This hotel was perfect for a few nights in Ollantaytambo - close to the downtown area but also close to the train station for an early Machu Picchu train departure. The family who runs it is so sweet - they make breakfast for the guests and will even pack up a to-go box if you have an early morning. The rooms are fine and can be a bit loud with the main road to the train station nearby, but the experience here was wonderful overall. We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying here!

We loved our stay. The owners are awesome. This is a very convenient location. The room was great. There was consistent warm water and the Internet was usually good. The road next to it is busy making it a little loud, but that would be true for all the hotels in the area.

It is an excellent location close to restaurants and the train. We were able to store our bags there while we went to Machu Picchu.
The sound of the river outside our window helped us fall asleep

close to restaurants, scared valley & train station, Host was very nice & made us good breakfast. Building is old & lot of constructions around, otherwise good value for money!!

Basic property, breakfast ok, hotel unaware of Orbitz booking or prepayment. Rating raised because staff were very helpful, particularly when our prepaid bus did not appear the next morning.

The staff was really useful and I had a great night sleep with the river flowing noise. Near the train and bus station and also the centro.

Room was old and poorly maintained. Shower water was barely lukewarm. Very disappointing

Definitely a hostel, not a hotel. The water would not turn off all the way, no soap or shampoo was provided. Pillows were dirty.

Clean and safe hotel. But most important the staff are amazing and very helpful. We lost our bag in bus and they helped us to get it back. Really recommend this hotel

Fairly simple accommodations, but the staff was fantastic. The front desk staff made us a take away breakfast since we were leaving before normal breakfast hours and they willingly kept our luggage until we returned to pick it up the next day.

Great stay, constant noise from the streets, but after long day we didnt care. Walking distance to the train station. Breakfast was from 7am, but receptionist packed breakfast to go for 8 people, because we were leaving at 6:30am, super nice. Recommend

Very close to train station just beside the track which may bring the noise when the train comes, but not effect sleep in the night.

The host is awesome. Waking up early at 4am to help me store my luggage and prepare a takeaway breakfast for me for my Machu Picchu tirp! Really appreciate that!

It was a basic room with a cold shower. The beds were comfortable and clean. Outside noise was a bit loud. They held our luggage overnight and we were within walking distance of the rail station. Great value for what we paid.

Good location (between train station & town), clean room and enough things to keep warm during night (no heating though). They gave our breakfast to go which was really nice since the train boarding started already at 5:40am
The stream runs right by the building and creates quite a bit of noise. Also noise from the roosters on the next property.

Great location close to center but on the way to the Machu Pichu train station. 5 minute walk to ruins. Basic, but comfortable. Friendly and accommodating staff but not much English spoken. Great value!

We really enjoyed our time in Ollantaytambo and it all started with the Hostal. it was quiet and comfortable. The river running alongside the hotel was loud but peaceful and comforting. The staff was extremely helpful. We extended our stay we enjoyed it so much.

Wonderful and heartwarming! We spent 3 nights and we were extremely happy to meet amazing people who would do their best to satisfy guests. This place is for people who are looking for all the basic needs without any frill or luxury. This place has things like clean beds, good breakfast (orange juice squeezed on site), a warm shower, etc. The day we made a day trip to Machu Picchu, we left at 4:15am, and Maria, the owner, has already prepared each of us a lunch bag with goodies like a chocolate bar and candies. We were so thankful that she even woke up before us and wished us a good day. Like many other places in Ollantaytambo and Cusco, language could be a bit of a problem since we don’t speak Spanish but we got by okay because Maria tried her best to understand our needs. We met some of her family members as well, and her daughter and son-in-law spoke English fluently. Everyone including a working staff was so kind, constantly asking us what we need. If it’s something they could do, they would do it right away! We simply had to ask - for example, we got extra towels and blankets, and a small portable heater because it was getting cold at night. Also like many other places in Peru (blessed by their pleasent weather all year long), windows are simply sliding pieces of glass, so it can get noisy with traffic around train’s departures and arrivals. Overall, it’s a charming place where I could feel the generosity and kindness of a small town.
