The 3 bedroom side by side townhome was very nice and clean. Each bedroom was on its own floor and had its own bathroom. The screened in porch and deck were great bonuses and we loved the view of the trees and lake. Wilderness Resort is quiet and peaceful. We had a great time and plan to go back!

Great stay! Lots of space for family (bedrooms, bathrooms and gathering area). Would love to return in warmer weather to enjoy the yard, lake, and surrounding area. Very clean and well maintained!

Great little place to stay at. Loved the option of pool, hot tub, or beach. The cabin is pretty outdated and small. No AC and the water had a rusty smell. That was our only complaint. Great area and lots to do in Nisswa. Really enjoyed our time. The staff was super friendly too

Perfect family getaway stay. Lots of room, comfortable furniture, lovely outdoor deck, patio and yard. The beach is small but has nice sand and the water is clear. We are likely to make this a summer tradition.

The property location is perfect, beautiful lake with great fishing and a nice beach with sandy swimming area. The cabins that we stayed at were in need of updating. The maintenance was not well done, it wasn't very clean, the water is super hard and brown, they had kayaks, a paddle board and an old canoe but not enough oars/paddles. The cabin that my brother stayed at had a broken window and it was repaired it with a Cheez-it box.

Overall a great place to stay for a quiet and fun family vacation. Cleanliness was only scored lower for the beach, everything else was good. But in 4 mornings we were there the beach was only cleaned up once. Some guests left empty beverage containers and they remained out until other guests cleaned them up. Overall though it was just the kind of vacation we were looking for. We stayed in cabin 4 and it was fairly modern, clean, and everything worked great. My family would have no issues with returning and we would recommend it to our friends and family.

This place was fantastic! My kids cried when it was time to leave. We will definitely be back! The cabin was clean, there are many activities to do, and we felt very safe even during COVID-19. Things to know: we wish we brought paper towels, napkins, and hand soap (the only soap is a mini bar to share between the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and shower). We did bring our own towels, which was good because there’s no way to get more. Also, there is no wifi and cell service is very spotty. The cabins are rustic, but we loved them! We were in cabin 2 and are a family of 6 plus a baby. It was tight. There’s a grill and fire pit right at the cabin, and the view is awesome! For those complaining about the “stained toilet/rusty water/iron stains,” please remember that you are literally on an iron range. This is to be expected! We loved this place!

The staff (Deedee) was so welcoming and went above and beyond during our stay! Unit was beautifully appointed and very clean. We can't wait to go back! Highly recommend the 5 bedroom Villa for two families or one large one!

We liked the privacy and quietness. We didn’t have paper products (napkins or paper towels) for the kitchen. Also, there was an blt one dishcloth and kitchen towel. Unsure if there should be more, but would have been helpful.

The cabin was very old school. There was a very large gap under the front door that rain came in. There were two space heaters for heat. The bathroom was gross and the lighting awful.

The drive in to the property, the main office/pool building and the exterior of the buildings were lovely and inviting. Unfortunately we stayed in Cabin 8, which was past "rustic" and to the point of just plain shabby. Duct tape over holes in the ceiling, poorly installed bathroom faucet, greasy stained dishes in the cabinet, broken refrigerator shelves, a dirty mattress pad left in a closet and a sofa that "we just didn't want to sit on" were waiting for us inside. Everything just felt grimy. We were very disappointed and felt that we paid a lot of money for accommodations that weren't up to par. I wonder if the villas were in better condition than the cabins? The views were great and from the outside, the cabins were sure cute and quaint. But . . . we won't be back.

This is a very nice property! However, there is absolutely nobody (meaning staff) around there in the off season from what I can tell. The units are very new but it appears they are not keeping up with maintenance on them. We had 1 toilet paper holder and a towel bar that were falling off the wall. The unit was very clean otherwise.

Cute older cabin on Middle Cullen Lake. New deck on lakeside. Fire pit, picnic table, grill. This property has new Villas and older cabins. We chose a cabin with 3 bedrooms that had double beds. Our cabin was older with a small older bathroom that could use updating. Everything was clean and it was great to be on the lake. Great pool, game room, fitness area and sauna. Use of peddle/paddle boat and other lake toys.

Easy to book and flexible check-in and check-out times. Beautiful wooded area a few miles north of Nisswa. New, well-designed twin home with comfortable greatroom/DR including gas FP and large screen TV. Well-equipped kitchen. Very spacious bedrooms (with good beds and linens) and loft includes desk. Lower level includes another great room with another FP and pool table, bath and BR. Appreciated the attached garage and screen porch with dining set. Everything was super clean, comfortable and tasteful. Bathrooms have generous supply of towels.

Great expierence. Originally only booked one night, ended up wanting to stay, they gave us a great deal on the cabin for a second night. We couldn't have been more pleased with the weekend. Clean pool area, friendly staff, cabins perfect for family weekend away.

The Wilderness Resort Villa that we rented was very comfortable and had a view of the lake. The check-in time was 4:00 and checkout time is 9:00 a.m. - so you really only have one day for activities if you stay two nights - suggest you stay at least 3 nights as it is a long drive from Brainerd. It does have a beach for swimming that is within walking distance and a small pool. Internet access was available but extremely slow and dropped the connection often- do not plan to work from this location remotely as you will be very disappointed. Also, at least 8 miles to a grocery store - suggest you bring most of what you will need with you.
