The hotel said I cannot stay and never have gave me a reason why and now I have to wait 21 days to get my money back. Terrible hospitality.

Decent stay at affordable price right next to Wrigley Field. Stayed in 6 bunk bed room that was decent. Good free amenties provided like water, tea, WiFi, & towels. You can store luggage before/after stay starting at 10AM. Very friendly staff too. Kitchen & extra game room & study area as well. Whether it's a Cubs game or to check out Wrigleyville & Chicago: great hostel to stay

I travel a lot, domestic and international, and this was my first time to stay at hostel. It was a great first experience! I was in town for the Pearl Jam concert at Wrigley Field, and like a few others my age [50s], we picked Wrigley Hostel due to the location. YOU CANNOT BEAT THE LOCATION! I will say that being older, if I could request a lower bunk next time I absolutely would. Getting down was fun! :) The only inconvenience I would say is the lack of AC. I know it's an old building, but the only AC I felt was the window unit in the room. The common areas [the lounge area is wonderful!] were quite warm. Being from TX I am used to the AC going all the time in the summer. I will definitely stay here again if I travel to Chicago solo. Great experience for this first timer.

Hostel is in the heart of Wrigleyville. Everything you need is within walking distance. Public transportation is 1 block away. I've stayed here many times and everyone is very nice. I love staying here because you meet people from all over the world. Front entrance is locked, no access without key card or code. Common areas are clean. Each room is locked and requires key card to enter. I always feel safe. Parking can be tricky as it is in the neighborhood. The Hostel will provide a parking pass to park in the neighborhood but depending on the time of day and what's going on at the time it can be difficult to find parking. Very affordable

Throwing distance from Wrigley, right in the neighborhood. Friendly people, walking distance to everything.

Ideal location for going to Wrigley Field. If you're going to a ball game or concert, this would be the place to stay. The L train is two blocks away, Wrigley is two blocks away, and restaurants, stores, cvs, 7-Eleven are two blocks away.

Check in was outstanding! Easy, changed me to an easier room to walk to (I'm disabled), and received a nice tour.

It’s literally within walking distance of the stadium and public transportation.

It’s always a little weird coming into a room with five other smelly snoring dudes. But hey. It was less than $50 so…

Property was in a nice neighborhood. Staff were attentive and kept the place clean.

The hostel itself including staff was great! Super friendly and they made sure to keep the bathrooms clean. Only downside of it being a hostel is that a drunk guest tried to get in my bed in the middle of the night, which as a solo female traveller was scary. Other than that everyone minds their business! I would come again just hope for a top bunk or all female room instead.

Very friendly and easy place. Great, cheap place to stay in a busy part of Chicago, lots of stuff to do close by.

Nice stay. No issuses to say of. This was a new experience for myself. The mystery of the adventure leads me try it again. A previous owner/operater of a bed and breakfast in my home city in Wisconsin, I'd advise other travelers to try Wrigleyville Hostel. If for no other reason stay and see a cubs game. I went to see TD at the Metro.

They were very accommodating, even with me having to arrive after the staffed desk hours. Nice people, too.

This place is in a excellent area. Lots to do in a short walk with a price that is hard to beat. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and very helpful.

You get what you pay for staying at a hostel but I still expected at least somewhat more comfortable beds and didn’t expect to have to deal with a fly infestation.
Great place to meet new people and the staff is great.

Was a great place to stay and the location was near a metro station which is always helpful. However, there was a thief on the property as someone "lost" their phone when I was there and I myself lost my reserve phone too so I can't see this being a coincidence. I have contacted the property about this but they have not bothered to reply.

It was everything it was described to be. The 8 bunk room was easy going and comfortable.
2.0
Loud and gross and expensive considering it was a hostel.
2.5
The hostel is a quick walk from the Red Line, Wrigley Field, and Boystown. There's round-the-clock staff and secure access to the building and the rooms. I felt totally safe walking in the area at any time of day or night.

Great location, but filthy property. Shared bathrooms were revolting and never cleaned. My room was dirty — contained garbage from previous guests and sheets were unwashed. Mystery fluid stains on walls. Inflexible policy on changing reservation cost me hundreds of dollars. Avoid this place at all costs unless you’re looking for an overpriced and filthy “Animal House” experience.

Very good experience! Nothing like a hotel, first time going to a Hostel. The rooms were clean and the facility had a couple of activities through to do and meet other people. Bathrooms was a bit rough since we had to share with other guests. Overall, great experience! Local to a lot of bars and restaurants! Only a 20 minute drive to downtown Chicago as well! Elliot was a good host as well, provided us with all the amenities throughout the whole night.
