Soiled linens, dirty floors, space heater, no smoke detector/fire alarm, leaking Bathroom sink, no garbage can in room. Never stayed in room, had to go and buy another room at a CLEAN motel up the street.
Asked for refund from Colonial Inn & Hotels.com, which we never received…. Awful service at Coloniel & Hotels.com

Checkin was so smoothly delivered I thought I was doing something wrong! I was messaged a code for the front door and my room door. There was a message regarding sending a deposit via a link in the message, which I inquired could be done in-person. Location wise the venue is a win. Vibe wise it felt like “spending the night in nana’s attic,” which is comfortable and homely. Bed was firm, fridge and microwave provided, all amenities were serviceable. It was easy to explore town, even if I visited off-season. Only gripe is that I did have a bug or two to kill, yet the bedding and otherwise was clean for me.

We checked ourselves in around 9:30 pm. There was no instructions on how to turn on the heat and I didn't get any response when trying to reach out to the staff via emails, text message or phone calls (still nothing throughoutour stay). We spent the first night without heat in 30-degree weather. Another guest showed us where to turn it on the next day (the switch is behind a recliner).
Great location but literally 0 service or communication.

Everything that would satisfy a bachelor looking to hike the Watkins Glen, hit up downtown in walking distance and not break the bank. Previous reviews were correct, though, per not having a chair in the room. I simply used the lawnchair in my suv. Problem solved. I enjoyed Landon's 🍕, and drove up to Solera brewery, Scale brewery and the Finger Lakes distillery. The Watkins Glen liquor store has good variety, prices are decent. Arrived at the Glen at 8:30am on a Wednesday, and I was the only one there til 9am-still very few people. Good times! Cheers
PS The pizza they provide was closed for the season, so hit up Landons.

There was a little confusion about a room change. We did not get another email for the update. But the motel was not unmanned as previously stated, and Mario figured it all out and accommodated us with a very nice room. He was also helpful with info on the area. Coffee at all hours in the common area was nice and the bed very comfortable. Best of all, we could walk the 4 minutes to Watkins Glen state park.

Especially easy to access to Watkins Glen State Park and Seneca Lake.

Convenience and location was great. Walked to park/gorge/falls and to waterfront marina district.
Room was showing its age but clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed the cozy little room and the creamery on site! Would recommend Nickel’s BBQ in town as well as the Blackberry Inn Cafe for breakfast. The hotel is close to the state park and they let us keep our car there even after we checked out. Would highly recommend!

Quaint little place. Loved the keyless entry. First time ever doing such, I was glad help was on site when needed. Beautiful room, wonderful attentive staff. Ice cream couldn't be closer. It was amazing. I will stay again.

We got a room that was rather underwhelming for the $200 we paid to stay at this inn. It was very small, very dated, with a bunch of stuff put on top of each other to save space - microwave in front of A/C unit, tv on top of dresser hiding the mirror. Some of the outlets didn’t have a cover and the carpet looked very old and musty. The inn doesn’t offer extras like toothbrush and toothpaste that we forgot - instead we were told that there was a Walmart down the road to get what we needed. I would expect this place to charge $100 at the most for a night. The only plus was the location and easy parking.

The Inn is really adorable but definitely needs some updating. The room had beautiful wallpaper, cable tv, and air conditioning but the carpets were torn in spots and they felt dirty. The bathroom floor was also so sticky, my feet were dirty after walking around barefoot. There is also no outlet in the bathroom and there’s no full length mirrors. It is self check in and there wasn’t any people around, it didn’t feel very welcoming. Our mini fridge in our room froze everything we put in overnight. Having the ice cream parlor and room with games and books was a great touch, very old town charm. Location is prime. Walking distance to Watkins Glen State Park, Lake Seneca pier, and lots of restaurants and shops right on the same road. Free and easy parking.

Very cozy stay and absolutely prime location for going to Watkins Glen SP. I walked there from the inn, only took a few minutes. Will definitely stay again someday!

Excellent for our one-night stay. Convenient to restaurants and Watkins Glen Park

We didn’t like that the house keeping did not come to clean the room and the bed was not at all comfortable (the mattress needs to be replaced). The bathroom was very conjusted.

We got in super late, but the directions for entry were fairly simple. We met the proprietors the next morning and we laughed about it in the morning. Nice place to stay.

Property was just a walking distance from the state park. Staff were very friendly and accommodating esp Paige. Room was very clean and was already ready when we arrived.

This property is old and the room clearly showed it. There is need for remodeling. Thought it was overpriced. The only positive experience was that everything is in walking distance (the State Park, the lake and downtown).

The manager/ employee on site was very helpful with local tips, served us ice cream an hour before their shop opened, and the stay was comfortable/ convenient to walk around town because of the location

Stayed here for one night during IMSA races. Room was fine and clean. Nothing special but bed was comfy and a/c worked well. Whole online/virtual check in thing was a little confusing at times but I eventually figured it out and property did respond to my questions. Creamery built in to hotel so it did get a little noisy at times but by bedtime all was quiet. Also it’s a perfect location in heart of Watkins Glen

Really liked the contactless check in and the codes for each individual door, that was nice. Even though we didn’t follow it correctly the first time the staff were so incredibly patient and helpful!! Would definitely come back!

Good location. The room was moldy and musty with lots of cobwebs. Extremely tiny shower. Furnishings were outdated. Not what we expected. We left after one night due to mold and mildew.

We found bedbugs in our room. Thankfully, it was right when we arrived. The staff did not give us any trouble with cancelling and refunding our money. The room had a bad smell, the windows would not lock and the blinds were broken. Overall, the place needs a major makeover and deep cleaning. Would not recommend.

The only problem we had with this day was one of our neighbors. Burnt popcorn in their microwave at midnight. And it filled up the whole room with that smell. Otherwise, the property was amazing.

We enjoyed a comfortable stay at the Colonial Inn & Creamery. The location was perfect; just a few minutes walk to Watkins Glen State Park. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only thing was the shower - tt was very difficult to control the temperature and flow. Other than that, a very relaxing stay at this hotel. Enjoyed the colonial "charm" of this place.
