This hotel is only two stories tall and very quaint. The pool area is small, but beautiful. The service at this hotel is second to none. Valentina and Enrique are fabulous and an asset to the hotel. There is nothing they would not help you with. They would do it with a smile. The restaurant staff was very attentive, and the food was fantastic, the cleaning crew just as friendly and efficient. The rooms were amazing. The hotel is not perfect. The rooms are a little on the small side. It is not a modern hotel by any standard and still use a physical key. There is no elevator so pack lightly. Highly recommended and I will stay here again.

The cafeteria staff is wonderful and the food as well. The housekeeper does keeps the room neat and clean.

Sweet place, clean and tidy, attentive and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Were given a one bedroom suite which was a surprise, but didn't have any outside space. Loads of room inside though. Handy for park and good local restaurants.

This is a beautiful property, I spent a couple of nights here and it was a perfect way to end an amazing trip, the staff could not have been friendlier, service was excellent, the rooms were spotlessly clean. There is so much lovely artwork around the hotel. Breakfast was amazing, there were also lunch and dinner options. From check in to check out I had a great stay and would highly recommend this place. It's so peaceful and relaxing.

Quaint property, as advertised. Good amenities, restaurants close by. A bit of a hike if you are walking to the main market area, but we used Uber to get around and always within $5-10$ to get anywhere needed.

Room was clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and helped organise a taxi and advise on walking into the city (only a 40 min walk into main plazas). Didn’t use the pool during my time but appreciated the pool towels being provided.

A perfect hotel to either start your Costa Rica trip, to recover from a long flight, or end your trip with a bit of relaxation before a long flight. Was a little apprehensive about the location at first, having never experienced San Jose, but relaxed soon. The hotel is nice and quiet, with a very relaxed vibe. Great breakfast offering, and a great team onsite taking good care of guests (really went out of their way to help and assist us). Relaxing by the pool was great (even if the pool is VERY cold). Only recommendation for a better experience is for tea/coffee facilities to be provided in the standard rooms (assuming these are in the studio rooms).

Staff was very friendly, breakfast was amazing. It is a quiet area and easy to walk around. My room was on the ground level looking to the pool, so it was a bit noisy. Maybe they can improve the condition of the windows so that they are sound-proof. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

For the value this is a great property. Everything is very clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. The inner courtyard with the pool feels like an oasis in a big city. My only complaint was the service on the food. Servers were friendly but service was a bit slow and orders got confused. If it weren't for that I would give it 5 stars for friendlines, value and cleanliness!!

Love this hotel! Wonderful staff, nice spacious rooms, food at the restaurant is amazing (prepared fresh), large portions, very filling, delicious and reasonably priced. Restaurants around the area are more expensive, so eating at the hotel was convenient and cost effective as we were travelling for a tennis tournament. Plus you get to eat poolside and the pool area is really lovely. Will definitely recommend and stay again :)

We stayed at this facility for one (1) week. The facility is very clean especially the bathroom. I like the flooring of the room. The kitchen unit is well-equipped and very clean. The bed and beddings are so clean and very comfortable. The daily breakfast is very healthy. We have very good WiFi connection. The staff are very client/customer oriented. The hotel is situated in a very quiet location. There are many very good restaurants within few meters of walking. We can't ask for anything better. We will definitely be staying at this facility again. OVERALL: EXCELLENT FACILITY.

Our first night in the country was here. We thought it was very relaxing and enjoyable. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The pool was nice--though a bit bracing for long swims. But the sauna was also available, however, so going back and forth to the pool was revitalizing. The restaurant was nice. Breakfast was our only meal there, but we also bought a decent bottle of wine from them the night we got in. We spent quite a bit of time sitting around by the pool that evening and the next morning and were refreshed by departure the next day.

La Sabana is a beautiful hotel located in walking distance of Sabana park, the Costa Rican Art museum, and lots of delicious restaurants. The rooms were a great size and we liked that it was apartment style with a small living room and kitchen. The breakfasts were delicious and included in the price so a great deal! It was perfect for our 3 days in San Jose.

Great boutique hotel with a pool and breakfast included. Off one of the main roads so very quiet. No late night food (8pm) but delivery is plentiful. Room had a kitchen, clean and wifi worked great. Enjoyed the time there. Staff friendly and speaks great English.

I found that the hotel was fine in all respects. Good wifi, nice breakfast, pleasent service, efficient checkin, reasonable price. Parking is limited and when I checked out they had to move a few cars around for me to leave but it only added 5 or so minutes. Also the room doe.s not have a safe which I like in my room in Costa Rica for my passport etc. Pool, room, bathroom and bed are all nice.

Lovely boutique hotel with nice amenities in the room and a beautiful pool area. The breakfast was included and was full service even though they said continental. We were pleasantly surprised. Not right in downtown but a quick $5 taxi ride got us to the restaurants and attractions.
