Classic, old-school hotel. Proprietor really care about guest experience. Clean and efficient. Right in the middle of town. Extremely pleased with our experience.

Right in the heart of Ruedesheim. The only problem is parking is far away and you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the elevator. Not handicap accessible. Breakfast was great and room was nice.

Hotel Felsenkeller is a well kept and charming hotel. Very clean and my room was spacious. Two things, however, marred my stay there, and I believe the Expedia description needs to be updated. Laundry services are NOT available and there is NOT wifi in every room. The lack of wifi had a huge impact on me, as I needed to spend a fair amount of time working. It forced me to spend hours on the hot patio (a nice one, at least!) to get the access I needed to do my work. My room was at the extreme end of a hallway, so perhaps better situated rooms would have wifi access, but the manager could do nothing to help me. Guests should also be aware there is no air conditioning when booking their stay, nor is the front desk staffed 24/7.

Very nice and clean property. It was unusually warm during our stay and there is no air conditioning at the property. Portable fan was provided upon request. Bathrooms do not have windows or fans so air circulation is poor. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and a good selection of hot and cold items.

The staff were helpful; the restaurant was good if you like traditional German food. The Wine list was excellent. The location is quaint but nor car friendly. Rudesheim itself is very pretty, but it's a real tourist trap. Surrounding countryside - Rhine Gorge 5 star - Schloss Johannisberg worth a detour and have a glass of very expensive wine in the Schlossschanke - seven kilometres away.

Very convenient location, and nearby parking. The manager and staff were extremely friendly and kind and concerned with making sure that all guests were pleased. The beds were soft, which I like. Rooms were kept clean. Shower ran well, charging outlets conveniently by the bed. Breakfast was tasty. I am giving it 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 only because the rooms are a little dated looking. However, for the low price it is an excellent value.

Traditional German hotel in the heart of Rüdesheim. Rooms are clean and quiet and breakfast is nice. There is also a garage to store bicycles. Staff are really sweet - couldn’t recommended them more!

Beautiful room and hotel, Staff very friendly and helpful, searched town for best rated restaurant and found out it was in our hotel. Parking is tricky but book it in advance, and try to use a smaller rental car due to very narrow streets. Will book same hotel again if we go back there.

Trying to find the parking was a little difficult, but we ended up parking at the general lot just down the street for 10 euro a day. Breakfast was not worth staying for - I would recommend hitting one of the bakeries instead. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean. Location was great and wished we could have stayed a little longer. If you have the chance the come during the Christmas market, do it. It is one of hidden gems of Germany without having to drive all the way down to Bavaria.

The hotel isn't very new or modern but sufficient. The great thing about it is it's located right in the middle of the town and Christmas Market.

Overnight stay on way through to the south. Good size room. Lovely breakfast. Chairlift was closed a week earlier and then was reopening a week later. Disappointing. Street is setting up for Christmas markets which would be lovely to see. Lovely area to walk around at night also.

My sister and myself spent 5 wonderful days at the Felsenkeller. Marko and Dolores, plus their staff, were always very friendly, extremely helpful, and most welcoming. The town is beautiful and in a perfect location on the banks of the Rhine. Days can be filled with river cruises, hiking, visiting local castles and churches,or just sitting peacefully reading on the fabulous patio. We will return and recommend it to our family and friends....you will love it!

Wonderful little village on the Rhein. The hotel was great for the price. The room was ok, but we were only staying for 1 night. The bed wasn't the best, but again, for the price, it was fine. The staff was super nice and very helpful! The concierge even bummed me a smoke at one point because I couldn't find a place that sold cigarettes - thanks again man! The breakfast buffet was fantastic too - fresh fruit, cheeses, sliced meat - a typical German breakfast.
