In the charming village of Boothbay Harbor, ME. Super friendly and helpful lobby staff.
I was in room 108. Biggest issue was finding the heating units sweet spot!

We had an incredible stay. The room was clean, our view from the table was the ocean and we could walk to all the shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend staying at the Tugboat Inn.

Thank you for a wonderful room in a great little town while we visited the trolls!

Hotel was older, but well maintained. Rooms were nothing special. Bathroom was small and dark. Best thing was the location--right on a pier looking out at the harbor. Was there in off-season, so bar and restaurant were closed, which was disappointing.

Inebriated guy being loud and obnoxious in early evening near our unit. Outdated decor. Desk check-in not friendly

It was a quick stay. Room was nice enough. I was hoping for a better view f the harbor.

We loved our stay. We were on the pier in an end room looking out at the harbor. Excellent view. The room was comfortable and clean. Loved it.

Lovely!

The rooms were a little bit too small. Also, we were situated next to a karaoke bar that went on 9 o’clock each night and we hear the noise

The Tugboat Inn is an older but they have done a good job of keeping it up to date and comfortable. The rooms are tight but it was fine for a couple. The view was awesome and the branch seats outside each room made it nice to sit in the morning and sit your coffee while enjoying the boats in the harbor.

The Tugboat Inn is a clean and comfortable space right in the heart of Booth Bay Harbor. We had an excellent stay and I have nothing negative to say.

It was dated but definitely roomy.

It was an amazing stay and the rooms were super clean. All the shops and restaurants were within walking distance so you could park your car and not need it.

The tugboat in is a huge spread of different Hotel buildings. They all overlook Boothbay harbor. Our room was upstairs, with a balcony, gorgeous view, and quiet. The staff is very helpful, and they even had a washer dryer room for our laundry midway on our 3-week trip. The touristy downtown is just a walk away, with great restaurants and a boat dock, where we got on a ferry and went to Monhegan Island for the day.

We enjoyed our stay. Check in was in another building but we were sent an email ahead of time so communication was good. The view of the harbor was Fantastic! It was so scenic. There was a Keurig in the room with pods so that was nice. The accommodations for the room was fine. The bed was comfortable.

First time staying at the Tugboat. Great location. Nice views of the harbor. Definitely recommend.

The only reason we don’t give all 5 stars is lack of room cleaning and resupplying towels, coffee etc. Was this a staffing shortage or general policy? Loved every thing else!

This property in Booth at couldn’t have been any more convenient to walking the harbor area of Boothbay. We had reserved an end unit with in sits exactly on the dock and boats were moored no less than 20 yards from our window (note: not all rooms had this feature) but this is why we chose this hotel. And it was very affordable compared to many others. The furniture is worn, but the bed’s linens were crips and clean and the bed was great. Rooms are tight but as this is an older hotel-that was how they made them back in the day. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. A special shout out for Pam!

Great location-walk to everything.

We were in a room that was average but clean but rooms in a n adjacent one story building that looked like a shed,Building not appealing! Have potential visitors ask the number of room and stay clear of 412 and adjacent room in same building! Room not worth $

We had a room that was on the edge of the pier. Lovely water view. Very tiny room though- small rack for hanging clothes just off the bed so my husband kept hitting his head on it. Bathroom is super tiny too and affords no privacy unless the pocket door is fully closed. Next visit I would chose a room with a patio or small deck instead of the end room. Unfortunately the restuarant was closed on Wednesday and we only stayed one night. Luckily lots of options for dining in the town were open.

Room very small and outdated. Restaurant closed. Overpriced

Great location. Good size room. My only concerns were that the room had a bit of a smell, common to old hotels, which improved as your run the air and the parking is a struggle if you arrive around dinner when Tugboat Inn Restaurant is active because you share parking with the restaurant patrons. The checkin is also currently about a quarter mile away at another hotel lobby, which though there were signs was confusing. Despite those issues, we still loved it. The people in Boothbay Harbor are wonderful. It’s beautiful and historic. I would also recommend it to friends and family but I will give them a heads up to arrive a little early for parking and where to go to check in.

We stayed at the Tugboat Inn 32 years ago and wanted to stay here again for nostalgia’s sake. The room hasn’t changed in 32 years! The only thing we noticed was different was the flat screen TV. It’s a cute place, on the water, walkable to the cute little town. Room was clean but well-worn, small, and loud. The upstairs neighbors sounded like they were clomping around in clogs. Pretty expensive for the room you get, but it does have lots of charm. Our dinner at the attached restaurant was very good!

Great place for a 3 day stay in Boothbay area. The town is easily walkable. The only slightly goofy thing was having to register at the sister Inn down the road but at least it’s on the way to the Tugboat on the one way street.

Right on the marina, love watching the boats. Wish the area restaurants and bars stayed open a little longer - most places close before 9 pm

Nice property/area. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Rooftop bar got chilly in the evening, but for some reason they wouldnt light their heaters.

the view was great Your upstair restaurant was very good. We had a fog hanging on over the bay that added alot to our enjoyment. The hotel was well kept and enjoyable to live in for two days.

The property is harbor front and the views can’t be beat. The room was comf and well appointed. The balcony provides a private view of the harbor.
The staff were friendly and professional.
I would definitely stay here again

We enjoyed the nicely renovated room, the amazing end -of-pier location, the keurig, the new shower, but thought the mattress was alittle soft. Otherwise, wonderful location and room!

The location was perfect, close to restaurants etc. the restaurants in Boothbay were fantastic
The rooms are in need of major renovations
Rooms are very outdated, the carpet in my room was old and smelly.
The view from my room was breathtaking, my windows faced the water. Unfortunately I could not open my windows because the windows were broken and had no screens
