Beachfront 5 star resort above and beyond all our expectations

Absolutely awesome beach front bungalow

One of the best resorts we have ever stayed in

We stayed in one of the beach front houses, and it was true to the pictures on the website. Property was clean, staff were friendly and attentive and addressed us by our names which was a nice touch. It would be nice if they had a specials menu that changed every day, however the food that they had was nice, so I can't complain. The only small negative that I have is that we ordered room service on a day that was extremely windy, hence didn't venture out, and were charged a $10 room service fee to take the food a few steps to our door. Whilst I know this is in their terms and conditions, we feel it is a bit steep when you are already paying top dollar to stay there. Apart from that, we had a great stay, and from what we saw it is one of the better resort on the island.

The property was lovely as were the grounds. Unfortunately it rained, was very windy and cold while we were there so we didn’t even go into the water. As for Rarotonga itself we wouldn’t return however if you don’t want to an outer island and want to stay on the main island, this property would be hard to beat although quite expensive. The restaurant food was 10 out of 10. In windy wet weather we had to have room service as their dining area isn’t intended for inclement weather.

Great for a quiet and sophisticated break away from it all. Staff were friendly and professional. The food was amazing, with both excellent quality and variety. The snorkelling right outside the hotel is the best we found anywhere on the motu. The pool area is a heavenly oasis of relaxation during the day.

I only had time to spend one night here but it was great. Staff are very friendly and hotel is in a amazing location right on the beach with a restaurant and pool right above the beach. If I ever return to the island which hopefully I will, I plan on staying here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Little Polynesian. Apart from a few issues listed below, the resort was great. The staff were friendly and the rooms were modern, renovated, and clean. The views from the beach bungalow were amazing. The included 'tropical breakfast' is a complete disappointment and mediocre at best. It included a paltry offering of a few small pieces of fruit and some toast. It definitely wasn't worth waking up for, nor the short walk to the restaurant. For a 5-star resort and at the $800 a night price point, this included breakfast is an embarassment. We skipped breakfast after the first morning because it was a joke and not worth waking up for. The resort provides cutlery and dishes in the room. When you order room service they do not bring you cutlery and expect you to wash and use the cutlery in the room. When I order and pay for room service I do not appreciate having to do dishes afterwards. Rarotonga is a really beautiful island and we will be returning in the future.

We loved our stay at Little Poly. The staff were kind, friendly and attentive. They made us feel welcome and helped us when we needed it. The resort itself is mere metres from the lagoon, which is ideal for snorkelling and kayaking. In addition, the resort is near many amenities and the popular Muri beach. The next time we visit Rarotonga, we will be staying here again.

Emplacement de cet hotel est magnifique (lagoon, snorkeling spots sur place, belle plage). Les villas sont excellents, entourés les jardins tropicales. Par contre, le niveau du service est correct, si nous sommes dans l’hotel 3 etoiles, mais pour 5 etoiles, c’est insatisfaisant. En commençant par la reception, un peu decevable, pas de collier de fleur, ni serviette humides, ni coctail de bienvenue, aucun ce petit signe de bienvenu qu’on trouve habituellement dans resorts de ce genre. Nous avons eu une mauvaise experience avec la reservation de la table pour souper, ce qui a gaché une bonne partie de notre sejour, même si nous avons reçu les excuses de manager le matin suivant. Il reste toujours sale après le menage (room service). Rien n’est prevu pour recyclage. Petit déjeuner inclus est juste correct (toasts, fruits, yougurt, cereales, café) si tu reste pour une deux nuits, mais pas plus. Nous avons y resté 5 nuits et le prix payé (700 nz$) est assez élevé pour le petit dejeuner pareil. Restaurant est juste ok, pas plus. Globalement, lorsqu’on y va dans une hotel 5 étoiles sur les îles tropicales, nous attendons un niveau du service plus haut surtout si on paye cher. J’espère que le management fera les efforts pour améliorer le niveau du service, car on parle de meilleur resort sur l’île. Je me pose la question, qu’est-ce que se passe dans autres dans ce cas?

Beautiful location and rooms! Staff are great! Unfortunately you have to pay extra for wifi, but it is still worth the stay.

Amazing property and excellent service

We had an excellent relaxing week at The Little Polynesian, the staff were welcoming and knew us by name, the food was delicious and the chef made gluten free versions of most dishes for my wife with Celiacs. The grounds are clean and safe and the marine reserve is right there for great snorkelling.

Lovely place to stay in Raro! Room was great, food was lovely and setting for dinner and drinks was gorgeous. Staff were very friendly and most helpful too! Highly recommend! Thanks Greg and staff!

Excellent property and location. Restaurant good. Booked transfers from the airport and they didn’t show up. No real apology from the property or indication this was a concern. Only got to the property through intervention of kind stranger as we arrived late at night. Most staff good but some just cold and clueless, not appropriate given the price. Might stay again but would have to think about it.

Loved the beautiful villa on the beach. The little private garden with the outside shower was fantastic - used it everyday. The food was delicious and the staff felt like family. Will definitely go back

This was one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed at. The service and attention to detail was world class. It was the perfect honeymoon getaway. The food at the hotel was also spectacular, we were sad we couldn't try everything on the menu! I highly recommend this hotel.

hotel rooms appear to have been recently renovated, nice and clean. view is great. food is reasonably priced and delicious

Small hotel but by far one of if not the best spots to be on Raro. Updated bathrooms are awesome. Staff is amazing you should stop reviewing and book it. You do have to pay for WiFi but it is strong.
