PHENOMENAL hotel! Location cannot be beat - literally right on the beach. Hotel is immaculate and has a really cool modern vibe. Awesome rooftop patio with great food. One of my favourite hotel stays in France. highly highly recommend if you are staying in Biarritz and want a really beautiful hotel in a great location on the beach!

The Hotel la Plage is not a hotel. It is a building with very basic and tired rooms that charges expensive rates that have needed renovation for maybe 20 years. (I travel all over Europe) The welcome on Reception was great and so was the bed and pillos. So an excetional sleep! I was kindly upgraded with ocean views and small balcony and the winner is the location. The building is literally on the front with the sound of the waves. Sadly the bathroom had dirt going back from the last guest to built up dirt over many years and needs a deep clean ( photos available) But again great welcome from fluent English speaking guy on reception! Thanks

We LOVED Hotel de la Plage. The rooms and bathrooms are pretty basic, but definitely splurge on the room with a balcony and a view. Hearing the waves at night and waking up to a direct view of the beach for the price is completely worth it. I will always come back here!

When staying here you are literally paying for the location. For how much you pay defiantly was not worth it . The overall cleanliness of the property could be a lot better as my feet stick to the floor . In the week we stayed the housekeeping team did a very poor job at cleaning our room and didn’t change our towels once we had to ask. There is also no hairdryer ,ironing board or minibar fridge or anything else to make a long stay easy. Would not return.

It's France and it's Biarritz! No, you will not be the only one there, yes, there is a night life and yes the hotel is on the street. No Parking at the hotel but plenty to choose from underground in town. (Count about $20 per 24hrs. Download upandgo app before getting there if you want to make it easier on yourself) Restaurants are literally below the hotel and the promenade as well. Overall, great stay and will stay there again.

This was not value for the money. The bed was cheap and noisy, the air was moist and it was not a personal touch at all. The good thing was the location and friendly staff but it couldn’t make up the rest this time

The hotel doesn’t have a lift and is a little run down. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a disappointment. But the location and the views make up for any shortcomings.

Everything was good and a beautiful view from the balcony . We had a family room and was practically 2 rooms which was great . The only thing was on the photo the balcony looks large but it's only small but still a beautiful view .

Very nice location. My room was nice with a beautiful view of the Sea as expected. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be that there was not a lift and I had to take my luggage down 2 flights of stairs in the morning as I left early. There is no one at the front desk from 9:30pm-9:30am if one needs assistance.

Hotel is in a wonderful location, no lift so be aware if you have heavy bags, remember you need to book breakfast the night before you cannot just turn up hoping to be served. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Hotel is a bit tired looking but was ideal for our needs. Our room had a great beach/sea view. No aircon but fans in the room help and also drown out any outside noises. Shutters also help to blacken room. It is expensive for what it is but couldn't fault the location.

Lovely hotel next to the beach. Very friendly and helpful reception. Good size room cleaned daily. Only negative is the breakfast - really just a selection of breads and quite expensive. Perfect location for bars, restaurants and shops and all beaches are within an easy walk. Biarritz car parking is an experience - best option is to get a weekly ticket from the Casino car park office. Stayed for a week and would recommend the Hotel de la Plage to anyone.

Delightful small hotel right above the beach (a private beach in its own cove - the Old Port). A charming walk through the old streets from the town centre down to the former port, now a small beach. The large beach is along the bay.

The room had a horrible loo that made a noise like a washing machine when it was flushed. All the rooms it seems were badly in need of sound proofing as you could hear the plumbing and people noises in adjacent rooms. Shower drain also a bit smelly. A kettle in the room would have ben nice but there wasn't one. On the plus side the staff were super helpful in getting me a blanket, then a small heater, as the weather got colder. They were generally very helpful with local information too.
