We truly appreciated the Family Room. Two nice and comfy bedrooms with 3 beds total, a massive living and dining area (no stove but with microwave and big fridge). It had very hot water in the bathroom and the pool was old but wonderful. In general it’s dated but functional and nice. I do with they provided more utensils and plates in the family rooms. This would make a big difference. We left some behind for the next family, which hopefully will be helpful.

The hotel is consistently clean with fantastic cleaning staff who do a great job every day. I had a wonderful week-long stay, sleeping well each night thanks to the blinds on the windows and the quiet atmosphere in my room despite its proximity to the pool. The front desk always had someone available, and there was fresh water to drink (although it was slightly warm) along with a fridge in every room.
The hotel is super close to downtown, restaurants, and there's an awesome Restaurant serve pizza and taco joint right across!

Beautiful hotel, staff is very very nice and helpful. Very natural vibe and is close to restaurants & a short walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again. The hotel is maintained very well and the rooms are large and spacious.

Really lovely property in a a great location near the centre of town and an easy walk to the beach and ferry. Staff were helpful and friendly, the room exceeded expectations and was very spacious and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and lush with a great pool. Would absolutely stay again!

There is nothing we did not like. Super hosts...!!! You really are their guest. The rooftop has a good view of sunset, although awesome view of sunrise. If you're seeking a great stay at a boutique hotel, easy to walk everywhere to enjoy Holbox and experience cultural living, Do Not Miss the chance to stay here. It's everything you could ask for

The entire property and furniture needs a desperate upgrade. Everything is ages old, in addition, the staff is lacks customer service and hospitality service with guest. Never again will stay.

This is a basic hotel, but great value. Rooms were spacious, bed was very comfortable, pool area was nice. Check in and check out went very smoothly. Great Taco place across the street. Far enough from the busy part of town for it to be quiet at night. Close enough to get to the action. Note that the light on the ac is bright, so if you need complete darkness bring an eye mask.

When asking staff what was happening they would laugh and pretend they couldn’t speak English or just say they didn’t know what was happening. They have tried to say this was an island wide fault when friends staying at various hotels and villas on the island all had water and power that we had to go and use. Hotel refusing to give any refund for the 3 days affected as they say it happens constantly - this is not mentioned anywhere on their website or Expedia and was not mentioned to us upon checking in. Please book a different hotel in Holbox to avoid your trip being ruined as there was plenty of ones that still had electricity and water and more helpful staff.

Thank you to all the staff for the warm hospitality. The room was excellent. Great A/C, TV channels, spacious bathroom and the pool was nice. House keeping did a great job as well. I loved that the location was only two blocks from everything that was needed. A special shout out to the receptionist at the front desk, she’s so sweet and made me feel at home. Thanks again!!

I had a room with a bedroom and kitchen area, which was huge. The room was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The pool area was a little disappointing as it rarely got the sun, hence I never saw it used by guests.

The only complaint I have was that the bathrooms by the pool were very dirty. Though I believe it probably is not the norm based on the cleanliness of the property and rooms, pool included. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the beach and the town square. The Wi-Fi was OK at best, which is normal in Holbox, a remote island. It makes for a great place to relax and enjoy the Island and disconnect from everything at home.

But they try to get money for a key I dropped as I was rushing to the ferry at 6am, my son dropped the key in the dark as there was no light at all I thought they would find it but said they didn't! Which seams very sketchy!!! And try to charge me for this!!

We love staying at Tropical Suites by MIJ! It is our go to hotel on the island when we bring our 9yo son. We get our own bedroom and he gets to sleep on a pull out sofa, which he loves!
The rooms are HUGE so there is lots of space for our luggage without it getting in your way.
Air conditioning works great!
Pool was nice for the kids after a long day at the beach.
Location us PERFECT!!!! Easily walkable to town square.

Only thing i would want is somewhere to put a rental bike! They don't allow bikes past the front door. But having a little area for people to put a bike to lock up inside the property would be beneficial.
