Great hotel and very handy for buses they stop just across the road outside the hotel. Direct to old town, lapad, and gruz harbour which is where most islands boat trips leave from . Lovely walking trails just down from the front of the hotel that takes you along the promenade of lapad past the cave bar or to gruz harbour if walking the other direction. I would definitely stay here again

I would highly recommend this hotel when you are in Dubrovnik!! The breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve ever had! The pool and spa are really nice features too! Also, it is super easy to take a bus (from across the street) in to the walled city for only a couple of Euros per trip.

We stayed for 3 nights, and loved it. Great location a little away from Old town, and there is a public bus that takes you right from your hotel to old town. Nice pools, amenities and access to sister hotels a short walk away.

Great resort in the middle of others. Breakfast fabulous and the room spacious and clean. We didn't find the staff particularly friendly but maybe just busy. Good location. Prices reflective of being in a resort but it is a lovely walk along the coast into Lapad.

The hotel is clean and well-maintained. The staff were universally friendly, helpful, and efficient. The room was good, with a massive bed, but the linen was undersized and kept untucking. It was unusually hot while we were there. Our room was on the top floor and the air conditioning struggled to keep the temperature down. Reception kindly reduced the minimum temperature when I raised the issue. That helped, but even with the aircon set at 17 deg C 24 hours a day, the room was never really cool other than in the early hours of the morning. Our sons stayed on the second floor and their room was fine, so I assume the issue is heat soaking through the ceiling from the roof space. It's a short walk down to the water. We went for a swim in the sea every morning before breakfast - best bit of the holiday! The buffet breakfast was great. I was less impressed with the buffet dinner (which I only had once). There were lots of options, but nothing was particularly impressive. I tried several of the desserts at the end and was genuinely surprised at how poor most of them were. It's a small thing, but both the filter and espresso machine coffee were dreadful. It really took the shine off an otherwise excellent breakfast experience. Another small thing: the shower gel was rubbish (both smell and lathering) and there was no conditioner. Despite imperfections, overall we were happy with the experience and would return (as long as they could guarantee a room on a lower floor).

Seldom do properties seem as great as they are advertised but this place was remarkable. First class service and wonderful accommodations. The multi room hotel is broken up into smaller segments, making it seem more intimate than it would otherwise. The setting is sublime, set back from the sea but high enough in elevation to get a view. Southern and western orientation makes the expansive outdoor terrace and pools shimmer at sunset.

This hotel is really great. It is modern, in great condition, with good amenities. You also have the added bonus of using the amenities of the several sister Valamar hotels next door. The only negative is that the location is surrounded by hotels so eating options are limited and there isn't a fun strip to walk to.

The room is satisfactory and clean but airconditioning can be further improved. The phone in the room is also not working and was not repaired even after reported it. They provided us a free bottle of proseco for our anniversary so it was a great touch. The beach in front of the hotel was impressive with clear waters. The breakfast was amazing as well with great variety. Gym, spa and pool are also open for extended periods compared to other hotels (7am to 9pm). Highly recommended

I don’t feel this property was exactly as advertised. The pool area was small for the number of guests, I never managed to find a lounge chair. The beach required you to pay for a lounge chair for the day and was difficult to find - about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Upon checking in a bit early, I was happy to wait for the room. When I returned at the advised time, the room still wasn’t ready. Rudely the staff told me to wait for official check in, later checking in other guests behind me in the line. It felt like a mid level all inclusive resort, which was not what I was anticipating.

Gorgeous hotel, pristinely clean, facilities are great with plenty to do around the hotel and beach 10 minute walk away. Staff so friendly, breakfast buffet is delicious, everything fresh and lots of variety. Location is great 10 minutes on the bus to old town (bus stop end of the driveway) 20 minute walk into Lapad on a gorgeous coastal path. My only negative comments are that our room was a little dated in decor and the bed was 2 singles pushed together instead of a double. However these were only small negatives and were not enough to outweigh all the positives of a great hotel and perfect holiday. I 100% recommend this hotel!

We LOVED our stay! It was so lovely to have the saunas and steam in the spa, great outdoor/indoor pool, and wonderful access to sister hotel beach! Easy to get in and out of town on the bus! Nice breakfast with tons of healthy options! The hotel was wonderful we would absolutely stay again!!

Spent a week here to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. Had a really great time in a quiet setting that is only 20 minutes away from the old town by bus. 2nd time here, and we are sure to be back.

Excellent facilities at the Valamar Lacroma which ad a real luxury feel. The views of the islands from the hotel were excellent especially at sunset from the Vero bar. The bus to Old Town was easy to catch from outside the hotel and only €2. We had the best time and would recommend to anyone.

We had a lovely weeks stay at this hotel, nice and clean. Our room had a view of the sea and elephiti islands which was so beautiful to wake up to in the morning. The pool both indoors and out was not overcrowded and there was always sun loungers available for everyone to enjoy ( no mad rush with towels to reserve your spot)!! The buffet breakfast was fabulous with a wide range of choices for everyone. We also dined at the meditteraneo restaurant and enjoyed the vegetarian options available on our 1st visit however on our second dining experience the we found that the options available were more for side dishes and the choice for vegetarians was limited in terms of main dishes. The Veno bar is great for drinks and cocktails as well as light bites..(their fries are very yummy 😊) The waiters were attentive and pleasant. We did use the bus and it took around 15 minutes to old town. The bus stop is just outside at the top of the entrance to the hotel so super convenient. We did have a problem with our telephone in our room so every time we needed concierge we had to actually go downstairs to the reception and talk to them in person. We mentioned the telephone issues with the staff at the reception desk but the issue remained unsolved, however this didn't deter from our enjoyment of our stay at the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay here, the staff was kind and helpful. The place was clean. It is walking distance to good beaches which was what we wanted. The hotel does cater to an audience of cruise folks, not a negative but may not be everyone’s taste. You’ll have to drive to old town because there’s not much else to do around the hotel. The negatives: our room may need some upkeeping, there was a leak from the vent ceiling that we thought may be the AC. And the shower door did not prevent the water from flowing out everywhere when showering. And the pillows were incredibly flat even when folded to double up.

Amazing Hotel with great facilities, fantastic breakfast and a beautiful setting. Watching the sunset from the hotel’s restaurants was brilliant. The outdoor and the indoor pool are very clean and perfect for the hot days in Dubrovnik!
