Lovely boutique hotel, short stroll from centre of city. Great little cocktail bar onsite. Room was great, well equipped and super clean. Had everything we needed. We traveled with 3 teens, and they loved this place

The hotel itself is nice. The food in the restaurant in the hotel is not the best. But for the convenience of location it was great.

Nice hotel with all the things you want.
We booked the family room for our family of six and it looked exactly like the pictures.
The floors were a bit old and quite noisy which is charming but not so much when the guests in upstairs room dance and jump after a night out long after our bedtime 😬
We were cold at night and there weren’t any extra blankets.
The atmosphere in the restaurant were nice but not for families with small children but great for a quiet adult dinner.

The stay was comfortable but mired by booking issues, and a bathroom with only a shower, on second floor when I had called ahead to arrange ground floor due to mobility issues. Shower needed cleaning and rubber seals hanging orr, plus no extra tor fan. Also sink so small.couldn't fill kettle or bottles, and not particularly good for washing either being so small. Cocktail bar staff like to show off prepared coctails for other guests so gave up after 5min wait. Dining room staff pleasant but young and inexperienced so tad brisk on clearing up and forthright on challenge for room details for payment.

Front desk staff were friendly but the room itself was not as advertised. It was dirty, musty, and not clean. There was mould in the kettle and in the bathroom.
After we checked in and got to the room, there was a note that mentioned there would be no staff onsite after 8:30 (when the restaurant closed). The note said if anything was needed after that time, to call 999.
It was more of a hostel with private rooms than a hotel.
There is only one staircase in and out - no fire exits.
The door rattled anytime someone opened their room door, even on a different floor.
It felt unclean and unsafe. We immediately left to find alternative accommodations. The front desk staff “broke their policy” and provided us with a partial refund.
The Beaufort told us to contact Hotels for the remaining refund. Hotels told us they needed to confirm with the Beaufort before refunding and they attempted to contact the hotel. The hotel refused to answer, and so we received no refund for the remaining half.

This was a wonderful hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They made you feel right at home. The hotel was in a very convenient location, easy walk to downtown shopping, the train station (not pulling luggage, up hill) and variety of restaurants.

The room stinks. The carpet was dirty. Very poor insulation of walls and windows since we could hear the conversations from the next rooms, the noises from the parking lot and the screams and music from a large party that took place on the floor below. We couldn't rest.

Accidentally booked a compact room. It was ok but pretty small.
6.0 / 10.0
Our first room had mold and mildew on the bathroom ceiling above the shower. The shower doors were difficult to move to close. We were moved immediately to another room. This room was clean, carpet was worn and it was extremely small. No where to place items near the sink, toothbrush, etc. staff were attentive and we had dinner in their restaurant and it was delicious. I know they are working on updating and repairing things and the manager is eager to take care of those things.

Hotel was ok. Beds were not very comfortable, internet service was poor and quite frankly non existent in our suite.
Staff was ok. We had booked online and they had issues finding our reservation payment, when called they were unable to answer clearly wether it had been resolved. Upon check in they asked for a card for incidentals, which is normal practice, but then proceeded to charge the reservation without our knowledge or approval because their internet system wasnt working properly.
No folio was given upon checkout with details of charges made to our card, which seemed unusual. Not sure if this was an oversight or a sneaky way to charge our card without our permission.
If they had been honest upon checkin regarding the situation with their intenet system we would have been happy to work with them, but taking our card information under false pretense is unacceptable.
When i called the manager to ask for clarification he was extremely rude... i would not stay there again nor would i recommend it.
Its too bad because the building is pretty and the location is convenient, but service makes the biggest part of a holiday and this was subpar.

Good quiet location, rooms are a bit dated and could be cleaner. There was an event the evening I stayed which had music playing until 11:30pm

Very charming, clean friendly, comfortable hotel. Staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, carrying my bags up to the third floor for me without me having to ask. Great room. I did not try the on-site breakfast, but it looked good from what I could tell. Would definitely stay again.

Staff where really helpful. The outside patio was excellent. Bed was very comfy.

When we got to our room, it was very hot. One of the windows was broken and the bathroom window barely opened. The towel heater had to be fixed by the staff as it would not turn off. Also the overhead light kept flashing. There were stains on the bedding and the shower door was coming off.Staff was friendly but facility needs an update.

No ac and only 1 window opened. New bathroom was gorgeous but bath tub jets turned on by themselves. Did not have daily service. Ran out of tp

Super friendly and accommodating staff!

I booked a family suite. When we checked in, the toilet was broken. We were moved to a much less expensive room with fewer beds. No refund has been given for the down-graded room. Poor service. Poor communication between staff members. Poor customer service.
6.0 / 10.0
Our room for 4 had a large bed and then a pull out sofa which was made up upon arrival. We were in room 34 and this pull-out was terrible. Both sides sloped towards the middle making a good night of sleep nearly impossible. The tissues in the room are very cheap quality and rough. And lastly, housekeeping didn't come one of the days. For $350USD/night, I would expect a better experience... That being said, it was a pretty good location, the cocktail bar downstairs made great drinks and was very nice, and the staff was friendly. Would I stay here again? If I had to, I guess. But I would look elsewhere first.

nice old building, shame the place is run by kids, food expensive and only 2 options, which if I was not hungry when i got there I would of just not bothered, the steak had burnt bits off the griddle on it and swimming in oil. Bed was comfy and clean room only issue was walls are paper thin

The price I paid for the room was sky high. It was not possible to open the window before 21:00 because of noises of the kitchen fan. Even not normal windows in the room.

Nice boutique hotel. The manager was jovial, friendly and. Helpful. The sofa bed was not very comfortable. Breakfast was pricey.

Overall lovely stay. No air flow in the room made things very warm, even with windows open. Otherwise, very nice little hotel at the north end of Loch Ness.
10.0 / 10.0
Apart from the constant banging of doors by unsociable guests, the heat of the bedroom and the noisy motor running at different times the stay was most pleasant.

I quickly connected with the staff and shared a couple stories along the way. The food could be better for being £18 but the room and location to the city center were great!

The Beaufort Hotel was one of the best stays we had on our long journey. It was perfectly situated above the town, just a few minutes walk to the river. The staff were exceptional. They were all incredibly warm, and friendly. The food was superb, and the lounge area was gorgeous to relax in. The room was quite comfortable, and very quiet. I miss the hotel already, and look forward to staying there again.

Very central about a 12 minute walk to the shops & station. My room had no TV remote. I reported this & was given another room. Unfortunately I had un packed but they insisted on giving me another room. It was a better room with a bath & shower but I found a pair of glasses and a cap in the room plus the carpet needed a hoover especially under the bed. A part from this a lovely hotel. Staff were very good.

We had a lovely stay here and there was plenty of room for our family of 6. We never tried the on site restaurant but it did smell fantastic! There is a really nice sitting area outside In the front of the hotel. I would note that the walk up to the hotel is up hill, so it might be tough for someone who can’t walk far (so do believe there is a bus stop close to the hotel though. We were able to walk to everything in Inverness within about 15 minutes. We would definitely stay again.

The staff in the Beaufort are simply the nicest, friendly and helpful people!
We arrived early to the hotel, 4 hours prior to check in time as we were attending a family funeral. The two wonderful ladies on reception ensured they we were allocated a room right away - they were just so helpful and nice!
The evening staff were so attentive and the food was just delicious! All in all a truly wonderful experience.
