I can’t speak highly of this place enough! My friend and I stayed here when we travelled to Peru in July, and Rene and his family made us feel so welcome. The hotel is charming and in a convenient spot to stroll around Ollantaytambo, or head to the ruins or the main square. Bil made us delicious breakfast every morning, and our room had an amazing view of the mountains. This hotel is located in a really picturesque spot and also offers a familial vibe as the host was very personable. Rene was ready to answer any questions we had, offered us pieces of advice (that were very helpful), and even toured us around the Sacred Valley. I wouldn’t think twice about booking here again for a cosy stay in Ollantaytambo.

Great location. Helpful and gracious staff. Nice individual-cooked breakfast included. Would highly recommend staying here!

Elizabeth and Rene are wonderful hosts who clearly enjoy helping guests. They provided helpful information, a lift to the next bright and early, loaned me hiking poles for a difficult hike. The room is smallish but there are sitting areas and reading materials outside the rooms. The rio runs part it and the only sound at night is the gurgling water. The bed was comfortable and the double alpaca blankets ensured a warm and deep sleep.
Highly recommended!

We spent two very enjoyable nights. The owner and his family were very nice and went out of their way to be helpful. We particularly loved the open spaces to gather with other travelers. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting and only wish we would have stayed another night!

I really enjoyed my stay at Humantay Lodge. I stayed in a Deluxe King room on the upper floor. The bedroom had a large very comfortable bed and a heater .
There is also a separate sitting room with a couch ,table and chairs and smart tv. I loved sitting there next to the flowing river and the amazing view of the mountains and countryside through the large windows , it was very tranquil.
The hotel is a short walk from the main square but far enough away so that it was very quiet.
You really can’t beat this location.
The hospitality is first rate. The Rene the hotel manager his wife and daughter were there to greet me when I arrived . Rene was very friendly and helpful during my stay.
Breakfast was good and the breakfast room was located right next to a garden area and river.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, it is very good value.

Upon arriving to the airport our host set up transportation for us. Our driver had a sign like in the movies which was really fun. When arriving to the site check in was super easy its like they were waiting for just us. The room is huge and super cozy. You can walk just about everywhere. There is a taxy ring right down the road. Our host has been very hospitiable and speaks aswesome english. His wife was very welcoming as well. 10/10 would recommend!

Great location, amazing views. Right on the river. Walking distance to any and everything you might want to see. Staff and family who owns property was wonderful. Definitely would stay again if in the area.

This hotel is super cute and mostly quiet which is rare for Peru. The main guy working during our stay was so friendly and helpful. Him and his wife were working there and had their baby with them so definitely felt family friendly.
Hotel was quiet as not many other guests during our stay but there was definitely road noise right out the window and dogs barking. But this is typical for Peru so not really hotels fault.
Listing on Hotels.com says includes free buffet but after we ate they told us it wasn't free. He ended up giving it to us for free (mostly just eggs, bread and coffee). The room was very affordable and I wouldn't have minded paying for breakfast, just annoying that the listing was incorrect.
The location was great. About 5 minute walk from the main road away from most of the traffic but still close enough where you can easily walk anywhere in the town.
The pillows in our room didn't have pillow cases but I just used my tshirt over the pillow - we were only there one night. Not the end of the world, I'm sure they would have provided some if I asked.
Overall I would recommend this place.

I had the pleasure of staying at this extraordinary hotel, and I can confidently say that it was an experience I will cherish forever. What sets this place apart is the genuine kindness displayed by the owner and the exceptional service provided by the staff.
From the moment I arrived, the owner Rene and his wife made us feel like valued guests. Their warm welcome and personal attention made me feel instantly at home. Throughout my stay, they continuously checked in to ensure I had everything I needed and that my stay was nothing short of perfect. Their kindness and dedication were truly heartwarming.
Klenton at this hotel deserve special recognition for their outstanding service. Every interaction with them was a delight. They were attentive, friendly, and always went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. No request was too trivial or too late at night. I remember one particular incident when I needed assistance in the middle of the night. I was pleasantly surprised when the phone was answered promptly, and the Rene the owner on the other end was polite, understanding, and eager to help. Their willingness to go the extra mile even during the late hours speaks volumes about their commitment to guest satisfaction.
Not only was the service exceptional, but the accommodations were also superb. My room was tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, and provided all the comforts I could ask for. The attention to detail in every aspect of the room was evident, creating a welcoming

Ollantaytambo is a relatively small town, means it could be difficult to find luxurious place to stay. And there is no need for this. You need a place to sleep after visitng inka city here and get ready for Machu Pichhu trip next day. This place fits this purpose. 15 min walk from train station, 10 min from center with restaurants. Its not expensive, but if you go cheaper that will be hostel with shared bathroom. So for 40-45 usd budget per night per room - very nice place to stay, recommended.

Good service but the condition of the place need to get better, we didn’t have to much hot water and it was cold inside the place. Place was clean. But they need to fix a few things in the infrastructure.

The staff was great!! We were heading in the wrong direction and an employee of the hotel came to meet us and lead us to the hotel. The room was just sooo damp.

Overall, the place was good. Comfortable bed. Easy location to shopping and food.. just that the bathrooms get very moist and wet. They need to install a fan.

All was great there and the nice lady was also very informative. She let us know hot to get to Machu Picchu bus. They've also changed one of out 3 rooms (without up-charging) for the better one.
Breakfast was delicious! Would come back for sure!

We booked a double room and they give us a twin room, we changed the room for a double room, but surprise ! The room doesnt have window, just a kind of window on the mirador and the stairs ( the access for all the other room so super noisy) and of course a room without window the water of the shower cant evacuate ! The room is full of humidity and mould problem, the room smell very bad. the wall was cover of water all night long and you cant open the window cause you dont have one.The location isnt very good, very far of the center of Aguas Calientes. The breakfast was good and complete. The wifi doesnt work in the room.
