Pay little extra stay some where more nice and clean !!

Great experience. Really friendly and nice people. Would recommend.

Room smelt like smoke and musty, very old dusty heater made me cough, thin walls with neighbours phone vibrating every few minutes through the wall (put it on sleep mode!!!), rock hard thin pillows - instant headache, fire alarm flashing red every 2 secs above the bed, goes through the eyelids. Impossible to sleep. Worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel. I know you get what you pay for, but come on. I don’t mind old decor etc but there is a limit. This was torture.

Will be sending a letter of complaint once able to access computer.

It was convenient as we were going to the bear grills experience at the NEC.
Lovely staff.

Room was right next to the front door.
I’d the hotel
Head board was against the door to the entrance.
Very noisey all night.
People drinking outside the window
Didn’t sleep much at all.
People talking and shouting on and off all night when coming in.
Door constantly banging shut, when people was coming in and out
Deliveries at 7am right next to our window.
The room was cold
Toilet seat was broken on arrival
Slide of when using first time.
So had to toilet seat on.
Was late at night to complain.
As arrived late evening
Just wanted to rest.
However that didn’t happen.
Tv remote didn’t work only on and off
So couldn’t really watch tv
The purpose of the visit was to have a relaxing weekend.
We was booked for 2 nights Friday-Sunday
However we checked out Saturday morning and didn’t want to return!

TV was broken, no 5G signal and the WiFi literally dropped out every 30 seconds. Shower pressure was very poor and stayed warm for about 5 minutes before turning cooler again. Bed was uncomfortable. Staff were friendly and service was good.

Stayed here a number of times over the last couple of years but this year it really has gone downhill.
Firstly they insist on taking your bank card from you and take a picture of the details before returning it. If you refuse they don’t let you stay.
Secondly the room cleanliness has deteriorated. This first room I was giving someone had left present in the toilet (still there after 2 flushes). The second room looked a lot cleaner with hot chocolate and biscuits. Nice touch.
I went to the bar and had one drink then back to my room for a hot chocolate. The cup was dirty.
The receptionist was lovely and very apologetic stating that the toilet was down to a backflow problem (on the first floor?). The dirty cup was down to the housekeepers time in each room reduced?
If the cleanliness of the room is this bad what is the kitchen like I wonder
Lastly the WiFi is poor. Used to be ok

In need of renovation, bed uncomfortable, could feel every spring! The window didn't close in one room and there was a torn carpet in other room. Breakfast was good. This hotel is a pretty average budget option.

Wifi was unable to reach my room and bed was uncomfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful but I wouldn't stay again.

The smell of damp in the room and strong smell of paint

We stayed here for our stop over from the NEC. The food was lovely in the restaurant however that cannot be said for the room. The room was very very cold with a small electric wall heater. We did get moved to an alternative room, that was just as cold and ended up with an oil heater as extra just to heat a small family room. In the new room the shower trim had fallen off and was lying on the floor. Whilst we enjoyed the bar/restaurant we would not be returning to stay at this hotel again.

Hotel staff need to smile now and again, all the staff looked like they really didn’t want to be there. A good morning and a smile will go a long way. The Hotel looks very tired, paint coming off the walls and generally run down. The stair wells going upstairs stunk of cigarette smoke and the upstairs hall smelt of weed. The location is good and stunning views from the rear of the Hotel.

Great staff, food good, lovely location

Staff friendly and helpful. Very good value for the facilities. A little tired in places but effort has been made to present as well as possible and clean. Restaurant had a good atmosphere and staff provided good friendly service. Sat and relaxed in front of fire after our meal and it was a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Overall - excellent value. Receptionist most helpful and friendly too.

Pleasant lobby with nice smelling candle, nice room, very nice bar and restaurant

Looking very tired, room 326 had a tiny electric radiator and Tuesday on arrival was freezing cold and radiator couldnt warm room up.
Complained and a portable electrical radiator was provided which helped.

People being warned of potential vehicle content theft as shows on at NEC
Lots cctv but ………

Very dated with poor maintenance - damp walls in corridor and curtains hanging off at both ends in room - bed comfy but definitely can see why this was cheap compared to others in the area

Great place to stay - clean, comfortable & with a pub too !!
Food I thought was expensive, so just had a few beers.
Will stay again if I need to stay in the area again👍

Very conveniently located for NEC. Fairly comfortable. Food very average. Car parking very good and close to pub and other eateries. Could do with new carpets in some areas.

Ok hotel for a night or two. However, the staff is not very service minded, and not very helpful.
I stay there only for the price you pay for it

My friend and I stayed for one night, Saturday the 8th Jan 2024.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. we had a large room.. a few issues.. wall paper was coming off the wall behind the bed, toilet seat was loose, the heaters were old. worked after a while the room became warm. the hall way was cold and plaster coming off . It needs a bit of TLC. but would stay again..

It was ok, but for the week our team was there, they had no hot water in the showers.
This was reported and still no hot water.
Our company Van had been broken into, and apparently it’s a hot spot for vans. Another set of vans broken into a couple of weeks ago.

Nice place, we stayed overnight before flying from Birmingham airport. Quiet location. Comfy bed and the room has a desk which is good if you need to do work. All in all, no complaints.

Good cheap, no frills digs. Good nights sleep and good value for money, but not the best in quality.
3.0
The place was freezing cold , and the further down the corridor your room the colder it got.
3.0
Nice staff , couple issues with room . Zero degrees outside , walking into the room couldn’t have been much warmer . Old style electric radiator that was slow to warm the room and an old fashioned loudly ticking manual timer fitted to it . So essentially the choice became sleep or put up with the cold . Groundfloor rooms suffer with paper thin walls and more importantly , ceilings . Rooms could also do with curtains , feels quite and bleak cold in terms of decor .
Positives , comfy bed , good shower , decent wifi , good size TV . Food was good in the pub too .

But of a dump, very uncomfortable bed, unclean bathroom with the glass shower door hanging by a thread. Nobody on reception to help with issues. Breakfast in the morning is very limited if you don’t eat meat but you still get charged £12.95 even though half of the menu isn’t available to you. Very poor Hotel with clueless staff that wonder around with no direction at all. The only decent member of staff was the woman behind the bar in the evening. I would t go there again if they paid me.

good food and bar, good quality for the price, useful for NEC. good parking. helpful staff.

I just amazed that with a little tidy up it would be great, as in redecoration, so a proper rub down, and paint.
Front door had a batten starting to depart.
Insude thevroom was good, ever so slight mould roundvthe shower tray, byt the wrong shower hose was fitted so the shower head keft falling out the holder , silly really room 125
4.0
On first impression the outside looked nice but as walking down the corridor the paint was flaking and looks like damp and mould on the ceilings. The food was very nice.
The bed was comfortable and the shower room was very clean.
4.0
Lovely location, fantastic breakfast, comfy bed. Nice shower. Only little things were that the room was quite dark, needs another light and no plug sockets near beds for charging. Oh and we needed a little drink and snack after a concert (back after midnight) and the vending machine was almost empty so couldn't. All staff were lovely and helpful and we would stay again.
3.0
Very noisy so if you are looking for a good nights sleep then this place is not recommended!
3.0
Staff and restaurant were very good but our room was very noisy, the bed not very comfortable and the towels were unnecessarily changed. Good location for NEC and excellent Indian restaurant in the village.
