What a perfect little room to stay in while in town for work. The closet space could be a smidge bigger but honestly all else was lovely. The breakfast service on the lobby floor was also stellar. Bed was comfortable. Would absolutely stay there again!

Lovely hotel with comfortable bed, beautiful room, excellent dining and bar experiences (3 on property). Service was impeccable and the neighborhood is fun with lots to do. My only discomfort was the lack of a bureau to put clothes away. The bathroom, while large, had very little space to unpack cosmetics and such.

Hotel is tired. Bedding is horrible. Elevators are old and slow. A two-star property with four-star rates.

My friends and I were excited to go look at the view of Chicago from the Cabana Club on the 6th floor. After looking around for a few minutes, an extremely rude employee started walking towards us with a bad look on her face and when she got to the outdoor part said “You’re not allowed to be up here, it’s closed for a private party.” After telling her that neither my friends nor I were aware of this she rudely proclaimed that there was a sign on the first floor. We apologized for not knowing, or having seen the sign, and so we went back to our room. When we were back at the lobby subsequently, we found a sign next to the elevator that simply stated, “Closed for a private event”. But what happened to be closed for a private event was not actually indicated anywhere on this sign. It could have just as well been in reference to the Robey Cafe, which is right there in the hotel lobby only steps away from the sign. It was just very frustrating to get unrightfully chewed out by a member of the staff who had no intention of being forgiving or understanding of a simple mistake. I mean, god forbid we are able to use all of the amenities that are advertised to come with a stay that I pay my hard earned money for, right?

Fabulous location.
Could have used more shelves and storage in room especially bathroom. Chic but not practical.

The Robey is an experience in itself. The rooms are amazing, the beds so comfortable, friendly staff, good restaurants, and great location. Unfortunately when our room was cleaned the coffee and cups, cream, etc…was not restocked. I called to the front desk but finally just went downstairs to the lobby and brought it up to the room. The only other issue we had was the tv did not work, not sure if it was the remote or the tv itself. I just think for $400+ a night there should not be issues. Regardless, it’s an amazing hotel and I would absolutely stay there again.

My mom and I stayed in the double queen room for 3 nights and had a fantastic stay. The room was beautiful and modern, the people were SO friendly, and atmosphere of the hotel was very hip and the rooftop was one of the best I've seen in the city. All around a great experience and despite it being a bit pricey, it was worth it. Great location next to the L

Convenient location. The staff was hit and miss.
Some of the people working at the front desk were not very friendly/warm and did not speak slowly or clearly when they were explaining things. I had to ask them to repeat what they said ... I am 40 years old and not hard of hearing.
I would consider staying here in the future, but only if there are improvements to the staff and their attitude.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The different bars and restaurants were fun and unique!

Staff was great, room was clean, and stocked mini fridge is a nice benefit

We have stayed here many times. Very few lodging options available around this neighborhood.
This property could be so much more - but it needs a major capital investment.

Loved my stay!! The team here was fantastic (special shout out to Alyeeah at the front desk and it’s a beautiful hotel and definitely is where I’ll plan to stay next time I’m in town

Upscale, great design, clean and great restaurants on-site and surrounding area.

A unique step back in time. Cool little spot. We enjoyed the skyline from the roof top bar and had a wonderful breakfast at the downstairs restaurant. Safe walkable part of town and very close to the hop on the train to go explore the rest of Chicago. We had a great stay!

Way overpriced for the general vibe of the hotel. Great concept and location, under executed.

What a great location! Valet parking was easy, and we were able to walk to a ton of places in the area.

Friendly staff, clean room, good amenities, great location .

We enjoyed our stay, staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean with incredible views. We loved convenience for our needs and Robey cafe downstairs was superb. It’s an older building: our bathroom sink would clog frequently and the shower water took time to stop after shutting off. Otherwise, a charming stay. It is quite pricey but met our overall needs very well. Staff were lovely and attentive.

We had a great stay at The Robey. The room was clean, comfortable, and stylish. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
There were some issues with an elevator (it’s an older building) and although I was only asking whether it was currently functional, the staff later let me know they comped a couple nights of valet parking for any inconvenience.
We would definitely stay again. The location, right next to the blue line and walking distance to amazing food (Mindy’s Bakery, Taqueria Chignon, etc) is perfect.

By far my favorite hotel - incredibly cool ‘vintage’ vibes but also with all of the conventional accommodations you would expect for the current times

We’ve never stayed at this property but decided last minute for a staycation just parents. Check in was at 3 but they were a bit behind and the checkin desk kindly gave us 2 drink tokens for the bar they have a partnership with and a bfast order for the next day, which was very thoughtful and appreciated.
We’ll definitely stay here again.

I loved the hotel and the neighborhood a lot. The roof is magnificent. The room interior is so tasteful. My only issue had been with the pillows being smelly. The sheets and covers were clean and well, but the pillows were stinky due to previous use. Not too bad but a little noticeable for people who are nitpicking like myself. Other than that people worked there were all so nice and helpful. Would definitely stay there again

I love this place - great location, two on-site bars, really cool rooms, and it's quiet, despite being in the center of everything.

Beautiful, modern-style room with concrete/tile floors, huge windows, generous amenities, and very kind & helpful staff.

A beautiful Art Deco office building, repurposed as a hotel.
The rooms are decorated in a unique style snd though on the smallish side are effeciently laid out and quite comfortable.
Close to the CTA, there is a bit of train noise but you get used to it.
The staff are professional and helpful
My one complaint is the lack of beverage options for those who choose to abstsin from alcohol.
But it is conveniently located, close to a wonderful walking trail (the 606) and to shops and dining options.
We have stayed there before and will again.

We were treated wonderfully by everyone from the valet to all the servers in 3 of the restaurants! We will be back.

Smallest room I've ever stayed in. The bathroom walls are clear ao you have no privacy. You can literally see your partner pooping. And the room is so tiny it smells up the entire place. There isn't even a working vent in the bathroom.
The people working the roof bar are incredibly pretentious and unhelpful. Definitely not the sevirce you expect from a $600 per night hotel.

The valet parking should be extended to people visiting guests of the hotel.

Very nice and convenient

Great location - amazing rooftop bar. Would definitely stay there again. Close to train but didn’t even need the sound machine in room. Bed was really comfortable- great night sleep! Cool historic building.

Loved this hotel. Never going back to the Hoxton. Perfect amount of personality and function for a business trip. Bathroom had loads of natural light. Room size was comfortable and well laid out. My new go-to for CHI work trips.

I love this hotel! Very friendly staff, lovely city view from the room, very nice restaurant, easy access to all Chicago transportation.

The room was so incredibly small hardly any room to walk around the bed. Nowhere to even place small carryon suitcase to open and unpack; had to put suitcase on bed. So overpriced!
