Lovely cosy village pub. Nice if small bedroom but with en-suite. Very clean, good evening meal (for guests only) and good breakfast. Friendly owners Mark and Audrey are moving but the pub is staying open with new people.

Had.a lovely stay Audrey and Mark were lovely so welcoming. Our room was lovely and clean nice comfy bed. We had our little dog Maudie with us there was treats for her at breakfast. The only regret was we didn’t have dinner there we went to Callander and the road was so dark next time we will have dinner there

Really friendly staff. Only problem is the choice of food for dinner as they currently do not have a chef but the breakfast was really good. Wish them luck in getting the staff situation sorted like so many hotels in uK

Very friendly and welcoming, great big breakfast, and an interesting selection of real ales, that I unfortunately didn't have time to try.
Left on the Sunday morning, and were given a run back into Callander, great service.
Recommended.

We were lucky to get a family room at a time in August when so many things booked. This was closest we could get to to Glen Coe.Positives were free parking,OK location, helpful and friendly staff on arrival, nice breakfast.Place is tired and not terribly clean, sparsely furnished -very basic .We didn’t like the look of the restaurant so drive 10 minutes into town which had a good choice of restaurants and stores

A standard pub B&B in a convenient location and with good car parking at the rear. Our room (no 6) was a good size with very basic decor, but there was no wardrobe and nowhere to hang any coats or other clothes. The evening meals in the bar were Ok and the breakfast was cooked to order and very nice. We trie to check out aafter breakfast at 09.30 beause we had a long drive ahead, but no-one was available to sort out our bill and, frustratingly, we were kept waiting for 20 minutes.

We were a party with a toddler and were made to feel most welcome. The food was delicious, atmosphere friendly and the resident dog sealed it for the wee one.

Owners trying to bring the place up to date but it's still in need of a bit of tidying up at the moment. Comfortable enough though. Service was a little slow when the bar/restaurant was busy, probably needed one more person on service. Great location, easy to access some of the beautiful local countryside.

A great area of natural beauty a good hotel with great staff and good food

Very basic room, unfortunately the address details led us to an incorrect town. Dinner took quite a while to come but was nice. I thought both the room rate and food prices were high.

Hotel is a bit run down . Dessets sat on the bar all day & night but cost £4.95!
Log fire on in he bar when we went in but left to go out . Felt rushed to order good.
No one to make breakfast so the lady that was in to clean the bar made it .
She had a nice attitude & did what she could .12 people she made breakfast for.
Bed was comfortable was the good thing about the stay.

First night was fine, staff friendly, as they were throughout our stay. Our main problem was that our room was not cleaned one of the days, with the bins overflowing and beds not made etc. The overall impression was one of neglect, which is such a shame as this hotel is in a superb position in one of the most picturesque villages in Scotland.

Nice pub in small attractive village. Has a few rooms. Stayed here a couple of years ago and a bit run down in the meantime. But comfortable. Staff are very efficient and pleasant. Pub food is good quality and reasonably priced. It is a good pub with accommodation in a beautiful area.

The Inn itself is little more than a pub with rooms above it. Sadly, 2 of the 7 rooms (6 & 7 - I stayed in 6) are directly above the bar so if youre looking for a quiet village out of the way, this isnt really it. Theres little to nothing in Strathyre and I booked this place as I couldnt find an available short notice B&B in nearby Callandar, though its a short car journey to Callandar itself. The room was basic and old fashioned including the CRT portable TV and radio alarm clock akin to items Bruce Forsyth wouldve offered as prized in the Generation Game.Breakfast wasnt up to much, I had very watery poached eggs and my wife had scrambled eggs with enough butter to cause a coronary. On the upside it was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable though it did take until 00:30 for music bleeding up from the bar to die down and offer any quiet.

This was the only room available for a hundred miles. No tv, the wifi didn't work in our room, and the bathroom was across a public hall from the bedroom. Room was comfy and clean tho and the breakfast was good. Hotel staff was super-friendly and if you don't mind roughing it this is a nice hotel.

Convenient to the road if passing through. As noted, staff are friendly, food is fine, inn condition could be improved a bit. Wireless only works near the pub.
