Great location. Easy transport. Free Basel card for trams. Modern hotel. Room a bit small but it is budget after all.

The hotel offers everything a hotel usually does except a bar or restaurant. However the Novotel next door has both so sorted. A ten minute walk through an undercover tunnel takes you to the railway station and bus and tram terminal so you can get everywhere. The hotel gives you a city pass for reduced cost museum access and free travel. The term Budget sets the scene, but how long do you spend in your hotel when on a City Break?

I’ve new hotel, pillows lacking a bit but bed was comfy.
Bit of noise from the train yard but nothing too disturbing. Excellent black out blind.

I use a wheelchair. The staff helped me feel comfortable AND also independent.

Great base for one night in Basel basic room but with everything we needed. Borrowed a hairdryer and adapter from reception which was useful - our son liked the bunk bed !

Overall it is okay, clean and have everything you need. But at night you can hear the sound from the pipe. The mattress is not very comfortable.
4.0
Convenient, slightly out of the way hotel within walking range of main Basel train station and, therefore, of easy tram system. A budget, no frill affair, the hotel is serviceable. Frequented by a younger crowd. Not too close to restaurants.

The hotel offers all the basic amenities you would expect and is good value for money situated in a very central location with walkable distance from the city centre. The food was good, but could do with a bit more variety. Staff were also friendly and welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable.

I stayed one night in Basel. It is around 10min walk from the central station. The room
Is small but have everything you needed. I checked out early like 4.45am to get the 5am airport bus. It’s safe to walk to the central station.

Basic Ibis. Bed was so so. Shower had hair in it. There were little bugs in the room. The location was very good. Near public transportation. Easy to get to the airport.

Definitely get what you pay for. It’s a good cheap hotel, however the AC doesn’t work at all and you have to get a key to unlock window (they don’t tell you this). The toilet room has no lock and is closet. Also gave us small sized towels? Think of this place as a glorified hostel but not much more

Very bare bones, not even Kleenex in the room. Poor ventilation. Not enough towels. May be good for young people but not meant for seniors.

Easy check-in and friendly staff on arrival. We were only there for a night after a cancelled flight, so only there for a few hours. But we both slept well and no problems at all whilst there! Not the biggest rooms, but for the price absolutely perfect.

My husband was sick with Covid as Expedia tried to explain but you still charged us. We were doing the responsible thing and avoiding people. Shame on you.

Room was usual ibis sparkling clean. But the frequent noise of trains breaking to slow down took place virtually all night and krpt me awake. It wasng a great nights sleep.

I’ve stayed at Ibis across several continents, it is budget, yes. This one has budget in the name! It’s the “budgetious” one I’ve ever seen. Staff was very nice, but bring your own hair dryer, conditioner and ear plugs.

Small room , good for a budget. Staff was more than helpful.

Though the room was small (as expected), for the price the room was absolutely perfect and just what we needed for one night. It was exceptionally clean from the moment you walk into the lobby to the hotel room as well, and it’s nice there is 24 hour reception area. I will mention there are lots of shady people in the Basel train station area (nothing to do with this hotel) but it was sort of a surprise compared to the other cities we saw in Switzerland so please be aware.

Good value for money, especially as free guest card gave FREE TRAVEL ON ALL TRAMS AND BUSES and worthwhile reductions on major museums etc. Breakfast was good. Also not far from station (15 min walk). Room not spacious, but fine for one person. Shower had non-slip floor - yesss! I didnt see a hairdryer, which may bother others more than it did me . Plenty of lifts ALL WORKING! Free coffee (and tea) making facility in reception. Blackout blind at window.

Budget hotel - up to 3 max in a room (single bunk above a double) - we needed 2 for a family of five. Fine for an overnight stay close to airport to catch an early flight. Rooms are small as you would expect for a budget hotel. Shower gel provided. WC doors do not have a latch and door only partial height. We used the car park - easier and more space in the second basement level (-2) cost CHF19. Lift access to rooms.

Rooms are very small, even for a Budget Hotel. I couldn't regulate the temperature in the room and couldn't open the window. However, you can get a key for the window. Close to Basel SBB (15 minutes walk)

This hotel was very affordable and extremely convenient for travel into the city. The hotel provided us with a Basel pass offering free travel and half price on many sights!
The staff were exceptional. They were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was great with a good choice .
Would stay here again

Arriving really late, the service at reception was fantastic. They even saved me by letting me borrow a Swizz adapter to charge my devices overnight. Clean and comfortable for 1 night.

This is a budget hotel, more suited to younger people and backpackers or as a simple overnight stay. Breakfast was plentiful and varied but average. The lack of tea making facility in room is a negative for older people, especially at night, also lack of telephone in room. The room was overly hot with no possibility of cooling as the window could not be opened and lowering the thermostat did not help. The staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful. For €30 per night more, a 4 star hotel in Strasbourg is much better value.
