This is a very comfortable hotel, clearly well run, with excellent, large airy room with and large picture windows. The variety of foods for breakfast was impressive, with attentive and friendly staff. The hotel is well located, just 10 minutes walk from the old city with it's multiple temples. The night market is close too, and good restaurants within easy walking distance.

Location was good and clean rooms . The only thing is that needs is having more updated rooms. Specially the shower that needs a renovation. Other than that is good! We enjoyed our stay

What an amazing place. First the location is great as it is right in the heart of the old city, near the night bazaar and many restaurants. The actual property itself is absolutely beautiful with well kept interiors and lawns, including private books and crannies. The breakfast was great with a lot of selections. The pool is great, especially if you have kids as it has a water slide and whole kids play area in the pool. Basically the place is definitely top tier. The only negative I would have to say is that it is a bit pricey compared to most hotels in Chiang Mai, and also that it's size can make it feel less personal and inviting than other hotels. that being said, one event sealed the deal for us and made a one night stay turn to 4. I lost my camera at an event off-site from, but booked through the hotel. I called them to ask if there was anything they could do (assuming I my camera was a loss). Patt from the hotel staff (who has been incredibly helpful throughout our visit) said she would call the golf course where I lost my camera. less than 40 minutes later she informed me that not only had they found my camera, but the course was going to drop it off at the hotel for me! I had my camera back the next day. I cannot begin to express how amazing the level of support made us feel, and how thankful and impressed I am with the staff at both the Shangri-La and the Gasson Panorama Golf Club. I will be singing their praises for years to come

Amazing experience 8 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the night bazaar. We were here during the great flooding in October 2024, and the hotel couldn't have handled it better. They tried their very best to keep the guest comfortable and safe. They offered different means of transportation to dry areas of the city. People were allowed to cancel their reservations to move other places. Best service ever! And at last a shout out to Joe in housekeeping, always smiling and willing to serve and assist us during our stay.

Beautiful hotel room! Spacious. Very curious and helpful staff. The continental breakfast is the most impressive I’ve seen! And delish! Very close to walking to many many restaurants, cafes, shopping!! Close to the Night Bazzar! So fun to shop and eat there.

I have a membership can get 20% discount on spa service. I’ve several checked discount is available with hotel staff and used spa. However when we had check-out, they said “discount is not available cause the spa cost is already special promotion. I’am very unhappy no one explained to me before. And reception staff are not friendly, unkind. Processing check-in, I didnt informed any information regarding breakfast location, swimming pool facilities, etc. Detail explanation is to be required. Otherwise, guard in pool, staff in restaurant is very nice.

We loved this hotel!! The staff tried to meet our every need. The pool and the gym were really fabulous and the room was very comfortable for two women traveling together. Twin beds were ever so slightly smaller that a full in the States. There was security that they asked us to walk through a few times which eas quick and easy. The hotel staff was GREAT! Shout out to Tor and James especially.

We had the best time at the Shangri-la hotel. We upgraded our room which I highly recommend and had access to their lounge on the 11th Floor. We had delicious breakfast there, drinks, coffee, etc. Everyone was extremely kind. Service is off the charts amazing!
