Room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Good transportation options, although if coming in from Tuesday Island by ferry it would be easy to walk to the hotel assuming that you didn’t have a lot of bags. Pub and restaurant onsite for lunch and dinner, food was excellent.

The hotel is adequate but I thought very expensive for what it was compared to other remote locations. The room I had was a superior king suite so I was expecting more. The room was very dated and the old air conditioner very noisy. For a self rated 4 star property I would have expected at least a hairdryer as they did have a pool but noway to dry long thick hair. The most annoying thing was the room was very hot and only one fixed key which you needed to turn the a/c on. When I went for a meal and removed the key and came back and the room was stifling hot again. The hotel adjacent had nice pub food.

Location great. Not happy that we weren't notified that we had to pay for transfers to and from airport until we arrived at the accommodation. Restaurant pricing is over the top and the food is terrible.

Security was very good and the staff were amazing and very friendly a easy walk to the Ferry to Thursday Island and the supermarket is just around the corner. The Transport to and from Airport the staff were very Friendly and extremely helpful They should have there own Tee shirt I think so

We were on trip to Horn and Thursday Islands to see where my wife’s mother served as an Army Nurse in WW2. Thanks to Vanessa at the Horn Is war museum and the friendly accommodation at the Wongai.

My stay was great with nice clean (non-fancy) rooms and a good pool (salt and not chlorine). Unfortunately no beaches near by. The food was of good quality but the menu was very limited. The hotel is within walking distance to the ferry.

Loved the continental breaky and the front patio lounge. Nice pool area too. The microwave in our room was really squeaky when it was on and the air con occasional dropped out. Overall we had a great stay though.

Only single night, but v friendly staff. Nice food at restaurant. Room small but OK. Shower tiny with slippery tiles. No wi-fi. Not much in the area. Easy transfer to airport.

As above plus huge meals served. Lovely gardens. Great bed. Beautiful pool. Good tv. Old a/con very noisey, chair cushions filthy, no coffee machine, no dessert or ice cream. Front entrance is backyard. The owner must upgrade in order to compete with the better services and facilities on T. I.
