I loved my stay at the hotel, arrived during the hurricane and every precaution was taken to make my stay even during the floods remarkable. Staff was exceptional and helpful and well just fun and knowledgeable about where to find everything and it's a family run hotel - really would recommend to everyone!! Great location, just off the beach and close to town but really quiet.

Stayed in the suit with a tub on the balcony and a hammock. It was really nice and had many extra features but then lacked some basic amenities. If did not have a mini fridge or cabinet to put your clothes in which i found odd for a luxury suit. It was quite espensive and thought u could find something that had a minifridge for the price. Breakfast was included tho and it was quite good. Also if you select pay at the hotel, you have to pay in cash?? Which i wish i had known before booking because it felt sketchy bringing that much cash with me.

Our family of three (2 adults and a teenager) spent 8 nights at Tierra Mia. We could not be happier with our experience. It was our first visit to Holbox, and so we didn’t know the lay of the land. We wanted something close enough to good beaches and town centre but quiet. Tierra Mia had really good reviews and was in our price range. It proved to be the perfect place for us. The room was very clean with nice design touches. The layout of the property is lovely - a central courtyard with a pool and lots of lounging options. It was a great place to go when the beach got too hot. The beach is a 3 minute walk away - close enough to walk in your bathing suit and bare feet, but removed from the busyness of the beachfront (we realized that the drawback for the pricey beachfront hotels is that many of them have quad/golf cart traffic running in front of them along the beach roadway). Tierra Mia includes a lovely breakfast (Mexican and other options) in the room rate and it was a great way to start the day. To top it off, Tierra Mia has amazing staff. So friendly and helpful. The front desk staff in particular (Yisel and Fernanda) were a total delight and went out of their way to make it a special stay for us. We highly recommend Tierra Mia and would love to stay there again on a future visit.

Loved our stay here. So close to the beach, towards the quiet end. Great pool facility, beds were comfy and we had a safe in the room. Felt safe and was very quiet. Breakfast options were amazing. Only downside is that we went on early morning excursions and breakfast ended at 10am so ended up missing some days.

Packed with young people and good vibes, the hotel offers great value for money. Good location, which is 2 minutes walking to the beach and 10 minutes to the city center. Shoutout to the pancakes in the morning!
The only sad note (if you are a privacy maniac) was the lack of privacy. Our room was on the ground floor and the bathroom had a window on the outdoor stairs. Obviously, we happened to share the hotel with a couple of curious guests that enjoyed looking in on their way up.

A beautifully designed hotel with a very eco feel that fits nicely into vide of the island. Staff very helpful from front desk through to restaurant and cleaning. Just a brief visit this time but would stay here again if returning to the wonderful Holbox

A wonderful and thoughtfully managed property. Its a real gem of place. Nice additions to rooms, like a safe, toiletries, beach towels. Lovely large pool area which is all kept super clean and well maintained. All staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend and hope to be back soon.

Very beautiful hotel. We had a superior room and it was nicely arranged. We had a lovely terrace with an hammock which we really enjoyed.
For two evenings the electricity cut on the island for few hours, but it was part of the experience and part of this wild island.
Breakfast was really good! We loved it. Considering other hotels we have been to in Valladolid and Tulum, the one in Tierra Mia was the best! In other hotels the portions were very small or less good letting us often hungry but it never happened to us in this hotel. So highly appreciated!

We love staying at Tierra Mia. This was our third time, and our first time staying there with a child. The space is welcoming and beautiful. The pool is magical and exactly what you need to cool off. The staff is thoughtful and kind. Breakfast is plentiful (though I do miss the smoothies they used to have - now you can buy them at a shop in town). It is a 5 minute stroll to the beach (in an area that is not super populated) and also an easy walk to the town center. Renting bikes makes everything even more accessible. I would certainly return.

The staff at Tierra Mía Hotel were great. The food was amazing and the rooms were incredibly. I will certainly go back there whenever I can!

Incredible nature oasis. The whole island was rained out, so a lot of the area was flooded and missed out on some of the amenities due to the storms. Important note: Wi-Fi ONLY located in the lobby, not accessible in the rooms.

The property had excellent customer service. Luis and Dennis were very helpful in the duration of our stay. Housekeeping was on point and made sure your room was serviced even later in the day. The property has several amenities such as hammocks swinging beds that are on the exterior accompanying the pool area. I would definitely recommend this hotel. And I've stayed at several at Isla Holbox.

Lovely boutique hotel, located in the best part of the island convenient for Playa Mosquito. Beautiful room and common areas, perfect breakfast.

I was overall disappointed with my stay at Tierra Mia. The room itself was spacious and clean. We arrived on the last ferry, when the front desk closes. They waited for us to arrive past their closing time so we could get checked in. Unfortunately we were given room 1, which is right behind the front desk and so all the hotel guests have to walk right past the room. We also had a lot of noise from the kitchen and breakfast dining area. We could also hear noise from all the other guests at all hours, which is probably the case for all the rooms. The door to the room is a sliding glass door so we had to keep the blinds drawn the entire time for privacy. What was really disappointing was that we had a few small issues with the room, which by themselves weren't the end of the world, but were handled poorly by the staff. Issue #1: When we told the front desk person our TV did not work, she rolled her eyes and told us we had to use BOTH the remotes. Yes, we did that, it does not work. Issue #2: The shower does not drain. "Oh, that's weird, no one has ever complained about that before." Issue #3: Screen door does not stay shut. "Oh I'll send someone later to check it out."TV was fixed but the other two things were not, and there was never any apology or effort to mitigate the situation. When I asked for a different room, I was told they were full. When we checked out, there was no "Thank you for your visit." For this price, find yourself a hotel with actual hospitality.

Spotty stay overall. They put us in a room where other guest walked across our balcony and did not seem to be concerned about our privacy. Lady at front desk was not helpful whatsoever. WiFi was very spotty and sometimes had to sit in lobby to get a signal. Mattresses were not that comfortable and somewhat hard. Our shower drain was clogged and they never responded to our repair request. I had a much better experience staying in hotels at half the price.

Quiet location away from the party noise of the main drag. 2 minute walk to the beach. Reasonably priced. Friendly, helpful staff. Bring or buy a styrofoam cooler (ice is a 5 minute walk) as there are no refrigerators in the rooms.

It is a good place to stay, the staff is great and the accommodations are well kept since the place seems pretty new. The bed was super nice and comfortable and everything worked nice in the room, A/C, TV, water heater, etc.
I think the price paid was reasonable when I compare to another two places I have stayed at Holbox in the past. I have stayed a total of 4 times at Holbox and prices keep increasing for what you get.
The reason I gave "OK" to cleanliness is because there was one out of 6 days in our stay which we left at 12:45 PM and they did not made the room despite desperately needing it.
They are very particular about their towels, you only get 1 towel per person, no hands or facial towels, they have a sign that you will get charged if you use the towel to clean shoes, floors or remove makeup and during the 6 days we did not get more bottles of water except for 2 small ones we got when we checked in and moreover no more soap, shampoo, etc.

This is a beautiful place to stay and it's decorated like a boho dream. Do not come to the island hoping for cell service or wifi. The wifi in the hotel never worked and the cell service would go out for half a day at a time. The staff is great and our stay was nice and quiet. The pool bottom is a little dirty but the water seemed clean. I would stay here again.Another tip for the island, they don't have the infrastructure to drain away rain water so it floods the streets and there is standing water everywhere.

Tell enjoyed the made to order breakfast. The room was comfortable and everything very clean and in working order. The balcony was awesome. Boutique vibes made it feel special and unique. Not a bad location in relation to beach, points of interest and restaurants. Would have been icing on the cake if Bikes were free but they did have some available for rental.

Stay away from this property.
The cleaner tried to set up a theft of a pair of silver earrings from our bathroom by hiding them different places in the room including on the floor in a corner under the sink. So that we would forget them when leaving. There is a safe in the room, but not big enough for a computer.
After 10pm there is no staff (literally nobody) on the premises. The receptionist goes home and there is no security. They leave the door open so anyone can walk in and up to the rooms. I get that the island is safe, but it's ridiculous when you pay close to hundred bucks a night and to have to worry about your belongings.
There was no internet for our whole stay. That also meant the TV was dead. Not only had they not bothered to install the proper repeaters to get a decent local network working, they had also apparently not paid the ISP so there was no connection to be found even sitting next to the router. Internet worked fine everywhere else around town, including at the restaurant just around the corner of the same street.
This is just a glorified youth hostel with extra bad curtains that are next to impossible to operate even for smart people. The beds have some horrible stiff plastic protection that slides around under you and make crackling noise all night. The mattress also hasn't been turned for a while, so you sink into a hole in the middle.
Also they don't clean their pool. But who needs a pool with that beach nearby.

I loved all the ambient that they created...the simple but mexican decoration was wonderful. Just one rhing, I know they don’t wash the cushion on the bed but it doesn’t feel good when somebody else’s hair sticks on your back when you leaned on it.

Good stay. Close proximity to city center and beach...2 minute walk. Excellent jamon serrano breakfast sandwiches amongst other choices included with stay. Only complaint is that rooms have a bathroom window that opens to guest stairwell. More than a few times there were eyes looking into our bathroom.

Location is great. Staff are friendly and helpful. Quiet area, close to beach and easy, short walk to town. Good breakfast. Spacious room.Bathroom had nothing to hang towels on. Also, poor lighting over sink...single, dangling bulb was too low and kept hitting my head.
