The property itself is old, the rooms don’t even match the pictures they have on website it needs updating. The kitchen is outside and it’s dusty and untidy. The TV in our room didn’t even work luckily we were only there to shower and sleep. There was so much noise from the renovations going on downstairs. I know I left the sign out on our door by accident for 3 days and no one went to clean and change our sheets, they should always knock then enter to check if the guests are even ok. The sink in the bathroom had no centre thing and you can see mould through it. They should at least put bottles of waters in the mini fridge for guests. The customer service is very poor they whisper in Samoan and not a smile. A smile is very inviting especially when you pay for a service, it makes the customer wanting to come back again. The housekeeper at least smiles so I let her a small tip. Somethings get overly priced but the service is poor! SMILE 😊 IT’S FREE😊

Moatoga is not bad afterall. The aircon and hot water were our most important things and the staff were helpful. We really enjoyed our 3 nights stay. And thanks for the Airport Transfer that was waiting patiently for us. It’s very handy to all the shops in town and the market. We will book it again next time.

The room was fine for two people, with a big and comfy bed that made for a pleasant stay. It also had a little kitchenette, which was a great addition. However, the bathroom was quite small, and the sink seemed like it was going to fall off the wall, with no space to place toiletries.
The air conditioning smelled like it needed a good filter clean, which was a bit off-putting. The location is very convenient if you want to stay in town, as it's directly opposite the Fugalei Market. However, parking can be tight when it's busy.
Reception was not open on arrival, but we received an envelope with instructions. There is always a security guard on duty, and the one present on our checkout morning was particularly helpful. He assisted with our bags since my dad couldn’t help me.
Overall, while the room itself was comfortable and the location convenient, there were some areas needing improvement, particularly in the bathroom and air conditioning.

This property is great if you're a visiting Samoan with lots of family stuff on. If you are going to be out all day and just need a place to stay Moatoga is the place. Right opposite the market, everything is walking distance. The car park gets full but there's always someone there to help you park!

Location convenient to town and markets.
Linen dirty, made my skin itchy and wasn’t changed during my two week stay even when I requested it.
Took a $150 cash key deposit but refused to refund it as I was leaving on an early morning flight before office hours.

Reception is hostile and racist. No complaints desk or manager on site or refund.Demand of cash bond from guests. No free wifi or conference services for guests.Complex is doing carpentry on site and other services not ideal for hotel.Rooms are in better condition but poor tv connectivity and limited channels. The staff need further training on tourism and hospitality and can't handle international guests.

The room they put us in was outdated and very dirty. We made a complaint to the manager who moved us to another room and after spending a few days there.. the toilet and bathroom got flood. It was dirty, smelly and outdated.. Will not recommend this to anyone

Good location close to markets
Nice to have a warm shower
Sadly one bedframe was broken meaning very uncomfortable for my daughter
The aircon wasnt functional.
Other guests were extremely noisy late into the night and then again early in the morning.
I am glad i was only there one night

Hotel is hidden from the main road, but room was big and clean. Grocery stores are all working distance. Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are only cleaned on Tuesdays. It's not a resort, but for the World Distance Paddling Championships, it was a great location and price.
I would stay there again!

Love and adore the stay with Moatoga. Clean, enough parking, friendly family business. Just love it...it's a home away from home setting.

I did not even like anything in that hotel, the room was dirty, no room service, the bed was disgusting there were hairs on the pillows, sheets and the towels had stains on them. The shower floor is awful. The room door needs a padlock for tourists safety and so much more needs to be improved. I was not safe in that hotel building.

Was disappointed that my room had no microwave while my friend had a microwave.
Also was disappointed that no explanation was given on check out time as we were charged 30 tala each when we checked out. This should have been explained when we checked in.
However the positive aspects the room was clean and amenities like tea, coffee and bathing shampoo soap etc was great.
Good location and may use hotel again when I do visit samoa.
Thank you

Convenient, clean, good size room and bathroom and helpful staff. It was perfect for our last night in Apia and the staff organised a taxi very early in the morning to meet our 6am flight. Would recommend!

I don’t trust the other reviews here. The lodging was poor in every aspect: poor location and security, the room hadn’t been properly swept and there was water on the floor and hairs in the bed, and no peace and quiet whatsoever. The walls are literally paper-thin; I listened to an intimate couple to my left, and a television blaring until midnight to my right. Construction is taking place all day, a feature not listed on their website or on Hotels.com. Even checking in was difficult; the check-in desk is inside a restaurant entrance across from the actual hotel, without clear or visible signage. I’ve stayed in several other places in Apia for the same price that are MUCH nicer, and feel the website and reviews are very misleading about this property.

We were looking for a basic, comfortable place close to the downtown area and this was a very good choice There is also a very good restaurant on the premises.

Booked for somewhere cheap and cheerful to stay on our last night in Samoa. It was a little hard to find at first (main entrance is around the corner)The woman that checked us in seemed confused and flustered by our arrival, but was pleasant and checked us in. We were told our room is in a different site, and that she would drive us there in convoy. This wasnt a problem, but it turns out that the other site is 15 minutes away from Apia, and we werent informed of this when we checked in. It was a slightly better location for the airport, however we had dinner reservations in Apia which we were a bit more pressed for time to get to.It was very quiet in the other site, but I was reassured there were other guests staying there, and we saw cars parked there later on.Room was clean and spacious, bed comfy and bedding clean. Useful little kitchenette area, and hot water in the shower. No wifi in the areaWe left at 4am to get our flight back to Auckland, so served us well for our last night.
