Convenient location and service is good. Will recommend.

Ordered room service, spent the next ten hours vomiting and the next few days with diarrhea meaning I couldn't leave the room as I needed a bathroom. Had to cancel all my tours and saw none of the city. When I raised this to management they gave me like a $10US credit for the bad meal. I will no longer bring my business to Marriot, they ruined my trip with poor food safety and didn't do enough to make it right.

I lost my phone from the airport from Chiang Mai. The reception staff were amazing to help & made many phone calls
to assist my holiday

There are 2 things that I dislike about this hotel, the lobby and the breakfast areas because they were always busy with lots of traffic and kids running around everywhere.
The reception staff were pleasant though.

We stayed for 4 days. The hotel is nice and comfortable. Staff are all very friendly and helpful, no matter those at lobby or club lounge. We feel so welcomed and warm in Marriot.
Food at club lounge is unexpectedly good. The food choices during happy hour time is awesome. We dun even need to eat outside at all!
Spa at the hotel is good too! My therapist, Jiab is so nice and with great technique! I experienced the best massage here!
Highly recommended!

The concierge met us at the airport for transportation. Very friendly.
The hotel itself has a few minor issues.
1) Inform customers already at booking that electricity will be off due to planned maintenance.
2) Inform customers already at booking that kid pool is closed.
3) There was no desk in the suite, as promised, making it hard for me to work.
4) The restaurant Favola having problem with executing orders. One person had to wait 40 min for a spaghetti with tomato sauce.
5) The cleaning is not 100%, day three we still find left over fruits.
The club doesn’t have egg cup holders.
For a five star hotel it’s the details.

The Marriott Hotel in Chiang Mai is not a 5 star hotel by any standards. It is a soulless machine that lacks the attention to detail and charm so many hotels in Thailand can boost. Chaotic breakfast service with good variety but no heart put into providing food of quality; uninspired Thai dishes, stale factory bread, cheap tea bags... Dirty carpets in the lifts. Cheap bathroom products. Blocked toilet and leak from roof (which were quickly fixed, but nevertheless). The many little things that added together makes you feel like you are in a mediocre 4 star hotel. I chose Marriott for location as my favourite hotels in CM - Yaang Come Village, Tamarind Village, and the Rachamankha hotel were all fully booked. Depending on your budget, try one of these instead!

Hotel staff were excellent.
Room was very clean.
However, i would like them to separate the door to closet and bathroom.
It was quite uncomfortable to use.

The hotel is great, clean room with good facilities. Breakfast selection good. The location is perfect: right by the night market area for shopping and food options and easy walking distance into the old town.

We have stayed here before on 3 other occasions and found our stay this time to be very underwhelming.
Twice the staff lost our drink orders by the pool, the staff in general were not as on point for what you would expect at a Marriott hotel.
The property was clean however lots of tiny flies flying around the food at breakfast time especially the fruits.
One day our door was not closed properly after housekeeping. It was quite alarming, luckily our room was at the end of a corridor so you wouldn’t know unless you were down that end - No one had been in from what we could tell.
I remember coming here every other trip and having that, I’m on in holidays and staying in a luxury hotel feeling with the staff being absolutely amazing.

The hotel is absolutely perfect but there was too many construction happening so we didn't get to enjoy the pool or the gym.
The staff are perfect especially Mr. J. We love Mr. J, he's soooo helpful and look after us soooo well.
Thank you Mr. J

Was not informed this property was under construction until after purchase. When wanting to leave early was not given credit for days not stayed.
Hallways smelled like marijuana.

Amazing service, from front desk, checking to the concierge man, who was very helpful. The room was excellent. Restaurants was amazing. Even the chef changed a meal because we did not like the taste of prawns. He came to our table twice to make sure that we were satisfied. He was totally amazing. Can’t wait to return. We did not miss the pool. Everything about love Mouradian was amazing and excellent staff, thank you for working so hard to provide super great service. Bridget

This is my favorite place to stay in Chiang Mai. It is beautiful. It’s clean and very well appointed. The location is perfect…This Le Meridian is always my first choice when I visit.

This is my second stay at the hotel is is conveniently located. The staff is courteous, efficient and accommodating. The room and facilities are well maintained and clean. The club level option was an very good value. I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Currently the property is undergoing a renovation. With construction going on during the day, it is virtually impossible to have a pleasant rest in the afternoon

Didn’t realise it is Le Meridian taken over by Marriott Bonvoy. Booked Club floor but club lounge on 22nd level closed for renovation. Furnishing in room was so old; no USB port for charging phone, etc. The worst annoying experience was mosquitoes hovering around me at the Lobby and bar area, anytime of the day and night! Had bitten marks on my feet; right foot got swollen upon my return home in Singapore (6days’ stay).

When I tried to check in after 16:00, the front desk said the room was not ready yet because it needed a "safety check." Not a problem, I thought, but after I sat in the lobby for over 35 minutes I went up to the front desk to ask for an update; a person said the room was now available and sent me on my way. While I understand that covid/pandemic has put more of a burden on the cleaning staff, I was a bit surprised that the front desk did not do more welcome me. (A bottle of water while I waited would've been greatly appreciated.) Instead, the front desk staff acted as if waiting for your room was a normal business fact. Later on, after I sent in a comment through Expedia, a hotel representative reached out to offer complimentary breakfast, which was very kind of her. So my review is mixed. I very much appreciate that they tried to fix an error and I truly understand the pandemic has made things difficult (especially with hiring), however, I just didn't expect the uneven service. (There were other annoyances that I won't mention.) On the positive: the view from my room was nice and the location can't be beat. However, I would stay elsewhere next time.
