My fiancé and I stayed for four nights and had the most incredible time. The views, service, location and quietness was AMAZING. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants to have a great time in Sayulita

Beautiful quiet Boutique hotel. All seven guestrooms were individual and private. With beautiful views of the bay. Although the drive through the jungle seemed remote, it was merely a five minute walk to Playa de los Muertos and another five minutes walk Saluylita. We enjoyed the chef and his breakfast, as well as his dinners and wonderful guacamole. Although it was up on a hill, and the walk was steep, it was definitely worth it. We had a welcome reception with help with our luggage as well as assistance in anyway that we could.

Staff is nice, helpful and friendly.
The chef personalized any dish in the menu as they prepare it the moment you order. Food is tasty, fresh and beatufully presented.
We spent six days in this hotel and enjoyed every minute.
Cinthia helped us to arrange a tour to Islas Marietas and whale watching, we were picked up and dropped off. It was fantastic!
We walked 5 min to the beach, Playa de los Muertos, it has all the services. We had the best charcoal-grilled fish skewer!
The fact that the Villa is embedded in a hill, surrounded by nature, tropical trees and facing to the ocean, you will hear the ocean waves, wind and perhaps a family of badgers fighting or looking for food out of your room at night.
Expect dirt and bumpy roads to get to the Villa, we had a flat tire on a rental car and paid eight bucks to get it fixed by the gas station.
If you want to explore the area, San Pancho is another town for dinning out and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
Playa Carricitos is a virgin beach and a walk distance for a perfect sunset shooting.
As much as the property needs some TLC, everything was working well in our villa.

We loved this spot! It is beautiful and exotic only 7 palapa's hidden in the edge of the jungle with sea views! within a 10 min walk to a sweet beach with drink and snacks! It is about a 15 min walk into town so a great idea to rent a golf cart. The staff is lovely and breakfast is perfect!

The food was not great. Staff very nice and friendly but it wasn’t as nice as the pics made it out to be.

The views from our bungalow were absolutely incredible!!! The room is stunning. The staff was soo nice. They gave you a complimentary drink upon arrival, as well as, a complimentary handmade continental breakfast. You eat near the common area pool and the view is one of the prettiest we saw in Sayulita.
The downside.. the waves are sooo loud haha. You are literally right above them which is cool but its like the ultimate sound machine. I would definitely stay again but only for 1-2 nights bc it kept waking up my boyfriend.
Lastly, if you have tonsss of luggage -- get ready to hike up a ramp to your room. We were fine with light carry ons but just FYI.

We loved staying here and plan on going back. It is a solid walk from the town over rough roads so not for everyone, but we really appreciated having a quiet place (away from town) with amazing views.
The rooms, staff, and service were all fantastic.

The staff at the hotel were gracious and professional. Unfortunately, it is not worth the prices they charge. For me, the property is much more remote than it seems from Expedia. You must walk back and forth on a steep, sometimes slippery road to get to the central part of town. At night, you must do this with a flashlight. The property itself is also on a steep, steep hill. The rooms are covered with a thatched hut roof that allows all manner of bird poop and dead bugs to fall through on the floor and linens. Housekeeping must come in daily to keep things somewhat clean. For the price per room per night, I thought the mattress in our room was old and lumpy, and the linens could have been more luxurious. It was a beautiful setting with stunning views, but I would not return. I mainly want folks to know what they are signing up for.

Hot at night in room, lots of ants and mosquitos (December) . Super friendly/ helpful staff. Chef was cool. Food ok/good.
Town of Sayulita is a trash can .. best to stay and enjoy the view or venture to remote beaches. Bring a car

The views from the property are stunning and the bedrooms are beautiful however, we had many issues. The hotel is in the jungle with access from a very bumpy road and then a very steep climb that was not adequately described in the listing. The bedroom is well air-conditioned but the separate bathroom and closet have no AC and were extremely hot no matter the time of day. The property also lists itself as "Hotel and Spa" and "beachfront" which are not correct. There is no spa and the beach is a good walk or a drive away. We were told that we could call and get a golf cart to get up the hill but when we did that with 20 minutes notice, we received no reply. For $255/night we expected a very different experience.

The check-in was horrific. We arrived to the property and discovered a very steep trail to get to the top. There is no front desk. A young lady who did not speak much English greeted us. We were sweating through our shirts however, they seemed to take their time in welcoming us before providing a key to our room so we could dry off and be in an air-conditioned area. It was very bizarre.

Property was great, rooms comfortable and unique. We could have enjoyed the property if the manager had been more informative if meal options - they relied too much on WhatsApp notification which were incomplete and too late.

This property has a unique view it’s hidden from others so there’s no noise around other than the animals outside and the music coming from other places. Be prepared to hike up to it it’s up on top and you need to leave your car on the bottom of the hill. Definitely a nice experience

The property is gorgeous with some of the most beautiful and charming rooms I have ever stayed in. The staff was warm and made sure to help with any questions/requests I had. It was a special touch to be able to have breakfast and dinner with Chef Chano's amazing meals, and have that sense of community with other guests. Other than an unexpected visitor in the form of a local fauna- everything was above and beyond expectation and I will be happy to return to 7 Lunas.

The staff are very friendly and kind. However, this place is very overpriced. I stayed in Sayulita a year prior at a different place that provided much greater value for a lower price. This place suggests the price point is because it is secluded, beach front, and set in nature.
It is not beachfront. There is no beach access and there is another hotel between it and the beach.
It is not secluded. We heard the bass of parties in the town every night and fireworks that woke us several times a night even with ear plugs.
It is not private. It is next to other suites (wall to wall) and you can hear everything from the washrooms to other private activities from suite to suite.
Our sheets were smeared with brown streaks upon arrival and the bed canopy was torn and covered in yellow stains.
The access to amenities that they advertise such as restaurant, bar and shuttle service are only randomly available. We couldn't get them to pin down hours. This is particularly anxiety inducing because you are too far from town to walk in the night for food. Then when you consume the water and snacks from the mini bar due to unavailable food and water (we were starving after arriving in the night) they charge you absolutely exorbitant amounts.
The view was gorgeous and it was a pleasant experience, it's just way way too overpriced to forget about these other details.

Upon arriving, this place is absolutely adorable. Hidden away in the lush forest overlooking the beach with just a short walk to a small private beach. But the service is less than ideal. While they say they have a restaurant on property, when we came up for dinner, the lady that was there said the chef was resting and that she would have to call someone and after she did, she said he would come but definitely made us feel like an inconvenience so we ended up just leaving to town for dinner. I really could get past all of that, but what really put me over the top was when we asked for help ordering a taxi for the next morning. We had already known that taxis from Sayulita to the airport cost around $50 USD, however when we asked the hotel to help us order, they quoted us $100. We knew this wasn’t right so when we were in town we arranged with a taxi to come pick us up the next morning and sure enough $50 as expected. There is just something really fishy happening at this hotel which is sad because you can tell it was once a really nice spot. Unfortunately the overall service is lacking and they really make you feel like a burden to even be here. Would never return.

We did not check in after arriving there. The pool had thick grease floating. There is a incline road from the bottom to the top of the hotel. Not recommended for someone with hip or knee issues. The road to get there is all dirt and very narrow. The view is gorgeous though.

The view from our room was unbelievable.

It is a hotel with a spectacular view, however the location is removed from the center of Sayulita, I consider it important to have good service and a variety of food in the hotel, which was much needed and the facilities to access the hotel on foot are very difficult just to consider it.

Good views..comfortable bed

In the end, I’m glad we stayed there. I really liked our little “treehouse” (that’s what it felt like) - the bed was comfortable, and it was like shabby chic glamping. that’s the key, you have to approach it like camping in the jungle and then feel luxurious about your “glamping” experience. But other than that…
The Hotels.com map location is INCORRECT. The Hotels map puts it closer to town near Villa Amor, but it is much further away on the other side of playa Muertas. The walk into town is approximately 15 minutes on a muddy “road”. Golf carts and SUVs can navigate the path, but cars/taxis cannot due to the rutted/washed-out/bumpy condition. Most importantly, if you are on foot (like we were), it is pitch black at night, so we were walking with our cell phone flashlights. It would be impossible to do without. I was kinda grateful for the exercise, but as others warned, the path up to the property is very steep. We stayed in Norte, which wouldn’t have been my first choice. It has a small deck with only one chair, and just a peek-a-boo view. Worst, it is right at the top of the path, and the staff park their golf cart right at your front door. The pool is basically a two person pool, so if another couple is in it, you kinda feel like you have to leave and give them privacy. At check-in, we didn’t get the lowdown on how to connect (they use WhatsApp). The water was turned off one afternoon without warning. I only got coffee successfully one morning out of 5.

The property was nicely landscaped and the views were great but it stopped there. The boards around the pool are lifting and very washed out. The wood in our room was rotting in multiple places with mold stains all over the bathroom (around the shower, in the cupboards, etc). All of the furniture appeared worn, stained and old. I was shocked by the difference in the photos versus our actual room. I wouldn’t have paid more than $150 to stay at this hotel based on the quality of the room. The staff were nice. The breakfast was nice but not fresh. I want authentic, fresh ingredients and they use juice from the store, powdered coffee creamer, jam from walmart, etc. My expectations were very high because the room was so expensive and the property has a “4 star” rating. The access to the hotel was up an incredibly muddy road and you had to climb a very steep paved road to get to the hotel. I’m in y early 30s and I’m good shape and I was astounded by the amount of physical fitness required to even enter the property. Very disappointed to $340 USD for this place, be relatively far from the town (without an easy walk).

They did not inform us that kids weren’t allowed. Upon arrival they made us leave to find another hotel. I thought this to be very bad customer service. They did not fix their mistake

I can’t say enough positive things about this hotel! We stayed here for a wedding and it was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were extremely clean and well kept and the pool was just right for an afternoon adult dip. The staff though is what really made the place AMAZING, they were so accommodating and welcoming that they made you feel like you were in paradise. My husband ended up getting montezumas revenge (not from the hotel) and we had to stay an extra night and Alejandro got us the proper medicine from town, food, drinks etc to make him comfortable before he could travel. They also discounted our room for the extra night we had to stay. If I had to find any negative it would be walk from the parking area to the hotel, it’s a bit steep - but so is most of Salulita. This place is amazing and we will be coming back!!!

It was great. The rooms was beautiful. The view is insanely gorgeous. However since it’s a little reclusive I expected a better menu for lunch/ dinner. Breakfast was also very disappointing.

The location provides for great views of the Saulita's bay. The staff were attentive and professional. The breakfasts were wonderful. The disappointments stemmed from the very weathered facilities.

We absolutely loved our stay at Siete Lunas! It was a perfect location to relax and enjoy the sun and the views. Our suite was an oasis and we completely enjoyed spending our days at their beautiful location and the occasional walk into the town of Sayulita was the perfect distance away- easy to get to but far enough to feel a bit secluded and private. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly and we look forward to visiting again!
