The property tried to charge me for a stay that I didn't have. They refused a refund for a stay that didn't occur. My bank was the only one that helped me get my money back.

Super convenient and extremely original !
A few minutes away from the park entrance, colourful cabins within which you’ll find everything you need. Easy parking right in front of your cabin.
Friendly and very helpful staff.

Bed bugs.

We couldn’t spent the night there, the place was nice and it looked clean but when we were about to go to bed, we found bedbugs. It was late so we just left but came back the next day to let the owner know. He was rude and he kicked us out of his property calling us liars and telling us he paid so cheap to complain.

9 palms was really colorful. We found that hilarious, and while the place is definitely not new And the park area could certainly be resurfaced, we received excellent service. The place was clean enough and for an inexpensive quick stay, we were very content. The room size is generous and the kitchen area was great to have.

Very good value for a sizable, well furnished and clean room (actually a little cottage with kitchenette and patio). Quiet, centrally located in 29 Palms and right on US 62 to access Joshua Tree. Friendly and accommodating ownership. Very comfortable weekend stay in a very interesting town to visit in the desert.

Very charming and quiet better than you expect when pulling in. Motel prices and simple setup but no wall sharing, ac nice and cold, good shower, newer mattress, larger fridge, microwave...no complaints here :-)

It was a nice cozy like home. I loved the colors each hotel had, it made them look unique. Also has a perfect view of the sunrise.

Perfect stay for our weekend trip! The owner and housekeeper were very nice and helpful. Clean room. About a 15min drive from Joshua Tree city, and convenient spot for National Park entrance.

The rainbow inn is welcoming and charming. It’s just off the main road beyond the hill, which you cannot miss its vibrant colors. It looks over the small town and you can see far through the plains and hills. It’s very beautiful that way, and close to the JTNP too.
My partner and I felt comfortable and happy during our stay. We are very grateful. Thank you Nick and rest of the crew.

I love the friendliness of Nick and his staff and the convenience of having our car parked just steps away from our door.I also love the quirkiness and colorful uniqueness that sets this place apart from the chain hotels. A really good experience!

Perfect for our visit to Joshua Tree National park. 1/2 mile from the entrance.
Owner/Manager was very accommodating to our late arrival.
Coffee, microwave, and fridge in our room. Plus park right next to your room.
Super comfortable bed!
Not fancy but good price, location, very comfortable.

It was very convenient to lodge when visiting Joshua Tree National Park. There were enough restaurants around. It was quiet and the room was adequately clean. Numerous things needed repair. We arrived and the bathroom sink faucet had a steady stream of water leaking. The point where the shower head screwed into the pipe had a small leak and was spraying the ceiling. The door knob on the main door needed to be tightened because it was very loose. The light over each bed needed to be be covered instead of just hanging by a wire. One of those lights was burned out upon our arrival. During our stay a new shower head was put on which did not spray the ceiling, but It was a hand held one and was just dangling down to the main bathtub faucet and had no way of being held in place where it should be. The linking faucet was changed with another used faucet which did not leak and was adequate, although the drain plug was missing and so was the pull-up stem at the back of the faucet. The very loose door knob was not fixed. . Although the cleaning lady was friendly and did a great job, and a maintenance man attempted repairs, I would not stay here again and would upgrade to a better place when going to Joshua Tree National Park in the future

Great place with quirky rooms

Loved the room, which is actually a little bungalow, which included a kitchenette. The view was great, because you are on a hill, well above the road, and you can see into the distance. The proprietor is a great guy, who I found to be extremely friendly. The motel, is very convenient to Joshua Tree Natl Park.

The owner of this property is kind and most genuine. I love the colorful decor. The location is on top of a hill with a great open view of the desert. A worthwhile stay for the money.

My first impression was that the property needs some major updates (the driveway, notably) , and it's painted in vibrant colors that may be off-putting to some, but we found our stay to be peaceful and our room spacious and clean. The sheets were crisply clean and the bed very comfortable. It suited what we needed. It's not a five star hotel, mind you, it's the epitomy of a motel. A motel run by a man who clearly loves what he has to offer. The owner was vibrant in his storytelling and offered helpful information on Joshua Tree National Park. He made our stay all the more enjoyable.

Owner was very nice. For the price, definitely better than the Motel 6 in town. Larger room with a full size fridge/freezer and kitchen area. Would stay again.

This was such a clean place and the whole staff was pleasant. Justin brought us a microwave when our room didn’t have one. I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone coming from out of town! Excellent service!

The property manager was very personable and welcoming to the area. The cottages are very cute, and have a gorgeous view of Downtown 29 Palms. First choice for a whimsy desert stay.

I'm really enjoying my time here. The staff is very friendly and inviting, encouraging an open atmosphere and easy relations. The location is within walking distance of the entire 29 Palms shopping strip, granting easy access to food and other resources. The rooms themselves are very vibrantly decorated and the beds are super comfortable. I decided to extend my stay after the first night!

yikes. Avoid. I reserved a room here, and was contacted by Expedia to contact the property to pay (Expedia has pay at property listed) or my reservation would be cancelled. I called the property and the gentleman I spoke to would not take my credit card information and Expedia also was unable to help after talking with two different representatives. My fiancé called and explained the situation, thinking the hotel owner understood the issue and he clearly did not. Instead of switching my reservation to his name, he booked an entire new room and charged him. And then proceeded to ALSO charge me for mine. And then would not refund. What a NIGHTMARE to work with this place. Disorganized, no people skills and RUDE as heck. DO NOT STAY HERE.
