - just a curtain)
