Stayed in a family room which was a spacious apartment. We had requested a room with a view and got a a top floor with amazing views over lake and the mountains. Kids enjoyed trampoline in the backyard. Staff is very hospitable and there were plenty of free parking.

Check in was prompt & straightforward, & we were greeted in a friendly and helpful and efficient way. Our room was sparse but functional, although facing the road it was noisy especially with trucks rolling by during the night. Breakfast was nicely presented and tasty. The dinner menu was limited but also tasty. For what we paid I might have expected a little more comfort but otherwise we were happy.

The snap was super friendly! We have to check in late and they are very accommodating. The room was super clean, and the bed was Comfortable! Breakfast was light but good! Definitely worth the stay! Would highly recommend! Also, the view is top-notch!

The hotel is right on the water with great views from the room and the dining room. They put us up in the presidential suite when we expected and paid for a simple room. I wish that we had been able to spend more time here.

Seems to be family run hotel in a popular ski area. It was very quiet when I was there, but they were so friendly, my room had a great view, and if you are there for multiple days, it is perfect.

This was a great place for us to relax. There was more room than a typical hotel and the kitchenette allowed us to prepare our own dinner. The staff were friendly, the breakfast delicious, and free parking was a bonus!

Had a wonderful three-night stay here to use as a base for Trolltunga. The room (apartment) was much more than we were expecting, lovely food and very helpful and friendly staff.Could happily have stayed there for longer.

Amazing view from the room and balcony. The whole area is stunning. The room we got was like an apartment with a loft and kitchen with all equipment, including dishwasher. The restaurant had a basic menu with food that was totally OK. Pizza, nachos with chicken or minced meat etc. The breakfast buffet was acceptable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all a great stay!

I liked the rooms. The supper looked good but we had ate before checking in. Thinking the breakfast would be the same and was disappointing because there didn’t seem to have as must if a selection.

About one hour to Odda and two hours to Folgefonni National Park for blue ice hiking.There are five to seven beds in each room. So it's suitable for a big family but a little bit expensive for one or two persons per room. Outside view is beautiful.

Hordatun is in an incredible location and we’d highly recommend requesting a room at the front to watch the scenery from your balcony! The room we were in - 111 was well equiped if you were to book for a short or long stay. With a reasonably stocked kitchen, lots of space to hang gear and a comfortable couch to relax on. Whilst we found the room met our expectations the wonderful welcome and consistently attentiveness if front of house staff member Anne really made an impression. Such a lovely, happy, friendly host Anne gave the impression she’d do anything possible to make sure we had a great experience. The wifi was a bit hit and miss but whilst on holiday enjoying the view who cares! We ordered pizza for our late lunch early dinner and it was delicious!! Thanks Anne we will always remember your kindness when we think of our trip to Røldal.

Such a unique hotel; unbelievable view from the room of the lake. Location is amazing. The service feels like a bed and breakfast versus a hotel. Anna was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was great. Sad to stay just one night.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating The room was clean and the kitchenette really good if you like to cook your own meal. Heads up- this hotel is not in Odda but 35 min east in Roldal. Still in Odda community though

This hotel is right on the main road with an absolutely stunning view. Staff was very friendly, we had dinner and breakfast and food was quite good. The exterior needs a bit of paint but the room was huge with beds for two in a loft, two in a private room and a pull out bed to sleep two more.

From the moment we walked into the lobby we were welcomed and sensed an overall comforting vibe.Our apartment was spacious and inviting. The views were spectacular from every window. We sat on the deck and experienced the panoramic scene. Our dinner was delicious and plentiful. The beds were delightfully comfortable. Overall a very positive experience and found it difficult to pack up and leave! Thank you !!

The check in is after 3pm as it says on the website. We arrived around 1pm, and there was no one to greet us until 2pm when the dining area opened. Overall it was a comfortable stay at an amazing location. If you are sensitive to car noise, you might want to get a room behind the main building.

Our assigned apartament exceeded my expectations ! It was big, roomy, clean, modern, the view of the mountains and water was nice, it was very quiet, the kitchenette was a so helpful. Our beds were at the second floor (( steep stairs, though ). My 10 year old son appreciated and enjoyed jumping on the trampolines a lot . Breakfast was not great, not a lot of variety, but OK. My family and I would stay there again, for sure . From reading other reviews i understand that each unit is independently owned so perhaps all are not the same however from what i saw they all looked great. For the comfort we had, the price was right. You can not go wrong with this hotel.
