We stayed 3 nights at the Aditya Boutique Hotel and it was fantastic! The rooms are very clean and spacious. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor shower and the private plunge pool. The food was absolutely fabulous and the prices very reasonable. The staff were all smiles, extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served at any time of the day - which is great when youre arriving from a long flight. The only downside was that the ocean is too dangerous to swim in - but thats not the hotels fault. Not much to visit around the hotel so this is a place to stay put and relax. Would highly recommend Aditya!

This property was recommended by a colleague and I only saw information about it on the internet. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find such a lovely establishment amidst and beautiful setting. It was perfect. From all the meals we ate, to the accommodation of chairs on the beach. It was like we were all alone and it was just what we were looking for after a week of site seeing. I can't wait to return!

Stayed in a great room with a balcony, view of the beach, plunge pool / spa. Very comfortable bed, air con. Mini bar fully stocked, tea and coffee with real coffee. We also were given some fruit when we got there, which was great over the couple of days we were there. We made full use of the restaurant (fantastic meals), bar and pool. Also used the day spa.The staff were incredibly friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us.
The only downfall would be the location -It is directly on the beach, but about 3km from Hikkaduwa and 12km from Galle. A nice walk to Hikka, and tuk tuk are easy and cheap enough for either town. There is very little close to the hotel - there is a Wine store though.
Overall it was an excellent way for us to finish off our excellent holiday in Sri Lanka. We would happily stay in Aditya again.

Aditya is an amazing place. It is a cut above the rest. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but you understand why when you arrive.
We arrived late in the evening, and could not have expected a more pleasant welcome. Staff are polite, helpful, understanding, friendly and professional. Every single one of them.
The suites (a bit difficult to call them rooms when they are so large and luxurious) are incredible. Stylish, comfortable, clean. The outdoor bathroom is so spacious and gives a sense of serenity.
The food (both quality and choice) is amazing. Breakfast consists of three different set menus to choose from. You cannot mix and match, but you wish you could. You also wish you could eat it all, to do justice to the hard work of the chefs.
The pool is peaceful and practical.
The spa is amazing.
I have nothing negative to say about Aditya.
Our short stay at Aditya completed our holiday on a very positive note, and we will always remember it.
It is extremely well run, the set up of the whole place is well and truly above what you expect.

Amazing rooms in a 5 star boutique hotel. Very friendly staff. Location, there is nothing around the hotel, but short tuk tuk ride takes you to some good places. We rate this hotel as one of the best we have ever stayed in.

Aditya is lovely. The staff are wonderful - they are friendly, professional, attentive, very organized and accommodating. The property is situated right on the beach, although the ocean wasn't safe for swimming (too rough) when we were there. We stayed in one of the new suites, where we had a view of the ocean and the trees in front of it. The suite was huge, with a massive bathroom, a big veranda, and a second floor with a whirlpool. It was a lovely space. The food is overall very good. The breakfasts are huge, with an excellent fruit plate and yummy banana pancakes. The Sri Lankan breakfast was also very tasty. We had the Sri Lankan vegetarian curry most evenings. Most of the curries were really good, and they varied some of the dishes so we weren't eating the exact same thing each night. There isn't a lot to do near the hotel. You can walk on the road, but you'll be in traffic. You can take a 3-wheeler to the larger town. We opted to just enjoy the place. The only real downside is that people can smoke on the property. One breakfast, a couple was smoking in the dining area, so we had to leave. Later, the staff seemed to have asked them to not smoke there, so that was good. But people do smoke by the pool, and if you're downwind, you'll have to deal with that. It would be better if there were a smoking area, away from common areas, to accommodate everyone.

I booked a suite to celebrate my mums 60th birthday, a treat after a two week tour around the island. The best hotel I have ever stayed in, and definitely the best I experienced in Sri Lanka. Stunningly beautiful, peaceful and friendly attentive staff.
The hotel put an extra double bed in our suite and we still had loads of space for the sofa and chairs. The outside terrace with plunge pool and gold fish pond was beautiful and provided a lively place to sit for an early morning tea.
The extras in the room were amazing, more than we could ask for, great turn down service with yummy chocolates.
We arranged to have yoga with the recommended yoga teacher Sammna. He was fantastic and we ended up having a lesson every day of our trip. A real highlight of the day and able to do on our terrace.
The food was fantastic, the rice and curry was the best I had on the island.
We were treated so well by all the staff, who made us feel so at home and remembered all our little habits. A fantastic place and we will remember for a long time.

This was our second visit to Aditya and we never go anywhere twice! We chose to return because we knew that there is nothing that compares to this amazing boutique hotel. The service is unbelievable, the comfort is off the charts and the food is just outstanding. The hotel is a short 2 hour drive from the airport in Columbo (which was easily arranged through Aditya) and is mostly on the new highway that runs south along the coast. Being able to get there easily was a factor that we considered when we decided to return. Our son also has a nut allergy and the hotel staff is always very accommodating and careful with his food allergy. The resort is very small and they make you feel like you are the only guest - your every need is taken care of immediately. My wife enjoyed the spa services and my son and I took a tuk tuk to Unawatuna for surfing lessons. We all enjoyed family time hanging out by the pool and walking on the beach. I highly recommend a visit to Aditya!

Aditya is a stunning hotel with a great location on the beachfront. The hotel staff were excellent from the off and we were lucky enough to get a free upgrade which did not disappoint. The beach view from our huge room was great and the room itself felt really high quality. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and the hotel extras (like free pillow menu!) were a really nice touch. The location is just outside the main area of Hikkaduwa (a 5-10min drive) and a 15min drive from Galle which is convenient. Highly highly recommended!

Nice hotel but to small for children who had little to occupy them other than the pool as the sea was very rough. We went to the hotel to relax on our 45th wedding anniversary and the staff treated us very well with a welcome cake and 20 coloured tee lights in our room. If you want a sea view ask for a room away from the pool which is surrounded by trees.

I stayed here for three nights with two adults and two older kids. We had an enormous room with a huge bathroom, dressing room. large balcony and...a rooftop jacuzzi with an ocean view! The staff treated us like royalty, and we even had our own butler. We could take our meals wherever and whenever we liked - in our room, on the beach, by the pool or in the open air restaurant. The food was amazing! In early April it did not feel crowded at all, it felt like our own private beach with friends.

We had a good stay. The higher rooms are more picturesque and quieter. The staff are very friendly and eager to please. The restaurant has delicious food esp the Srilankan beef and chicken curry dish. However the menu needs more Sri Lankan dishes added to it. Rather than the usual lamb chops, pasta etc.The hotel opens out to the beach, but this stretch of the beach is not very conducive to swimming, better to take a tuk tuk to Hikkaduwa beach.overall we had a good stay.

We were in need of a tranquil break and chose this Hotel for our 25th anniversary after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. The room we had, Sakra suite overlooks the pool and has a wonderful view of the ocean beyond swaying coconut palms and the beach. The room is enormous and very comfortable with a large balcony and a huge bathroom which is open to the air. There is a cold water plunge pool on the balcony. It was fun watching the lightning displays at night whilst sitting on the loo.The room is air conditioned but we found it better to sleep with the air off and the overhead fans switched on.The best thing was not having any times for breakfast, they were happy to serve this any time you want, for the first 3 days we didnt make it down before 1.00 pm but this was no trouble. The swimming pool is wonderful which is just as well because there is too much current to swim safely on the beach. To go swimming in the sea is a tuktuk ride 10 mins to Hikkaduwa beach or 25 mins to Unawatuna beach. Both nice beaches but in much more built up touristy locations. We much preferred staying in Aditya and making the journey to go to the beach.Galle fort is a 20 min tuktuk ride, for nice jewellery shops and a good selection of restaurants. We got to know Neil and he showed us many interesting sites, the Turtle sanctuary, the Sunami photo museum and Water for Elephants on the way to Galle where for £12.00 each you can ride and bathe Rohan a 40 year old elephant. Great fun.

Aditya is a mix of luxury, zen and nature. Only 12 huge rooms, on a beautiful beach, totally quiet. Food is good, service is excellent. For ones who look for a place to rest, that place is perfect.

Hotel was nice but overpriced by about 45 percent. Food and beverage was grossly overpriced as well, which if excellent could be overlooked. However, food was under seasoned and ranged from mediocre to terrible. No outside restaurant options nearby.
