The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself is a “No frills” accommodation but you can’t beat the price and the location. It’s an easy walk to get to so much of the things to do/see in Papeete.

Great location for early morning Ferry. Mattress had plastic feel, like it was an inflatable air bed.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, from the nightwatchman to the normal daytime staff.
Room was a decent size and down a long corridor, so we didn't have hall noise from new arrivals waking us. But it was facing the street so traffic noise was a problem intermittently, as were the (I think) ants which crawled on us during the night.
Comfortable foyer, good WiFi and good breakfast options. Above all, 24h check-in and handy to the ferries.

Simple convenient hotel in the city, perfect base to explore the urban side of Tahiti. Great motel like price usually , yet a more upscale convenient simplre hotel experience.

Basic no frills, but clean, walkable to downtown Papeete for food/drink, and across from the ferry terminal. Nice staff with a coffee bar and cafe downstairs in the morning too.

Quirky hotel that is convenient for walking around Papeete.
Beds were comfortable and rooms spacious.
Dining at the hotel is helpful on weekends when many shops are shut
Hôtel starting to show its age with creaky floor boards
8.0 / 10.0
The hotel is centrally located, walking distance from downtown. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, including a kitchenette. Though not a five star hotel, the staff work very hard to give you a good experience.
I would recommend staying at Sarah Nui.

Our room was roach infested. The staff seemed unconcerned but did grant our request to move to another room. This room had roaches as well. In my 20 yrs of traveling, I’ve never had to deal with an infestation. Having as many roaches as we saw makes me believe there is a cleanliness issue.

The property is convenient to the downtown. It was noisy at night.

It was close to the port to catch the ferry to Moorea the following morning.

Wouldn’t like to stay my whole trip in this hotel. But it was a great place to stay for one night in order to catch the ferry in the morning. The shower and bathrooms were very clean and had very hot water. Floor boards were creaky but that was the only downside

the property is in need of being updated. the remote for the a/c needs batteries, but I got it to work. There is no where for soap and shampoo in the shower so they were on the floor next to the shower. The price is too high for this property, I wouldn't stay again.

The property is situated in a factory area. Having said that, its only a short walk to the harbourside for restaurants, bars, shops etc. I don't think you get great value for money anywhere in Papeete. The hotel is fine for a place to put your head for a night or two.

We only needed to stay one night so it was fine for a quick changeover from one island to the next. Very limited facilities nearby

Property needs a full update has it is very dated

The hotel is super close to the ferry port, which is why I booked it. The staff were welcoming. It is also quiet.
The hotel is very worn. The breakfast was nothing special - cereal and tinned fruit.

Great hotel by the waterfront! Okay, the hotel itself is a little dated, but the staff could not be more pleasant and willing to accommodate. This hotel was perfect for a stay near the water at a reasonable price.

Rest of the staff were helpful and friendly.

Property is close to the cruise port and very inexpensive. You get what you pay for in this case.

The photographs of the property showing the bedrooms, bathrooms and general description are grossly misleading. The hotel was dirty, unclean and had a dilapidated look both inside and outside.

I had a very comfortable 4 night stay at Hotel Sarah Nui. My room was spacious and had all the necessary amenities except a safe deposit box. I later found out that only some rooms have this. I was able to put certain items such as my passport in the safe located in the Reception.
The staff is very pleasant. The location was excellent- a short walk to the ferry, restaurants, shops and places of interest.

Very friendly and helpful staff, rooms are big and very clean, bed was very comfortable, luminous with big windows with efficient curtains for sleeping and keeping room fresh when sunny, air cond working well. Unfortunately it feels like the walls are made of paper, we could hear our neighbors talk. Good localisation in a quiet area, easy and safe to walk around.

Hotel Sarah Nui is a barebones, hostel like hotel in an industrial area that did not feel safe. It is NOT easy walking distance to downtown or the port.

This property is a perfect stay if you travel to Moorea by ferry because it’s 5 minutes walk to it. The hotel is clean, spacious rooms and easy walkable to restaurants and shopping areas.

Industrial neighborhood. Hotel needs to renew some spaces.

The hotel is little old. Old furniture, but clean rooms. Room service excellent!! Great Wi-Fi.

The hotel is running down. It needs a renovation. However, the attitude of one of the front desk clerks needs improvement. When my wife's computer could not connect to the wi-fi, I asked the front desk for help. His first reaction was: "You didn't do it correctly." Indeed, we followed all the instructions. Later he said I didn't use the upper case, but actually I did. When the computer was slow to reboot, he said, "your memory is full." I think he mixed up the RAM and the hard drive. My profession is IT-related. At the end he could not fix the problem. Later we fixed it on our own.

Was really good for a very old hotel. Floor creaked and uneven but very clean.
Bed very comfortable.
Was very quiet so good sleep.
Could leave some little milk in fridge for the 2 coffee sachets they left.
No plug in bathroom sink.
Would stay there again for one night as walking distance to ferries.

If you are looking for basic, low frills accommodation on Tahiti, this is the place! My room was clean, with strong wifi and a great shower. However, the hotel is starting to show a bit of wear and tear, and not living up to its former glory. Some areas look like they could use a refresh and update. My reservation included breakfast daily, and it was excellent: croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, plus fresh bread, coffee/tea/juice/milk. The area around the hotel isn’t the best. Not unsafe, but kind of a commercial/industrial area. But a quick walk to the waterfront, restaurants, the ferry terminal, etc. Good value overall, compared to the prices of other accommodations in Tahiti. I would stay here again in future.

This is not a 3 stars hotel! It is the worst hotel I ever stayed at. It used to be an hospital. We arrived late and it was too late to find a new accommodation. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Stay away.
2.0 / 10.0
We only stayed one night due to our layover for Bora Bora next morning, but 7check in staff was nice, property was as expected upon arrival and location was not too far from downtown Tahiti.
The impression was downhill from entering our hotel room; bathroom toilet was not comfortable as the seat cover kept hitting our backs and we assume one of the shower doors was not installed as the door only shielded half the shower.
The most alarming part was their pillow, slightly removing the pillow covers, it was covered in unknown stains. We ended up sleeping either without pillows or our sweaters for head support.
