Dated hotel but beds were newer. Right on the Seawall but not walking distance to shopping or dining. Pool is not as appears in the pictures, and was closed but not mentioned in booking. Nov is considered offseason. Only select few rooms on the ocean side most face east west.
3.8
Hotel was very run down. Definitely not what you would expect for a Holiday Inn. Hotel has a great location, but that is about the only thing going for it.
3.8
Hotel is showing its age. Need some TLC.

I've paid less for better comfort. The room is so hot. After being asked if othet rooms available, i was told they were booked up and was given a box fan. , pool is closed (not noted it was) was not able to watch tv due to very bad internet connection. The shower has mold on the ceiling. But i do have to mention, front desk customer service was excellent.

For having just gotten through a hurricane
They were on top of everything and the staff was great

Veggie omelet with ham was the only problem as my main attraction to the holidayinn is there veggie omelet

The lady of front desk was so rude and the pool was not working . We ask for cancellation and she don’t want to give a good phone number to cancel.

Stay was short only a few hours of sleep but really good - beds were amazingly comfortable and the room was nice and clean. Loved that they provided all the soaps and lotions.

This was our second and FINAL stay at this place. We stayed here a few years ago and were again greeted by chaos in the parking lot, in the form of construction equipment crowding the handicapped parking area.
The outside was horrible. I understand Beryl had caused some damage and these issues need to be repaired. However, the parking below the structure was horrible. Screws, nails, tacks, & debris strewn about. "Park at your own risk" signage is an admission of a problem, let alone not very inviting at all.
Our 1st visit, we had NO WiFi. Our recent visit, we had NO WiFi! "Could not find IP address" "Could not connect" tells me the routers were not working, or maybe not even real. Good thing we had Hotspots, but i used my data allowance within 4 hours of being in the room for the evening.
I just gotta say something about the slimy mold present around the shower soap dispenser. I was able to clean most of it up with hot water and showerhead set to high stream. Took about 10mins. I really didn't want my wife or children exposed to that. Unsanitary conditions. Possible source of illness. Room #210. Smelled of smoke as well. No child safety lock to the balcony door - AGAIN.
Upside:
Staff is wonderful. They can only do so much with what they are given by management.
Breakfast was plentiful and my son loved the pancake machine. Nice to be able to toast your own bread, as well.

I didn't give this hotel a high review because of the state of the hotel. I understand they were hit by storm after storm and their building is under construction. In my opinion, this is something that should be revealed when booking. Parking was tight on such a small area to start with because of machinery blocking most of the parking lot and debris. Staff was very accommodating in trying to get me the best, quietest room possible, though.

We got kicked out of Guidos because they overbooked or something at 9:30 at night they made us leave. We came here and the front desk clerk was amazing I think his name was Robert. The hotel is being renovated because of the hurricane so the pool was closed but we got to use the pools in the hotels on both sides of us. There was a smell of mold in the hotel. Breakfast was great.

Great.. right across from the sea wall

Even after hurricane Beryl, the hotel was open for travelers. The pool was closed, but it was raining the entire trip anyways. We had been camping and had a medical emergency and Robert (front desk) worked some magic and got us into a room early so that we could clean up before going to the doctor appointment. They were incredibly accommodating and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

Half of the hotel was under construction without notice ( lacked breakfast and other services ). Had to cancel reservation last minute.
3.8
Under construction and workers there to early on a Sunday morning, other than that great place to stay

This is an old property. Nothing wrong with that. It was very expensive in my opinion for what we got. One night $300. Staff were nice. It had a smell of mold. I would recommend a newer hotel than this one due to the age, cleanliness, and smell.

It was fine. Came after the storms and the pool was closed.
3.8
Proximity to port

This was an amazing trip my family and I visited this hotel. The room was fabulous, definitely love the balcony view of the beach. Breakfast was A++ the server was great and made sure the food was fresh even served my daughter and I fresh pancakes. You definitely get your money worth here and I will be back soon.

Over night stay awaiting for carnival cruise time to come up

The Hotel was doing outside maintenance on the building. The pool was close, would not have booked here if i knew that. The construction guys were working outside of our room all day.
3.8
Staff was fantastic. Hotel was clean but the pool was inoperable while we were there. That was my only complaint. I researched, planned, saved, and a main reason for choosing this hotel was because of location and the pool for our 3 kids. It was out of use the whole time we were there. I wish hotels would start disclosing that information clearly when booking. The kids were super bummed and so were mom and dad.

Awesomeness

Robert was the best part of our stay! We understand the weather the month before effected the structure of the building, but the tile was falling off the shower wall, hair was on the bathroom floor, our bed sheet had hair on it when we turned it down, the blinds would not roll up and when going out to the patio there were cigarettes and cups outside.
We just wanted to get away for our anniversary and Robert at the front desk was our best part of being at this hotel.
3.8
AC was not working properly. The hallway smelt like mold. The fridge for the breakfast milk was not cooling correctly and the milk was spoiled. More than one container.

Our stay was excellent. The staff was incredible. Special shout out to Robert! He was overly accommodating to our big group and our additional needs. Very friendly. My 8 and 5 year olds were always excited to see him working, and that says a lot!
3.8
Nice location, but hotel was very dirty. Our room had stains on the carpet and the chair. The lampshade was stained as well. Overpriced for the quality of the room.

Stay there every summer because of all amenities and staff
